Bai Wanwan was pinned down by his sheer strength. He was covered in wounds, leaving her no good place to strike back. She could only fumble about, trying to find a spot with enough flesh to pinch.

But her action immediately set Chou Rong ablaze. A tingling sensation shot from the base of his spine all the way to his scalp.

The memory of that night in the Cat Clan Tribe over a year ago came flooding back.

He wanted nothing more than to devour the female before him.

Since she had done *that* to him back then, it was time for her to repay the debt.

Pinned to the bed, Bai Wanwan noticed the dangerous glint in his eyes and quickly pressed her hands against his shoulders.

"Chou Rong, wait! You were critically injured last night, on the verge of death! You can’t do anything strenuous right now."

Chou Rong looked down at her imperiously. "Fine. Then you can be on top."

With that, he lay back on the stone bed.

His hand, however, remained firmly on her waist.

Bai Wanwan’s mind also flashed back to that bewildering night. At first, Chou Rong hadn’t reacted at all; she had done all the work.

But afterward, he had taken complete control of the rhythm, pinning her to the ground and utterly dominating her.

Bai Wanwan was propped up on her arms, and her gaze fell upon a rather magnificent sight.

A blush spread across her cheeks. She quickly averted her eyes and pulled the nearby blanket over him, covering him completely.

"You just focus on recovering, you hear me? We can talk about... other things... when you’re better."

With that, she feigned annoyance, pried his hand off, and scrambled off the bed, making a hasty retreat.

Chou Rong didn’t stop her. He was only teasing and had no intention of anything happening between them today.

Besides, before anything else happened, he needed to sort things out with her and become her proper Beast Husband.

He rested his head on one hand, his gaze following Bai Wanwan’s form to the doorway. He watched the female flee, nearly tripping over her own feet in her haste.

He chuckled in amusement. ’Let’s see how long she can keep up this act!’

Bai Wanwan stumbled out of the stone house, where Yan Lie was already waiting nearby.

Seeing her, he rushed over to steady her.

"Wanwan, why are you so flustered? Did Chou Rong bully you? I’ll go settle the score with him right now."

Bai Wanwan quickly grabbed his hand. "No, he didn’t."

’How could I say Chou Rong bullied me?’

’This is just my karma.’

’To survive back then, I didn’t have any other choice.’

’But in truth, I didn’t consider his wishes at all.’

’What goes around comes around. It’s a good thing he isn’t demanding I take responsibility. If... if he were to bring it up, I’d have no reason to refuse.’

Bai Wanwan pulled him by the hand, hurrying away from the doorway so Chou Rong wouldn’t overhear them.

In the courtyard, her other Beast Husbands saw her approach and stood up, ready to offer her a seat.

Zhu Xiu, however, pulled her directly down to sit between him and Xin Feng.

"Wanwan, are you planning to form a pair bond with Chou Rong?" Xin Feng voiced the question on his mind.

Bai Wanwan glanced toward Chou Rong’s room. "Well, about that... it’s up to Chou Rong. If he doesn’t want to, I can’t force him."

’If he does want to... I have to take responsibility. I can’t refuse.’

Jin Yi looked at her. "If you like him, we’re here. We can make him stay with you as your Beast Husband. He won’t be able to refuse."

Both Zhu Xiu and Xin Feng couldn’t help but glance at him.

They couldn’t be as magnanimous as Jin Yi.

But Jin Yi knew that male and Wanwan already had a cub together; it was only a matter of time before they were officially a pair.

Besides, as long as Wanwan was happy, that was all that mattered. Other Beast Husbands would always be appearing by her side.

It was better for an old flame to reappear than for a newcomer to arrive.

"Let’s not talk about it for now," Xin Feng said, changing the subject. "We can discuss it after Chou Rong has recovered."

Bai Wanwan’s gaze swept over her Beast Husbands. "By the way, what have you all been doing, just sitting here?"

As she spoke, Zhu Xiu took her hand, stroking her fingers one by one. "Wanwan, we should settle down here. What do you think?"

This was the conclusion they had reached after two days of discussion.

Jin Yi spoke up. "If we’re going to settle down, we’ll need to pick a suitable place to live. Our family has a lot of males and cubs, so we’ll need to build a big house."

Bai Wanwan thought about the building materials she had in her System Space. The thing was, she had always used her Points to save her own skin, rarely spending them on anything else.

This pregnancy was with the cub of Yin Ze, an Orange Rank male. She was sure to get a generous amount of Points as a reward.

’When that time comes, I’m going to build a huge, comfortable house!’

Her males stayed with her until noon. After lunch, Zhu Xiu and Xin Feng headed out together.

But no sooner had they left than Yan Lie pulled Bai Wanwan into a secluded corner of the courtyard.

"Wanwan, I missed you so much."

Like a clingy golden retriever, Yan Lie buried his head in the crook of her neck, greedily inhaling her sweet scent.

"I missed you too."

Bai Wanwan leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.

Yan Lie’s eyes lit up as he smiled. "Here too."

With a helpless sigh, she stood on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his lips.

Yan Lie immediately pulled her tight, kissing her deeply and urgently. A long moment passed before he finally broke the kiss, though his arms remained wrapped firmly around her.

"Wanwan, you have more and more Beast Husbands... will you always love me?"

"I will. I’ll love you more and more every day." She cupped Yan Lie’s face and gave him another kiss.

Just as Bai Wanwan was coaxing her pouting Beast Husband, she lifted her eyes and saw a figure leaning against a nearby wall.

Chou Rong’s gaze swept toward them, his eyes seeming to hold a smile, yet revealing nothing at all.

But an inexplicable guilt washed over Bai Wanwan, and she subconsciously tried to push Yan Lie away.

Yan Lie’s eyes followed her gaze, and he spotted Chou Rong. But instead of letting go, he held the female in his arms even tighter, as if declaring his ownership to the man across from them.
