Dust swirled in the churning gale. Some males were thrown into the air by a surge of power, spinning a few times before crashing to the ground.

The scene was utterly chaotic for a moment.

"A snake! There’s a snake!"

The terrified screams of the females rang out.

Bai Wanwan saw it too—at the center of the gale was a familiar, massive serpentine shadow.

He was slithering around the males who had surrounded Xin Feng, his long tail striking indiscriminately.

The Silver Wolf pressed the advantage, taking them down one by one with a single bite.

Attacked by the two males in unison, the Black Dogs’ cries of agony rose one after another. The battle ended quickly.

The Silver Wolf’s fur shimmered under the sun, while the King Cobra possessed a kingly air. The two beasts stood side by side.

The males of the Black Dog Tribe had been beaten so badly they’d lost all confidence. They kept retreating, not daring to get any closer.

A Beastman had used the chaos to inform the Clan Leader, and the elderly leader was now rushing over as fast as he could.

The Black Dog Tribe’s males had retreated a great distance before they saw their late-arriving Clan Leader. They immediately showed him their wounds and began to complain.

"Clan Leader, these two outsider Beastmen have injured more than thirty of our Black Dog Tribe’s males! Clan Leader, you must get justice for us!"

The Clan Leader’s eyebrows and beard were both white, and his face was wrinkled like a human’s. He looked like an old man in his sixties or seventies.

His gaze was as sharp as a blade as he looked toward Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu.

"Out of the goodness of my heart, I allowed you to stay temporarily in the Black Dog Tribe. Why would you harm my people?"

’Men are bound to lose when it comes to arguing,’ Bai Wanwan thought. She immediately pulled Shi Hua along and squeezed her way to the front.

Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu, who had been about to speak, saw her and changed their tune.

"Wanwan, come back."

Bai Wanwan hadn’t planned on rushing right up to the Black Dog Tribe’s Clan Leader anyway. She stopped after reaching her two males.

"Don’t say anything yet. Let me handle the argument."

Zhu Xiu gave an indulgent flick of his long tail and didn’t stop her.

’With him and Xin Feng here, the Black Dog Tribe could forget about bullying Wanwan.’

Seeing that Zhu Xiu and Xin Feng had no objections, Bai Wanwan turned to face the Clan Leader of the Black Dog Tribe.

"There’s a reason for everything, Clan Leader. My two Beast Husbands only accidentally injured them because they were protecting me."

The Clan Leader’s beard trembled with anger. He pointed at his tribesmen. "You call this ’accidentally injured’?"

More than thirty males were injured to varying degrees, with the most severely wounded ones lying on the ground, unable to move.

Bai Wanwan glanced over, then nodded without batting an eye. "It was an accident. My Beast Husbands were just so worried about me that they used a little too much force while protecting me. In fact, I’m the one who needs an explanation from you, Clan Leader. My cub ran off and was found by Shi Hua, but then more than ten females, led by Mu Shan, surrounded my cub. How could they be so heartless as to attack a little cub!"

She was turning the tables. Which was more serious: females attacking a cub, or her Beast Husbands attacking adult males?

"You’re lying!" Mu Shan’s face flushed, her features contorting with rage. "We didn’t touch your cub at all!"

Bai Wanwan intentionally sniffled. She was already beautiful and delicate, so when she put on a wronged expression, it was as if the whole world owed her something.

"If Shi Hua hadn’t desperately protected him, do you think someone so small could have survived your attack?"

The Beastmen in the tribe had all clearly seen how Mu Shan usually bullied Shi Hua.

Bai Wanwan’s half-truths immediately convinced the Black Dog Tribe’s Beastmen to believe ninety percent of her story.

Mu Shan stomped her foot in fury. "Clan Leader, I didn’t harm her cub! She’s lying to you! She’s just an outsider Beastman, and I’m going to make her pay today!"

Bai Wanwan shot back, not showing any weakness, "And I’m going to make *you* pay for harming *my* cub!"

The Clan Leader’s lips pressed into a thin line. If those two outsider males weren’t so powerful, he would have sided with his own tribe’s Beastmen without a second thought.

He immediately looked at the two males behind Bai Wanwan.

"Things have escalated this far. Your cub wasn’t injured, but our tribe has over thirty injured males. Don’t you think you owe the Black Dog Tribe an explanation!"

Bai Wanwan was about to start talking again, but her hand was suddenly grabbed.

She turned her head to see Zhu Xiu, now in his human form, standing beside her. "Don’t waste your energy on them. You get some rest."

Xin Feng also gave her a reassuring smile. "Wanwan, we can handle this. Don’t worry."

’Alright then... Since both her males had said so, she’d just shut up and watch the show.’

Zhu Xiu took a long stride forward and walked right up to the Clan Leader of the Black Dog Tribe.

Even after decades as Clan Leader, he was still stunned by the intense, oppressive aura radiating from Zhu Xiu as he approached.

"What... what do you want?"

"Don’t panic, Clan Leader. If everyone were a bit more polite and a bit gentler with my female and cub, I wouldn’t do a thing."

Zhu Xiu reached out and placed a hand on the Black Dog Tribe Clan Leader’s shoulder, a scarlet light flickering in his eyes. "But if... the Beastmen of your tribe can’t manage that, I don’t mind killing them all."

The Clan Leader wanted to pull away, but the hand on his shoulder felt as heavy as a mountain.

"You dare!"

As the Clan Leader roared, two males beside him immediately shifted into their beast forms and lunged, jaws open, for Zhu Xiu’s neck.

Zhu Xiu didn’t move. He didn’t even shift into his beast form. He simply raised a hand and unleashed his Talent Power.

The two not-so-young males didn’t even touch the beast hide he wore before they were thrown back violently, smashing a two-meter-wide crater into the ground.

The nearby males who had been itching for a fight immediately reined in their aggression and sullenly backed away.

"I recall the other clans’ assessment of my King Cobra clan is ’insidious, ruthless, and cruel,’ isn’t it? So, do you think I dare?" The curve of Zhu Xiu’s lips gave off a sinister air.

"I’ll have someone return all the prey you brought. Hurry up and take your female and leave. The Black Dog Tribe does not welcome you."

"Too late. It doesn’t matter whether you welcome us now. What matters is where my female wants to live."

The Clan Leader took a few deep breaths. ’He regretted it. He never should have agreed to let them stay temporarily just for some promised prey.’

’He had invited trouble that he couldn’t even pay to get rid of!’

Zhu Xiu slowly withdrew his hand. "Until we decide to leave, Clan Leader, you had best keep your people in line. Don’t harm my female or my cub. If any harm comes to them, I will swallow the Beastman who hurt them whole."

As Zhu Xiu spoke, his gaze swept over all the females and males present.

"Today is just a warning. If you’re not satisfied, how about I just swallow all of you?"

After he said this, the clamor from the surrounding crowd slowly died down.

"We will continue to stay here for the time being. I will also deliver the prey on schedule."

Leaving them with that, Zhu Xiu walked back to Bai Wanwan’s side, took her hand, and said, "Let’s go home."

’He was so damn cool,’ Bai Wanwan thought, completely impressed.

’She had originally thought her males would be at a disadvantage in a war of words, but it turned out he was this formidable.’

In the face of absolute power, all schemes were futile.

Not a single person in the Black Dog Tribe could defeat her two Beast Husbands. So no matter how arrogant they were, the others would just have to stomach their dissatisfaction.

Bai Wanwan felt a thrill of satisfaction. She decided to go back and personally cook a great feast to reward her two Beast Husbands.

As they were leaving, she glanced over the Beastmen in the front row, her eyes meeting Mu Shan’s.

Mu Shan’s eyes were filled with such obvious resentment they looked like they were about to pop out of their sockets.

So, she stopped, turned around with a beaming smile, and faced her. "Oh, right. Let me add one more thing."
