Demon Slayer: Rise of The First Werewolf
Chapter 357: Angels and Demons (3)
The female monk searched through the monk’s memories and saw what he saw before his eyes burnt out.
However the memory of what caused his eyes to be burnt by holy light was gone as if the memory itself was burnt from his mind.
However she saw what she nodded to see, ’ A mortal girl? No, I can sense a powerful soul inside her.
She’s possessed by an angel that’s for sure.’ She was about to pull back her consciousness from his mind when something grabbed her.
’ What, how is this possible?’ she tried cancelling the spell and felt a strong pull dragging her consciousness back.
The young girl looked at her, " I will say this only once, do not bother me or it will be the last thing you ever do." The angel warned.
The monk’s consciousness was hit by a powerful force shoving her out of the other monk’s mind.
" She..she saw me, she saw me through the memories of another, how is that even possible?"
She was greatly shaken by this, she was strong, she was not bragging when she said that, she was very strong.
She’s mastered the entire grimoire of Salavan, the book with the most powerful occult spells in history.
She wielded multiple high tier relics and can channel magic beyond the understanding of others.
She’s learnt how to channel without a chant or even a magic circle, hell she’s grown so powerful she can use magic without even channeling.
In the entire church, the only one strong enough to threaten her was the Holy pope himself.
She opened her eyes and looked at the monks and priests, " Go tell that old man the pope, one of the four heavenly kings has descended."
The priests and monks froze, they were confused by her words at first then felt angry at her disrespect.
" How dare you disrespect the Holy pope, have you a death wish and you dare claim one of the heavenly kings has descended.
Do you take is for fools? Everybody knows the heavenly kings never descended upon the mortal world.
Their very existence would bring disaster and you dare make such a claim, truly you no longer wish to live." Barked ones of the priests.
The woman said nothing and snapped her fingers, the brown robes of the monks disappeared.
Replacing them was a white and gold gown that reached her ankles, a veil of white with golden markings covered her head.
Her body was adorned with gold and crystals, even without seeing a mark of her skin one could still tell her beauty.
" You..you are the dark sorceress Cleopatra, what are you doing here, do you wish to start war with the church?" A priest asked trying hard to hide the nervousness in his heart.
" I have no interest in your church little priest, somethings more important have shown up, I can no longer remain in hiding.
Now, go back and tell your holy pope, one of the four heavenly kings is here, oh I also wouldn’t chase after the girl if I were you."
After saying that, a cyclone of sand engulfed her and a moment later she was gone leaving the priests and monks confused.
She reappeared on an empty road and looked around but there was nobody around for kilometres.
She sighed, " She’s gone." She whispered to herself then disappeared.
Somehow in a town nearby, Samantha walked through the dark empty street alone heading towards a medium sized house.
There were police cars waiting outside and inside was a family huddled together with worry.
She opened the door and all eyes turned towards her. " Samantha!" Her mother screamed and threw her arms around her.
" Where have you been, we’ve been so worried about you." She cried, Samantha did not answer.
They sat in silence for a while while the police recorded everything but no matter what they asked her she did not answer.
Her eyes were firmly locked on one police officer, no matter what happened around her, her eyes did not leave him.
Her father was an attentive man, he noticed that and sat closer to her while watching the police officer vigilantly.
" Did he hurt you?" He whispered in her ear but she did not answer after all the one he was talking to was not Samantha.
All the police left and she still did not move, her family sat around her trying to get her to talk but not a word came out of her mouth.
Not until an hour later, " I knew you would return little vermin." She spoke to empty space confusing her family.
Black fog suddenly entered through the gaps near the door and coalesced together into a man.
The police she had been watching, he grinned at her, his mouth stretched from ear to ear.
For a moment her family did not react then her sister screamed, Samantha stood up and approached the demon.
" It was foolish of you to come back here after I spared you." She spoke.
" Spared me? It seems the rotten light has rotted your brain little pigeon, I’m going to devour you." Answered the demon.
Angels and demons couldn’t be killed unless ones uses special weapons or abilities designed for it, they were truly immortal.
However they can devour the energies of each other to grow stronger and the one whose energy was devoured would grow weaker and cast back their realm.
However there were exceptions to the rule, demons powerful enough and angels strong enough can erase the existence of others.
" You, a mere level 4 unnamed demon dares speak to me like that." She took another step towards him.
The demon was not scared, he knew at this moment, the strongest of both heaven and hell can neither rise nor descend to the mortal realm.
Level 5 was the limit and he sensed power no greater than level 2 from her, his body transformed.
He turned into a giant bat winged red skin creature with sharp claws and horns, exactly as one might imagine a demon.
Demons fed on negative emotions and each demon had a certain emotion they preferred like a favourite meal.
This demon was a slaughter demon, he preferred the screams of physical pain and fear of death.
He grinned with cruelty then attacked, wind howled destroying the furniture inside the house but the family was not touched, not even a hair.
That did not stop their fear, " Samantha!" Her father roared and lunged to protect his daughter but it was useless.
Not only was he too slow, by the time he took a single step it was already over, Samantha did not dodge.
The demon’s claws shattered like glass against her skin, " No no no this is impossible, who are you? You’re no unnamed angel!" Roared the demon.
" There are no unnamed angels." She answered and placed her hand on his forehead.
" NOOOOOOOO, please spare me!" The demon begged to no avail.
Blinding light shone from his body and it crumbled into fine powder and disappeared a moment later.
She had killed it, permanently, erased it from existence entirely.
