Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 438 - 436: Concealment
Chapter 438: Chapter 436: Concealment
Hearing the sound of the door closing, Bai Wanwan’s ear tips turned slightly red, but right now she couldn’t be bothered with much else.
Her clothes were already torn and dirty. She had just wanted to change into a clean, long cotton dress, so she could cover her body after giving birth and avoid embarrassment.
But what she never expected was that just as she took off her clothes, the two males would burst in.
She quickly put on the cotton dress. The contractions in her abdomen were making her extremely uncomfortable.
She hurried back to bed and quickly exchanged for a painless birth.
Soon, Jiao Yin’s hoarse and tense voice came from outside, filled with an unprecedented panic and embarrassment. "Wanwan, we didn’t mean to. Are... are you okay?"
His back was to the main door, his broad shoulders incredibly stiff.
Hua Han also had his head down, his heart threatening to explode from his chest, his ear tips so red they looked ready to bleed.
"It’s our fault. We didn’t hear anything and got worried, so we rushed in."
Jiao Yin continued, "How are you feeling? Should I go get the Witch Doctor?"
"No, just wait outside for a bit. If I can’t give birth on my own, I’ll call you."
Her voice was firm. Jiao Yin and Hua Han glanced at each other, both seeing the worry and anxiety in the other’s eyes.
"Then let’s wait a little longer. If it really doesn’t work out, I’ll go find the Clan Witch."
They didn’t know what was happening inside, pacing restlessly, their bodies wound tight with tension.
They were worried about Bai Wanwan going through labor, but they also couldn’t ignore the stunning glimpse they had just caught.
Time trickled by. Hua Han forced himself to calm his racing heart.
’She’s the one. For the rest of my life, it has to be her! No matter the cost, even if I have to give everything I have, I will become her Beast Husband! I’ll protect her and her cubs.’
Lying on the bed, Bai Wanwan felt the pain gradually fade. After a heavy, bearing-down sensation, one, two, three... four tiger cubs tumbled out.
The cubs landed on the bed with soft whimpers.
After letting out a long sigh of relief, Bai Wanwan heard the system’s announcement: "Congratulations, Host, for giving birth to three Orange Rank male cubs and one Holy Female. You have been awarded a total of 250,000 Points."
She glanced at the gently squirming cubs, a satisfied smile spreading across her face.
Raising her hand, she opened the system panel and immediately saw her balance: 262,050
After all the expenses from buying building materials before, she had only been left with a little over ten thousand, but now her balance had increased by more than two hundred thousand.
For the two males at the door, every second felt as long as a century. Worry, nervousness... a myriad of complex emotions wove into a giant net, trapping them completely.
"You can come in now." Bai Wanwan’s voice was filled with an indescribable gentleness.
Jiao Yin and Hua Han turned almost simultaneously, their movements so fast they stirred up a gust of wind.
When they rushed into the room and saw the female on the stone bed—glowing with a soft halo, looking even more beautiful than before giving birth—and the four healthy, pink, gently squirming cubs lined up in the crook of her arm, the two of them were completely petrified on the spot!
Hua Han’s eyes went wide. He pointed at the four little bundles. "She... she already gave birth?"
He had never been mated, but he had seen plenty of the gruesome scenes of females from the Fox Clan giving birth. Which one of them didn’t have to walk through the gates of hell, screaming for days and nights on end?
How was it that for her, it seemed as easy as... as picking a piece of fruit?
Jiao Yin also couldn’t hide his shock, but he recovered more quickly. His ice-blue eyes overflowed with heartache and an even deeper emotion.
He strode to the bedside and knelt on one knee. Carefully avoiding the cubs, he gently placed his cool but steady hand on Bai Wanwan’s sweaty forehead. His voice was low. "Wanwan, how are you feeling?"
Hua Han snapped back to his senses and hurried over. He looked at the four wrinkled but energetic little ones, then at the exhausted but gentle-eyed Bai Wanwan, his fox-like eyes shining with astonishing brightness. "Wanwan, you’re amazing! And the cubs are all so strong and cute."
Bai Wanwan smiled at him. "Thank you."
’On this journey, if it hadn’t been for them, I might not have been able to give birth to these tiger cubs safely.’
"No need to thank me. It was my luck to run into you! You’re a female; it’s my duty to take care of you." Hua Han’s fox-like eyes curved, his smile as seductive as a hook.
Bai Wanwan quickly turned her head away, refusing his advances.
Just then, a cool breeze blew in from the doorway.
Jiao Yin quickly got up and closed the door.
"The climate on this continent is different from where you lived. The rainy season should arrive a bit later here."
Jiao Yin paused, hesitating slightly. "When the rainy season comes, it won’t be convenient for you to travel with the cubs. We might have to stay here until the next warm season arrives."
’Until the next warm season...’
Bai Wanwan furrowed her brow. ’If my Beast Husbands can’t find me, will they have to search for me through an entire snow season, in all that ice and snow?’
"KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK..."
Jiao Yin glanced at Bai Wanwan and soothed her in a gentle voice, "I’ll go see who it is. You just rest."
He rose and walked to the door. Outside stood the lynx clan leader with several clan members. They had brought the softest, well-tanned snow rabbit pelts; a pottery jar of warm beast milk infused with restorative herbs; several pieces of precious Warm Jade Marrow that emanated a gentle energy; and a large, well-marbled leg of deer meat, perfect for a new mother’s nourishment.
The old clan leader’s face was filled with gratitude and concern. "Please, you must accept these things."
"Thank you for your generosity, Clan Leader, and that of your tribe." Jiao Yin’s voice was deep and steady, betraying little emotion, but his words came a fraction faster than usual.
His ice-blue eyes quickly scanned the items in the lynx clan members’ hands. "Thank you. We are indeed in need of these things right now."
The lynx clan leader smiled and said, "Then I’ll have them bring these in for you."
"No need," Jiao Yin raised a hand to stop them. "Just give them to me."
Jiao Yin steadily took the tall stack of supplies with one hand, his movement fluid and powerful. His other hand remained firmly on the doorframe, ensuring no line of sight could penetrate his blockade.
He gave a slight nod, his tone still level but carrying a sense of finality. "Thank you again. We will remember the friendship of your tribe."
"It’s only right, only right." The old clan leader waved his hands hastily and took a few respectful steps back with his people.
Jiao Yin said no more, taking a quick, decisive step back and shutting the wooden door with a clean, swift motion.
Outside, the lynx clan members looked at each other in confusion. The old clan leader gazed at the closed wooden door, stroking his beard, a thoughtful glimmer flashing in his eyes. In the end, he just shook his head and quietly led his people away.
Jiao Yin stood with his arms full of the tall stack of goods, a token of the Lynx Clan’s goodwill. His gaze traveled past them, settling directly on the stone bed.
In the dim light, Bai Wanwan seemed to have fallen asleep from exhaustion, her breathing steady. The four little bundles were snuggled up beside her, sleeping soundly.
Hua Han blinked his fox-like eyes. "Are they all gone?"
"Yes. For now, let’s not let them know that Wanwan has given birth."
’Bai Wanwan was the fastest-birthing female he had ever seen, and her cubs seemed to possess immense Talent Power.’
