After several hours of reading and analysis, a few rough ideas had already taken shape in Chu Xiu’s mind.

And to further deduce these ideas didn’t actually require interaction with new information from the Outer World; in theory, it could be done with Cause and Effect Points!

"Let’s try it first."

With a single Thought, a large number of Cause and Effect Points poured into Chu Xiu’s body.

In a daze, he seemed to see an illusion: another version of himself, in a sealed space, constantly deducing and analyzing all kinds of possible paths...

After consuming about six thousand Cause and Effect Points, five cultivation techniques surged into Chu Xiu’s mind.

Chu Xiu’s eyes lit up; it actually worked!

He also let out a breath of relief. If the Cause and Effect Points couldn’t be used and he had to rely purely on himself to create cultivation techniques, then no matter how optimistic the estimate, it would probably take decades.

But after sweeping a glance at the cultivation techniques deduced, Chu Xiu couldn’t help feeling a bit dumbfounded.

"Isn’t this a bit too crude?"

Obviously, he had overestimated his own comprehension. When he read cultivation techniques written by others, it felt like there was nothing he couldn’t understand, but when it came to original creation, he was completely in the dark.

It was like reading the poems of Li Bai and Du Fu and thinking, it’s just a combination of imagery and diction, right? But when it was his turn, all he could manage was, "Mountain, you’re so tall; ocean, you’re so wide."

The result of spending five thousand Cause and Effect Points on Creation was five pure pieces of trash. Chu Xiu even felt they were just some basic cultivation techniques from his memory that had been randomly cut, revised, and rearranged.

"This should at least mean that with my current level of understanding, these lines of thought are dead ends, right?"

"Maybe when I first started the Creation, I did try to blaze a new trail, but soon realized everything was full of bugs, and was forced to keep patching until it ended up back in the shape of a basic cultivation technique."

Chu Xiu found it a bit funny. He realized these crystallizations of wisdom, condensed from who knows how many years and how many Great Power Cultivators, were not so easy to modify. Those people had cultivated the Dao for tens of thousands of years and might only, on some day of inspiration, manage to Create a technique barely worthy of being recorded. For him to think that a few hours of casual reading was enough to walk his own path was more than a little fanciful.

Fortunately, all this was within his expectations. Chu Xiu wasn’t discouraged and simply continued to calm himself and comprehend.

He had a hunch that comprehending these classics, while it couldn’t directly raise his strength, would be of great benefit to his future cultivation, helping him make up for the drawbacks of having his cultivation forcibly raised by Cause and Effect Points.

This was a difficult road, but if he wanted to shake off the control of the Abyss, it was a road he had to walk.

He now also understood why even those Divine King bigshots couldn’t resist the Abyss. The more one cultivated within the Abyssal System, the deeper the Abyss would infiltrate...

After that, he completely immersed himself in studying the classics. Whenever a new idea arose, he would use Cause and Effect Points to deduce and verify it, then reverse-learn from the results of the verification. This caused Chu Xiu’s understanding of cultivation to skyrocket at an astonishing Speed.

In this manner, several more hours passed, and he had already deduced several mature cultivation techniques. Their Grade wasn’t high, but at least they were properly cultivable.

Of course, this was far from all that Chu Xiu intended to do. He also had to integrate this Core Formation method with his own Infinite Reincarnation Technique and deduce everything to a Perfect state.

This wasn’t something that could be completed in a short time. At this point, the nebula in his Dantian had completely calmed down, and the suction had weakened again.

At this level of suction, Chu Xiu felt he was confident he could safely split off some Divine Thought to probe the Outer World.

Putting everything else aside, he at least had to first make sure none of his belongings had gone missing.

He immediately stabilized his Spirit Platform, then slowly extended his Divine Thought toward the Outer World.

As he had expected, faced with the current suction, Chu Xiu only needed to resist with full force to send out several strands of Divine Sense.

Red Swan and the other two were currently sitting in a triangle, resting, but all of them were on alert against one another.

Chu Xiu ignored them and quickly swept his surroundings, then relaxed.

The Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch and the Soul Banner were both still there!

He hurriedly injected his Divine Thought to take a look. The three Ghost Kings inside the Soul Banner had already been somewhat restless, but as soon as they sensed Chu Xiu’s aura, they immediately quieted down, even though that aura was only a pitiful wisp.

But when he investigated the Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch, Chu Xiu’s heart suddenly sank!

There was a clearly visible tear on the Spirit and Flesh Storage Pouch!

This was the wound Lilith had sliced open.

After he probed around for a while, the heart he’d been holding up completely died.

Most of the items were still there, but one most important thing was missing.

Rasputin!
