Chapter 437: Chapter 435: Shock

With Jiao Yin’s impenetrable guard and Hua Han’s coordinated harassment, combined with the effective counterattack organized by the Lynx Tribe’s Beastman Warriors after their initial panic, the sudden assault was finally repelled.

More than twenty corpses of Wandering Beasts were left on the ground. The rest, after their leader was seriously injured by Hua Han’s sneak attack, fled in a panic into the dark forest with terrified howls.

As the first rays of dawn struggled through the mist, illuminating a tribe thick with the stench of blood and battle, the Clan Leader of the Lynx Tribe, supported by his people, walked unsteadily to the stone house where Jiao Yin and Bai Wanwan were staying.

The Clan Leader was an old lynx Beastman, his face etched with the deep marks of time, yet his eyes remained sharp.

He looked at the corpses of the Wandering Beasts outside, twisted in the gruesome throes of death, then turned to the two unharmed High Rank Males beside them. The old Clan Leader’s eyes filled with profound gratitude.

He pushed away the tribesmen supporting him and, facing Jiao Yin and Hua Han, bowed deeply and solemnly.

"Warriors from a distant land, I thank the Beast God for his guidance! Thank you for stepping forward last night and saving the lives of our Lynx Tribe."

He raised his head, his gaze turning kindly toward Bai Wanwan, who was still pale and carefully shielded by Jiao Yin. His eyes, filled with gentle reverence, fell upon her very pregnant belly. "Esteemed female, you have been frightened. This chaotic land is truly an unworthy place for you and your unborn cubs."

The old Clan Leader immediately gave an order, "Quick! Prepare the Warm Sun Stone House!"

He turned to Jiao Yin and Hua Han, his tone earnest. "Please, you must accept our tribe’s gratitude! That stone house is the best one we have. It’s sheltered from the wind, faces the sun, and is lined with the thickest Fire Fox pelts. It’s also near a hot spring, making it the best place for a pregnant female to live! Please, rest and recover there in peace!"

Soon, the nimble females and young Beastmen of the tribe were bustling with activity.

After Bai Wanwan, Jiao Yin, and Hua Han were led to the Warm Sun Stone House, the Beastmen brought them all sorts of things in a continuous stream.

There was freshly butchered meat from the fattest prey; baskets of sweet berries and roots unique to the Emerald Continent, still wet with dew; thick, warm animal hides; and even a few pieces of faintly glowing Warm Jade Marrow, a rarity even in the tribe, said to be a sacred object for ensuring a safe pregnancy for a female.

Looking at the gifts piled in the corner of the stone house and feeling the sincere gratitude and respect in the eyes of the Lynx Tribe, the tension that had gripped Bai Wanwan’s heart finally began to ease.

Jiao Yin also solemnly thanked the old Clan Leader and took the opportunity to make a request. "Clan Leader, we come from across the distant sea. I was wondering if your esteemed tribe has any way to help us send a message back to that continent?"

Hearing this, the old Clan Leader stroked his beard. A hint of difficulty flashed in his eyes, but his expression quickly firmed. "Sending a message across the sea... It’s difficult, very difficult. The Sea of Mist is incredibly treacherous. Even our bravest Warriors and fastest messenger birds can hardly cross it. However..."

He paused. "Rest assured, the Lynx Tribe will do everything in our power to find a way! By the Beast God, we will help you reunite with your people!"

He immediately summoned the Beastman in the tribe most familiar with birds and began discussing possible solutions.

Lying on the stone bed, Bai Wanwan’s taut nerves began to relax.

For now, on this strange and perilous continent, they had found a place to catch their breath and recover their strength.

Bai Wanwan stroked her belly, where the cubs had quieted down again. As she gazed out the window at the thick, lingering mist, the longing for her Beast Husbands and the desire to return home only grew stronger in her heart.

Jiao Yin quietly sat down beside her. He could see her anxiety and tension.

After all, neither he nor Hua Han were her Beast Husbands, and she was pregnant. How could she possibly be truly at ease?

"Don’t worry. I’ll always be here to watch over you."

Bai Wanwan hummed in acknowledgment. "You’ve been up all night. You two should go get some sleep."

Just as she finished speaking, Bai Wanwan felt a kick in her stomach.

Intense, regular contractions surged through her.

Bai Wanwan knew the cubs couldn’t wait to come out.

"Urgh..."

The sound Bai Wanwan made immediately made the two inexperienced males tense up.

"Wanwan, are you alright?" Hua Han asked, moving closer.

Bai Wanwan gritted her teeth, fine beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She said to the two males, "I’m going into labor! You... you two get out! Wait outside."

Since they were still there, she endured the pain and refrained from activating the painless birth option for now.

Hua Han was at a complete loss, not knowing how to help.

Jiao Yin’s expression changed drastically as well. "A female giving birth is extremely dangerous! How can we let you be in there alone? We must call for the Clan Witch!"

"Don’t go!"

Bai Wanwan endured the pain, but her tone was unusually firm. "There’s no time! Get out... Trust me!"

"Get out!"

At her insistence, Hua Han and Jiao Yin had no choice but to leave the house.

Listening to the suppressed moans of pain from inside, they waited as time ticked by. But the sounds from within grew fainter and fainter, until they could hear almost nothing at all!

"This is bad! There’s no sound at all, something must have happened!" Hua Han completely lost his nerve. Throwing caution to the wind, he shoved open the simple wooden door and rushed inside!

"Wanwan!"

Jiao Yin, right behind him and overcome with worry, also rushed in recklessly!

However, the sight that met their eyes turned them to stone in an instant!

In the dim light, Bai Wanwan was standing in the center of the room, her back to the door.

To make the birth easier, she had already taken off all her clothes.

Her lovely, delicate body was completely exposed to the air.

Her skin was as smooth and lustrous as the finest pearls. Her breasts were full and round from pregnancy, and below her still-slender waist, the graceful curve of her pelvis had widened slightly for the impending birth. Her swollen belly was smooth and taut, completely free of the stretch marks or distortion seen in a typical pregnancy!

In the dim light, her fluid lines seemed to emit a soft glow, creating a breathtaking, sacred image brimming with vitality.

Hua Han felt a sudden rush of heat to his head. His nose grew hot, and without warning, two streams of bright red blood began to flow down!

He was completely frozen, his mind a total blank.

Jiao Yin was similarly thunderstruck. His deep blue eyes froze, his gaze locked as if by a magnet, unable to tear away from her flawless back and rounded curves for even an instant. His heart hammered wildly in his chest, threatening to shatter his ribs!

"Get out!"

Startled by the intrusion, Bai Wanwan spun around, crossing her hands over her chest as she rebuked them in a mix of shock and anger.

Her face instantly flushed crimson with shame and indignation!

The two males finally snapped out of their daze as if waking from a dream. Averting their eyes as if they’d been burned, they scrambled clumsily out of the room, slamming the door shut with a loud SLAM!

Leaning against the cold stone wall, they gasped for breath, their minds buzzing. All they could see was the replay of that fleeting, stunning glimpse—a sight powerful enough to incinerate all reason.
