She grew sad again, and tears started streaming down her face once more.

No one in the courtyard spoke; they were all waiting for her to finish crying.

"I’m waiting for you to finish crying," Chou Rong said. He took a step back, clasped Bai Wanwan’s hand in his, and held it up for Feng Xi to see.

"I wasn’t hiding them because of you. But since you’ve found them, you should know that you and I are impossible."

Bai Wanwan’s hand was held tightly in Chou Rong’s palm, and her heartbeat inexplicably faltered.

"Why is it impossible? I’m a Holy Female! Any male I like can leave his Wife and come with me."

"Feng Xi! You are not such an unreasonable and rude female." Chou Rong’s tone remained calm.
