Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era
Chapter 1052 - 459
The catalyst chamber is located in the middle of the central tower, around four or five hundred floors up.
Due to the energy generation from the [Melted Steel Drill]’s power section, which creates a large amount of energy, in addition to supporting the drill’s excavation, it also generates considerable unavoidable dissipation. To reduce wastage, all of the city’s most energy-consuming buildings are constructed on top of the tower.
And the catalyst chamber is undoubtedly one of them.
"The city’s history seems to be less than fifteen years, and being able to build such a colossal structure in such a short time is truly an incredible technology," Chu Xiu remarked in awe.
Although the core components of the [Melted Steel Drill] were directly brought from the mother planet, even so, this rapid architectural science still amazed Chu Xiu.
Unfortunately, in the face of Extraordinary Power, technological development still seemed somewhat inadequate. Chu Xiu’s Fighting Spirit was as weightless, transforming into a phantom in the air, almost imperceptibly appearing outside the catalyst chamber, and his Divine Soul, comparable to a Peak Demigod, swept with Divine Sense, capturing all the information inside.
Even though a Heroic Spirit warrior was stationed, it did not detect Chu Xiu’s investigation at all.
He gently drew a circle with his hand, and Spiritual Power condensed into the sharpest blade, silently slicing open the steel exterior of the catalyst chamber. Chu Xiu entered, appearing silently behind the Heroic Spirit defending the area.
Sitting cross-legged in a quiet room cultivating, even without warning arrays around, it’s evident he never thought anything on this Barbaric Planet would threaten him, thus brazenly cultivating despite being on a guarding mission.
Not until Chu Xiu reached out and gripped his neck, did the warrior shiver, showing disbelief and terror in his eyes. He instinctively tried to break free but was horrified to find countless strands of Spiritual Power like venomous snakes had entered his body, completely sealing his energy flow!
In the past seven months of study, Chu Xiu hadn’t cultivated any techniques but the vast amount of literature he’d read greatly enriched his skills in using Spiritual Power. With his Fighting Spirit’s [Spirit Transformation] Ability, he could easily replicate some of the divine powers’ might, whether it’s stealthy infiltration or instantly subduing a Heroic Spirit, showcasing these skills.
"Don’t resist, don’t struggle. Answer my questions, and I’ll spare your life."
Chu Xiu’s thought echoed in the Heroic Spirit’s mind.
The Heroic Spirit, also possessing backbone, gritted his teeth and said, "I’ve sworn to the captain as an expedition warrior; just take my life quickly. I’ll not disclose anything to you."
Chu Xiu said flatly, "You abducted my pet; I need to know where it is."
The Heroic Spirit was taken aback: "That blue-tailed creature, looks somewhat like a cat?"
"Yes."
The Heroic Spirit hesitated briefly, then decisively said, "We sent that creature, which we haven’t seen before, to the research department just five minutes ago. The research department is on floors 794-881."
He naturally didn’t trust the disclosure of secrets, but since the opposite party was merely seeking their pet, from a benefit standpoint, he didn’t wish for the captain to make an enemy of such a formidable figure because of him.
Chu Xiu withdrew his hand and vanished from the spot, not intending to conflict with these people.
The Heroic Spirit exhaled slowly, only now realizing within mere seconds, his blood was nearly frozen—not out of fear of death, but a soul-deep terror from facing an Upper Position figure with no means of resistance.
"Definitely a Demigod, and not just any ordinary Demigod..."
"Where did such a creature emerge from? Is it also after the ruins?"
He didn’t truly believe the opponent was there to retrieve a pet, seemed more likely a ploy for catching grievances.
"Such a formidable figure cannot exist in the Relics Tribe, so they must be from another ship."
From fifty-nine years ago till now, a total of seven expedition ships were gradually sent from the mother planet. These ships segmented zones before launch, theoretically shouldn’t interfere with each other, even if this area’s relics were subpar and worthless; they could explore other areas. After all, a planet so vast, there are secrets amassed over millions of years.
But you can’t stop folks wanting to pluck ready-to-eat peaches.
They discovered some decent items at the latest relic excavation; perhaps this news circulated in the black market, spreading to other powerful entities.
Realizing this, the Heroic Spirit decisively reported the information to the uppermost level, particularly where the City Lord was secluded at the top of the tower.
...
On the other side, Chu Xiu didn’t wish to cause trouble, seeking a swift end, and within a second arrived inside the research department, locking onto Blue Boy’s position.
Amusingly, he even arrived before his counterpart—Blue Boy was still on the transport elevator.
At that moment, it was continuously struggling, baring its teeth and letting out fierce screams, but the formidable Spiritual Power cage casually constructed by a Fierce Tier inside the elevator firmly trapped it.
"It appears even the greatest Talent needs diligent cultivation."
Chu Xiu found it amusing that the renowned Blue Boy was suppressed by a minor Fierce Tier. It was no wonder, given it only ate and slept. If it could become strong like this, there truly would be no justice.
Just releasing a hint of presence, the Fierce Tier in the elevator’s face instantly changed, and the Spiritual Power prison collapsed uncontrollably. He himself knelt in terror, drenched in cold sweat, and as Chu Xiu extended his hand to grasp, the elevator door and outer tower wall sliced like tofu, while Blue Boy was drawn to Chu Xiu’s hands with force.
