Bai Wanwan watched as his enormous head drew near, its scarlet eyes staring at her.

She pathetically nodded again and again. "I’m willing, I’m willing."

Almost instantly, much of the scarlet in Zhu Xiu’s eyes dissipated.

"Are you really willing?"

Bai Wanwan quickly nodded again in affirmation. "Willing!"

She didn’t have a first Beast Husband anyway. Zhu Xiu was her type, and he was a powerful Beastman.

Besides, he’d managed to lie low in Wandering Beast City for so long and successfully get her out in the end.

If he became her first Beast Husband, he could probably help her solve a lot of problems.

"But I have one condition. You can’t use your status as first Beast Husband to bully my other Beast Husbands whenever you please."

Zhu Xiu got angry. ’He hasn’t even done anything, and she’s already defending them?’

He didn’t say a word, merely wrapping her shivering, frozen form tighter.

Bai Wanwan quickly sensed his mood and felt that she might have gone a bit too far.

She reached out and hugged his Snake Tail, her voice softening. "Are you angry? I’m sorry. I wasn’t considering your feelings just now. I just hope our family can be more harmonious."

Zhu Xiu had indeed been angry, but he hadn’t lashed out at Bai Wanwan. This was the first time he’d ever had the thought of taking a mate and settling down with a female.

As he spoke, he used his long tail to nudge her body back into place.

Bai Wanwan realized it too. Back in Wandering Beast City, Zhu Xiu had been cold and unapproachable.

She’d thought Zhu Xiu wasn’t interested in her at all.

Turns out, it was all an act.

His attitude toward her had changed dramatically now.

"You were willing to leave Wandering Beast City, so does that mean you accomplished what you set out to do?"

"Yes. Thanks to that Beast Husband of yours."

"Why thank him? Besides... he’s not my Beast Husband yet."

She honestly wasn’t sure if Chou Rong was even willing to be her Beast Husband.

"Not your Beast Husband? Would someone who wasn’t your Beast Husband venture into Wandering Beast City alone?"

For any other female, Zhu Xiu admitted to himself, he definitely couldn’t do something like that.

"Things between us are a little complicated. I’ll explain it to you later. You still haven’t answered my question from before."

She poked his long tail, urging him to continue.

They leaped.

The gigantic Silver Wolf dove into the pack, killing four or five wolves in quick succession with a single bite for each.

Bai Wanwan recognized the Silver Wolf instantly.

Hearing her delighted cry, the Silver Wolf, Xin Feng, turned his head and called out to her.

Then he moved swiftly again, working together with Zhu Xiu to take care of the wolf pack.

In less than five minutes, the thirty-eight wolves lay scattered across the snow, all of them dead.

Xin Feng’s form flickered. As he drew closer, his gaze was wary and probing.

"Wanwan, who is he?"

Bai Wanwan quickly patted Zhu Xiu’s neck. "Zhu Xiu, let me down, quick! He’s my Beast Husband, Xin Feng. I’ll introduce you."

Of course, Zhu Xiu recognized him. ’It’s the Silver Wolf who snuck into Wandering Beast City that day, the one whose life I spared.’

Zhu Xiu set Bai Wanwan down on the ground, and Xin Feng quickly shifted into his human form and strode toward her.

Xin Feng pulled her into a tight embrace.

Bai Wanwan patted his back. "It’s okay now. We’ve all made it out."

Xin Feng grunted in acknowledgment, his arms tightening around her. He hadn’t had a single moment of peace this whole time, worrying about her constantly.

Bai Wanwan let him hold her. Glancing to the side, she saw that Zhu Xiu had already shifted into his human form. Though his face was expressionless, the eyes staring at her didn’t look too happy.

Bai Wanwan felt a little awkward. ’This... this is the first time I’ve had two of my Beast Husbands meet.’

’Mm... I feel a little guilty.’

She patted Xin Feng’s back and said to him, "Xin Feng, this is Zhu Xiu. He’s the one who rescued me from Wandering Beast City."

After hearing this, Xin Feng turned to look at Zhu Xiu and thanked him with great solemnity.

"Thank you for saving Wanwan. If you ever need help in the future, I will be sure to repay the favor."
