Deviant Kings: Claimed by The Four Lycan Kings
Chapter 107: The Queen Returns
Author’s pov~
The violent division of the ancient kingdom had saved the Lycan race from total extinction, but it had never fulfilled the Moon Goddess’s true, overarching desire.
She still desperately wanted the Four Thrones united.
So, she decided to take a huge and desperate gamble to try and force them to unite, choosing a remarkably powerful royal Alpha female whose fierce spirit, raw strength, and dominant presence were strong enough to stand proudly side by side with the four future rulers of the world, making her the fated shared mate of all four princes at the exact same time.
One woman. Four powerful princes. Four royal bloodlines.
One unbreakable, divine bond.
The Moon Goddess truly believed in her heart that if she forced the four rival princes to share this one special woman as their common mate, their bitter, toxic rivalry would finally have a good reason to end, thinking that love and shared possession would successfully bridge the massive gap between their kingdoms.
However, the moment the four proud princes discovered that the woman was their undeniable, shared mate, they refused to unite and share her.
They tore each other apart fighting over her.
Every single brother wanted her entirely for himself, each one firmly believing that the divine mate bond gave him an exclusive, supreme claim over her body and soul, and even though their wild inner wolves recognized the exact same woman, their dark, possessive hearts violently refused to let any of the other brothers touch her.
What was originally meant to become a sacred bridge between four rival thrones instantly transformed into another bloody battlefield.
The woman they were supposed to cherish and protect became trapped right in the center of their suffocating hatred. Her fragile existence was twisted into a political weapon. Her body became nothing more than a living symbol of royal succession and dominance.
Eventually, she was treated as nothing more than a living breeding vessel whose only purpose was to bear children and produce heirs for all four competing bloodlines, and even after she gave birth to their heirs and fulfilled the physical demands of the thrones, it still was not enough to satisfy their endless greed.
The princes just kept fighting over her relentlessly, dragging her deeper and deeper into their madness as their blind jealousy grew tenfold, which inevitably dragged their respective kingdoms down into total chaos right along with them.
And eventually, the poor woman simply broke under the unbearable weight of a cruel war that had never truly belonged to her in the first place, and she passed away in quiet agony, leaving behind a tragedy that became the ultimate spark for disaster.
The moment she died, the Four Thrones plunged straight into an all-out war, with packs furiously choosing sides while bloodlines clashed in a bloody frenzy of pure vengeance and slaughter.
The Lycan world once again stood shaking on the absolute edge of total destruction.
And looking down at the carnage, the bitter truth was revealed.
The Four Thrones could never be united by force. They could not be bound together simply through a shared mate.
Something much older, much deeper had to return. Something that had existed long before the Four Thrones were ever carved into the earth. Something that had been permanently lost the day the ancient kingdom was torn apart.
The blood of the First Lycan Queen.
The Prophecy.
In the wake of the devastating war, the Moon Goddess left behind a final, chilling decree.
It was not a comforting promise. It was a dark, unavoidable warning.
The prophecy was carved deep into the ancient, forbidden scriptures and silently passed down through the hidden vaults of the royal bloodlines.
"When the four crowns find the one true soul, the Lycan Empire shall rise again. The Queen’s Prophecy, the person destined to unite the four fractured kings and restore the ancient Lycan Empire to its former glory. When the Queen’s blood returns, the four crowns shall answer. One soul shall bind the divided blood. Four thrones shall bow to one fate. And what was divided by the Moon... shall be reunited by blood."
"When the four wolves find their Queen, the old kingdom shall wake."
For centuries, the prophecy was eventually dismissed by the high lords as nothing more than a dusty, outdated myth. A fairy tale told to frighten disobedient pups.
Because there was one glaring, impossible problem that made the prophecy useless.
The First Lycan Queen had only ever been recorded in history as the mother of four sons.
There was no daughter.
No surviving female bloodline.
No hidden descendant of the Queen anywhere in the world.
The fifth child had vanished into the shadows and died out of history long, long ago.
And so, every single generation firmly believed the prophecy could never come true.
Or so they thought.
The prophecy became nothing more than an ancient story told in whispers.
For centuries, the Lycan world survived in an uneasy balance.
There were periods of peace.
There were periods of conflict.
There were occasional border disputes and clashes between packs.
But no single throne was powerful enough to completely dominate the others.
Then came a period of particularly brutal conflicts.
Several disputes between the Four Thrones escalated at almost the same time. Packs were caught between royal territories, innocent wolves were killed, and smaller clans began suffering under wars that had nothing to do with them.
The four kings eventually realized something their ancestors had failed to understand.
If the Four Thrones continued fighting without restraint, they would eventually destroy the very kingdom they were trying to protect.
So, representatives from all four royal houses gathered.
They did not unite their kingdoms.
They did not surrender their crowns.
Instead, they created something entirely different.
An institution that would stand between the Four Thrones, not above them.
The High Concord.
The Concord was created to maintain peace between the four territories, settle disputes, establish laws that applied across royal borders, and prevent any one throne from using its power to destroy another.
Keep the Four Thrones from going to war.
Over the centuries, the Concord grew stronger.
It developed its own council, laws, investigators, records, and authority over matters involving all four territories.
Generation after generation, the crowns were ruthlessly passed down through blood and iron. Eventually, four new Lycan Kings rose to rule the four distinct territories.
The four royal bloodlines continued.
Four princes.
Four future kings.
Raven.
Zyran.
Blake.
Keiran.
Four bloodlines descended from the ancient brothers who had once torn an empire apart.
They knew the history.
They knew the prophecy.
But they had no reason to believe it concerned them.
Because as far as they knew, the Queen’s blood was nothing more than a forgotten piece of ancient history.
And one forgotten bloodline that everyone believed had disappeared forever.
Until, generations later...
the Queen’s blood returned.
