Chapter 179: Chapter 179: I Have an Idea

Bai Wanwan’s face scrunched up in disgust. She turned her head away and fanned herself twice with a leaf.

"Did you get some meat stuck in your teeth? Your breath stinks like rotten flesh."

"Ah!"

The mountainously built female’s face instantly flushed red. Veins bulged on her thick arms as she rolled up her sleeves, ready to strike.

Even now, there wasn’t a trace of fear on Bai Wanwan’s face.

She didn’t even bat an eye, still leisurely waving her leaf fan.

Only when the fist was right in front of her face did she slowly raise a single finger. "If this punch so much as touches my clothes, you and your Beast Husband will be feeding the Cannibal Fish tomorrow."

The fist stopped dead in mid-air.

The female’s eyes, wide and round, darted about. "What did you say?"

Bai Wanwan gave her a smile. "Do you know who I am?"

"I do! You’re an outsider female."

’How dare an outsider female be so arrogant! The Golden Lion Tribe has had plenty of outsider Beastmen before, and they all tucked their tails between their legs and tread carefully. None of them were ever as brazen as her.’

Bai Wanwan noticed the vicious glint in her eyes, turned slightly, and pointed a hand toward the spacious stone house. "That’s right, I’m an outsider female. But have you ever stopped to think... why would an outsider female like me get to live in *this* stone house?"

The female fell into Bai Wanwan’s rhythm, forgetting she was about to throw a punch.

"Why?"

Bai Wanwan turned back and winked. "Use that not-so-bright little head of yours and think about it. I’ll give you one piece of friendly advice: don’t mess with me. If I’m powerful enough to live in this stone house, I’m powerful enough to have you and your Beast Husband fed to the Cannibal Fish."

"You... you!" The female was so angry her nostrils flared. She sputtered, unable to say anything more.

Bai Wanwan pushed aside the hand pointed at her face. "Enough with the ’you, you, you.’ Go cool off somewhere else. And stop standing in front of me, you’re blocking my breeze."

Bai Wanwan went back to leisurely fanning herself with the leaf. Beside her, Shi Hua stared with a look of pure admiration and envy.

After the mountain of a female left, Shi Hua couldn’t help but speak up. "Sister Wanwan, you’re amazing! You scared her off with just a few words."

’Shi Hua couldn’t understand. Why was she always bullied in the Black Dog Tribe? She had even fought back, but the other females had still ganged up to beat her.’

’Sister Wanwan looked so delicate and fragile, too beautiful to be threatening at all.’

’But all she had to do was open her mouth, and the other females didn’t dare to mess with her.’

Bai Wanwan smiled, picked up a piece of fruit, and popped it into Shi Hua’s half-open mouth. "If words will do the trick, there’s no need for fists," she said with a grin. "Find their weakness and strike there. Then they’ll naturally be afraid of you."

’She was just a fox borrowing the tiger’s might. But then, who was it that had designs on her in the first place? Jin Cang.’

’Although she didn’t know what Jin Cang was really up to, since he was the one who put her here to be the subject of everyone’s gossip, she had no choice but to use him as her shield when she fought back.’

Not far away, Zhuo Ling was watching the entire exchange.

When she first arrived at the Golden Lion Tribe, she had also been on the receiving end of the other females’ malice. But she was skilled at getting along with them and soon convinced them to drop their hostility. In fact, they now considered her a friend.

Zhuo Ling had come over today specifically to see how badly Bai Wanwan would be ostracized and bullied by the group. It would be for the best if Bai Wanwan learned that the Golden Lion Tribe wasn’t like the Black Dog Tribe—she wasn’t the one calling the shots here.

The Talents of her males might have been superior to all the males in the Black Dog Clan, but here in the Golden Lion Tribe, there was no shortage of Yellow Rank Males.

As she approached, she saw Hu Na rolling up her sleeves, about to hit Bai Wanwan.

She watched Hu Na’s movements intently, her eyes fixed on the fist as it moved, bit by bit, toward Bai Wanwan’s beautiful face.

But... it suddenly stopped.

She was too far away to hear, but she could see that Bai Wanwan showed no fear. In fact, she was even smiling.

She said a few words to Hu Na, and Hu Na, looking frightened, actually backed away.

’Useless!’

Just then, she saw Bai Wanwan’s eyes glance her way, and she immediately ducked behind a wall.

Bai Wanwan saw that the other females hadn’t left. Their malicious stares were unsettling.

’If she was going to be uncomfortable, she’d make damn sure everyone else was, too.’

"Still staring? Keep it up, and I’ll have all of you thrown out of the city to feed the Cannibal Fish."

The other females hadn’t heard what Bai Wanwan said to Hu Na, but they all knew Hu Na. She was a tyrant who used her brute strength to bully others.

They watched Hu Na walk right past them and leave.

None of them dared to press any closer. They exchanged glances, and then, one by one, the group dispersed.

Bai Wanwan felt the air around her clear. She took two deep, satisfying breaths and leisurely started eating fruit and chatting with Shi Hua...

Meanwhile, Zhuo Ling waited for the females to approach. Hearing footsteps nearby, she stepped out from behind the wall.

Seeing Hu Na at the head of the group, her face a mask of fury, Zhuo Ling asked with feigned surprise, "Hu Na, what happened? Who made you so angry?"

Hu Na’s nostrils flared, looking like two dark caves.

Thanks to Zhuo Ling’s deliberate efforts to befriend her, the simple-minded Hu Na already considered Zhuo Ling a good friend.

"It was that outsider female! I’m furious!"

Zhuo Ling stepped forward and patted her back soothingly. "Calm down, calm down. Tell me all about it, I’m listening."

"That outsider female threatened to have me and my Beast Husband thrown to the Cannibal Fish."

Zhuo Ling feigned astonishment. "She said that... and you believed her?"

Hu Na nodded. "The Clan Leader himself let her live in that stone house! If I make an enemy of her and the Clan Leader backs her up, what if he really does have us fed to the Cannibal Fish?"

The other females caught up, all greeting Zhuo Ling.

Zhuo Ling greeted them one by one, then said with a look of mock concern, "If she’s that powerful, doesn’t that mean she’ll be able to bully all of you from now on?"

The females didn’t say anything, but their thoughts were clear. If even Hu Na didn’t dare to provoke her, what chance did they have?

"This is so annoying! Who is this outsider female, anyway? Could she be the Young Clan Leader’s mate?"

"No way! The Young Clan Leader likes Zhuo Ling, not her."

"But did you see her Beast Husbands? Besides the Young Clan Leader, I can’t think of any other males in the tribe who can compare to them."

"That Bai Wanwan is really something else."

Seeing the conversation turning in a direction she didn’t like, Zhuo Ling interjected. "Jin Yi would never like her. And after seeing how she bullies you, I don’t like her either."

"Exactly! She’s awful."

A flicker of cunning in her eyes, Zhuo Ling said, "Actually, I have an idea that could keep you from ever being bullied by her again."

All the females turned to look at her. "What is it?"

"Zhuo Ling, Zhuo Ling, tell us!"

Zhuo Ling’s gaze traveled past the other females, landing on the bright, smiling face in the distance.

She began to speak slowly. "We just have to make it impossible for her to stay here. Then she’ll have to leave, and you won’t have to worry about her feeding you to the Cannibal Fish."

The females stared at her, nodding eagerly. "So... what do we do?"
