Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 98: She Bullied Me
Chapter 98: Chapter 98: She Bullied Me
Mu Shan’s two brothers pulled her behind them, trying to shield her.
"Stop hiding her. It’s not like I’m going to swallow her whole."
Bai Wanwan raised a hand to placate them, letting them know they had nothing to fear.
"I just wanted to let you know that Shi Hua is my friend. If she gets bullied, I get unhappy. And when I get unhappy, I like to tattle. I may be a delicate female, but I have two very powerful Beast Husbands. Isn’t that right, Mu Shan?"
Mu Shan was seething with anger. She tried to wrench free from her brothers’ grasp and argue, but they held her back firmly.
It wasn’t until Bai Wanwan, her Beast Husbands, and Shi Hua had left that Mu Shan let out a loud "WAH!" and burst into tears.
"She bullied me!"
Before, she was the one who always strutted around the tribe. Even Zhuo Ling had to suck up to her before she’d mated with a male.
But now, she was being bullied like this by an outsider female.
The other females in the tribe would surely laugh at her from now on.
Zhuo Ling didn’t approach, watching the farce from a distance.
Mu Shan had often bullied her when they were younger, so seeing Bai Wanwan put her in her place was actually quite satisfying.
But when she saw Bai Wanwan’s two males so fiercely and possessively shielding her, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy.
She, too, wanted powerful Beast Husbands like Bai Wanwan. Then, no matter how jealous other females were, they would have to swallow it and wouldn’t dare say a single harsh word to her.

After parting ways with Shi Hua, Bai Wanwan and her family returned to their stone house.
She tucked a cub into Xin Feng’s arms and waved off his offer to help with dinner. "No need, I’ll handle it. You go on in and look after the little ones."
After Xin Feng went inside, Zhu Xiu walked over to her, his long arm wrapping around her waist.
"You really don’t want our help?"
"It’s fine. You two had a long day. Let me."
Her two Beast Husbands had done her proud, and she wanted to reward them properly.
Standing on her tiptoes, Bai Wanwan planted a smacking kiss on his cheek. "Go and prepare the game. I’ll call you when dinner’s ready."
Zhu Xiu’s gaze fell to the corner of her mouth, but Bai Wanwan had already turned back to her work, rubbing marinade into the chunks of meat.
Zhu Xiu didn’t move. The red glow in his eyes dimmed, bit by bit, until they were shrouded in darkness.
Without turning around, Bai Wanwan continued, "You’ve brought back so much game lately, it’s more than enough. Why don’t you take tomorrow off? You can stay home and help me process all of it..."
She hadn’t finished speaking when the arm around her waist suddenly tightened, squeezing with enough force to nearly snap her in two.
Bai Wanwan cried out in pain, nearly dropping the meat from the stone basin.
"Hey, be gentle!"
She shot him a reproachful look over her shoulder.
The pressure on her waist suddenly released. When Bai Wanwan turned, she didn’t see him beside her, only the sight of Zhu Xiu striding quickly past.
"I’m going out for a bit."
Bai Wanwan watched him leave the stone house like a gust of wind. Shaking her head, she went back to working the marinade into the meat.
"Wanwan..."
Aunt Lu’s voice came from the entrance. Bai Wanwan stopped what she was doing, walked to the door, and greeted her with a smile. "Aunt Lu, you’re here!"
Aunt Lu took her hand. "I heard about what happened today. Are you all right?"
"I’m fine." ’What could possibly happen to me? The others are the ones with a problem.’
"That’s good. But Mu Shan’s family has many males. It’s best to avoid conflict with her if you can."
Aunt Lu meant well. ’Even though that boy Chou Rong says Wanwan isn’t his female, he’s never mentioned any other female but her. This young female could bear Chou Rong’s cubs; you never know what the future holds.’
Even though Bai Wanwan already had other males, Aunt Lu still wanted to look out for her whenever possible.
With that, she handed Bai Wanwan a strip of meat. "This boar meat is tender. It’s for you and the cubs."
Bai Wanwan understood Aunt Lu’s good intentions. She took the meat and put her mind at ease. "All right, Aunt Lu. I’ll do my best not to provoke her."
’But if she keeps provoking me,’ she thought, ’then all bets are off.’
Aunt Lu didn’t chat for long before turning to leave.
The happy YIPS of the cubs came from inside the house; they were clearly having a great time playing with their Father Beast.
The cubs were at their most mischievous age, constantly scampering all over the house.
Taking care of cubs was exhausting. They never stopped for a moment, and you constantly had to keep them from running out of the stone house.
Bai Wanwan had already seen him dash out three times, scooping up an escaping cub at the doorway before heading back in.
Xin Feng gently patted a cub’s back, chiding softly, "You’ve caused enough trouble for one day, and you still keep trying to run outside."
Bai Wanwan nodded in agreement. "That’s right. If you don’t listen to your Father Beast, you’d better watch out."
The cub seemed to understand its Father Beast and Mother, immediately burying its head in Xin Feng’s embrace.
"Oh! So you hide when you get a little lecture?"
Bai Wanwan couldn’t resist poking its little head. The cub just grumbled softly and ignored her.
"Where’s Zhu Xiu?" Xin Feng asked casually.
"He went out."
She teased the cub for another moment before turning back to the pan, laying the pieces of meat in one by one and letting them fry slowly.
The fat began to SIZZLE, and a delicious aroma started to fill the air.
’Smells so good!’
After Xin Feng had taken the cubs back inside, Bai Wanwan fried over ten pieces of meat in one go before she realized Zhu Xiu still hadn’t returned.
She stopped frying the meat and walked to the doorway, peering outside.
’Why has he been gone so long?’
Hearing her, Xin Feng came out from inside.
"Zhu Xiu isn’t back yet?"
"No. I don’t know what he went out to do."
Xin Feng took her hand. "The cubs are all asleep. You stay and watch them, I’ll go have a look."
"Okay. Hurry back."
After speaking with her, Xin Feng released her hand and left the house.
Bai Wanwan closed the door and went inside. The cubs were fast asleep in their little nests, letting out soft snores.
She leaned against the sofa, stroking them as she dozed off.
She didn’t know how long she had napped before she was shaken awake.
The room was very dark, but she recognized Xin Feng’s scent.
She asked lazily, "You’re back?"
Xin Feng grunted in acknowledgment and gently pressed her back down. "Go back to sleep for a bit. I’ll heat up some meat and bring it to you."
Bai Wanwan rubbed her temples, slowly becoming more alert.
It was then she realized that in the pitch-dark room, Zhu Xiu’s figure was nowhere to be seen.
"Xin Feng, you didn’t find Zhu Xiu?"
Xin Feng, who was already on his way out, paused. "No. I was worried about you, so I came back to check. I’ll go look for him again after you’ve eaten."
A moment ago, Bai Wanwan hadn’t thought much of it, assuming Zhu Xiu had just stepped out for something.
But thinking back, she remembered how forcefully he had gripped her waist just before he left.
Zhu Xiu’s temperament wasn’t as gentle as Xin Feng’s, but he had never hurt her before.
He always treated her with great care and restraint.
That squeeze just now had almost snapped her in two; it had taken her a long moment to recover.
The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she became.
She stopped Xin Feng as he was about to cook for her. "Don’t worry about me. Missing a meal won’t kill me. I’m worried about Zhu Xiu. Please, go out and look for him again."
Xin Feng hesitated for a moment, but still put down the pan.
"All right, I’ll go look. You stay here and eat some meat. Wait for me to bring Zhu Xiu back."
After urging him a few more times, Bai Wanwan saw Xin Feng out the door.
It was pitch-black outside. The moonlight seemed to be veiled by a layer of fog; its weak rays could only faintly illuminate the ground directly ahead.
Once Xin Feng walked a little farther, she couldn’t see him anymore.
Bai Wanwan was indeed hungry. Moreover, as it was only the beginning of the warm season, the night air was still a bit chilly.
Even wrapped in a layer of animal hide, she still felt a little cold.
She had no choice but to close the door and start a fire.
The fire slowly caught, lighting up the stone house.
She stared at the cuts of meat on the stove, her mind racing with anxious thoughts.
’This isn’t right!’
’Zhu Xiu isn’t the type to get angry and leave for no reason.’
’So what was it then?’
Bai Wanwan waited deep into the night.
She pushed the door open again to check outside and saw that some Beastmen were already up and about.
Many of the Beastmen who passed by her door averted their gaze, looking like they couldn’t get away fast enough.
She wasn’t the type of person who needed to socialize to survive, though she certainly wasn’t opposed to finding some fun among the crowd.
But right now, she was in no mood to pay attention to anyone else’s behavior, pacing anxiously at her doorway.
