DesertCraft: Fishing Pocket Heaven
Chapter 129: New Blueprint Acquired!
Secret Dimension.
Leaning against the shabby shed, the man—focused on tapping the air—heard footsteps approaching and an unhappy voice full of blame reached his ears.
“Manager Yu, I thought you would be more responsible for your employee’s safety. Looks like I’m wrong.”
Yu Zhiye turned his focus to the secretary giving him that cold face and casually refuted, “Who said I need to go to the Soul Hall to do that? I can watch over you even from here.”
“Prove it.” Chae Yoona stared back with that “don’t think you can fool me like a child” look.
Even if he didn’t, she’ll still have to work for him all the same.
But as an honest and upright capitalist, Yu Zhiye always considered his employee’s mental health and didn’t mind giving her more reasons to work diligently.
“Fine. Open your status and I’ll show you.”
The woman didn’t look like she believed him at all, but she still gestured to pull up her status screen.
Yu Zhiye simply closed his eyes and followed the mental link to enter god mode.
In this mode, his consciousness quickly flew down to the Soul Hall and directly accessed the live broadcast through the Soul Lamp…
A blink later, his consciousness was immersed in the projected scene and he casually read out the status screen displayed in her vision.
[Name] Chae Yoona#34
[Age] 29
[Class] Human
[Affiliation] <ERROR>
[Stats] STR (3.1), DEX (7.7), INT (8.9), CON (4.7), WIS (7.8), CHA (9.5) SAN(0.9)
[Gift] Red Specter Heart (Purple)(D-)
[Title] None
“Hmm… not much changed. Your affiliation changed to match mine and your CON stat dropped again due to your specter heart…”
Yu Zhiye suddenly noticed a rather drastic tier-up.
“Wait… huh? Your specter heart grade went from F+ to D- so quickly? Wow, noona, your resentment must’ve been building up big time. Am I really that hateful?”
Chae Yoona stared back with a poker face. “Don’t try to change the subject. Guessing my stats doesn’t prove anything. Tell me—what is in the third slot of my inventory?”
Who’s the real one trying to change the subject here? Yu Zhiye glanced at the pot who called the kettle black, but decided to play along.
“Third slot, right? Hmm… that should be your red dress, right?”
That was correct. Yet Chae Yoona still didn’t fully believe him.
There were only so many items in her inventory. She chalked it up to a lucky guess.
So she took the game to the next level…
Yu Zhiye then watched as the poker-faced ice queen slowly slid off her black panties down her long sexy legs…
Damn. Is this still a prim and proper secretary? No! This was clearly a sexy secretary seducing her boss!
“Manager, I’ll give you three chances to guess which slot I put my undies in...”
After declaring the rules, she balled up the black stringy undies, added it to her inventory hotbar, and announced the possible rewards.
“Correct once, I’ll do facial. Correct twice, whatever rough play you want tonight. Correct thrice, make me your corporate slave for the next week.”
Hot damn. Yu Zhiye honestly thought he already explored everything about this woman and felt she would lose her freshness soon.
But when an ice queen with a poker face makes such an offer, it really had a different flavor! A flavor that excited his taste buds all over!
And the best news? There was no way he could lose this game.
Three-in-a-row proved his improved skills to his secretary. Only then did she place her trust in their company’s safety standards once more and get down to business.
“Manager, this is what I managed to exchange from that four-eyes.”
Seeing the glowing-blue card his secretary took out, Yu Zhiye accepted it in surprise. “Huh? They actually agreed to exchange this?”
Chae Yoona nodded. “I also didn’t expect this. But that four-eyes somehow convinced them to trade it away.”
“Hmm?” Yu Zhiye frowned thoughtfully. “For what? Was it for some valuable treasure of ours? Can’t be my fishing rod, right?”
“Manager, I know that’s off limits. What we agreed on was a stack of raw fish, a pen, and an inc sac.”
“After some negotiation, I cut the price down to half a stack in exchange for that false tip you wanted to share.”
Hearing the report on the final price, Yu Zhiye looked even more puzzled. “Just those?”
A bunch of white-common stuff plus one green-uncommon junk exchanged for a rare-blue item? How could there be such a good deal in this world?!
Unless… there’s something wrong with this mysterious card!
Once his train of thought arrived here, Yu Zhiye felt the chances that he got scammed were pretty high, but he didn’t believe it without even giving it a try.
Since it merely required 8 cobblestone and 1 emerald, Yu Zhiye didn’t hesitate to find a spot to test things.
He moved to the back “kitchen” where he planned to use the card.
Once the card faced down, the outline of a cube, half his height, got projected on the barren floor and a system prompt popped up.
[Basic Cookie Generator (Blue)]
x8 Any Stone-tier Block, x1 emerald
[Confirm Use?]
[Yes] [No]
“Yes!”
A single tap later, an emerald gem flashed into existence and melted into the card...
The mysterious card in his hand subsequently melted away and turned into a stream of light that shot into the projected box…
Like a holographic projection coming to life, a transparent model of a cubic stone oven—that gave off medieval vibes—formed on the spot!
Little blocks of cobblestone then flowed out from his inventory and merged into that illusory model, quickly solidifying its existence…
Less than a breath later, the magic was over, and Yu Zhiye inspected the new stone-gray block that appeared next to his campfire.
“Huh… this? Looks like a normal stone furnace in the game?”
Accessing the game system showed an interface titled with “Basic Cookie Generator” at the very top.
But aside from that very obvious name change, he realized the furnace’s interface turned out to be pretty much the same as the original.
On the left side, there were the input slots. A raw food item slot at the top, with three squiggly placeholder flame stripes that serve as the cooking timer, and a fuel slot under that.
To the right was the arrow pointing to the universal output slot.
The same exact mold as the default furnace, save for two differences.
Both the raw item and fuel slots got occupied by grayed-out placeholders. The former, a cookie. The latter, an emerald.
What’s needed to get this furnace running was very intuitive. Adding an emerald fired up the oven.
“Tch. Even these generators has to eat emeralds. What’s this? A villager modded into a furnace?”
But Yu Zhiye wasn’t too unhappy about this outcome.
Though this wasn’t the no-cost generator he was initially hoping for, it still wasn’t the worst case scenario!
This blueprint card works fine! There’s no issues! This turned out to be a big win for him!
Trading half a stack of his seemingly infinite supply of fish and some useless junk for this rare-grade blueprint was totally worth!
So why did that four-eyes give this valuable asset away so generously? Did a donkey kick him in the head and turn him into an idiot?
