Chapter 725 - 724: Forming an Alliance

Chapter 725: Chapter 724: Forming an Alliance

The Qing Zhu Association had already secretly infiltrated the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild. If Master Chen didn’t respond with swift and decisive action at this point, it could very well lead to a schism within the Guild.

Looking at the high-ranking members present, Master Chen said coolly, "Everyone, we have now cleaned out the Eastern Domain headquarters, but who can guarantee that the other branches in the Eastern Domain haven’t also been infiltrated by the Qing Zhu Association?"

Hearing Master Chen’s words, no one spoke. If even the headquarters had been infiltrated to this extent, the situation in the branches was likely even worse.

Without waiting for their replies, Master Chen continued, "A great war in the Eastern Domain is about to erupt. It will be difficult for our Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild to remain uninvolved in this turmoil. Therefore, we must join the Flawless Palace’s alliance and fight the Qing Zhu Association together."

Upon hearing this, the high-ranking members of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild all exchanged glances. After a long moment, one of them spoke up.

"Guild President, I’m afraid the Flawless Palace alone will find it difficult to stand against the Qing Zhu Association, won’t they? This decision will affect the future of our Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild. We can’t be too careless."

This member had a point. The Flawless Palace alone was certainly no match for the Qing Zhu Association. Moreover, this was only the strength the Qing Zhu Association had revealed so far; no one in the entire Eastern Domain knew their true power.

Hearing this, Master Chen explained the details of the alliance to them. When they heard that the Celestial Spirit Auction House and the Spiritual Light Pavilion would also be joining, they finally felt a bit more confident.

If that was truly the case, then this alliance might actually be able to face the Qing Zhu Association head-on.

"Guild President, our Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild’s Combat Power is not strong. If we join the Flawless Palace’s alliance, what will be required of us?" another person asked.

"The Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild will not need to participate in combat," Master Chen replied. "We just need to play to our strengths: our influence and a large-scale supply of Healing Elixirs."

The high-ranking members of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild deliberated in the secret chamber for two hours. In the end, they all decided to join the Flawless Palace’s alliance and fight the Qing Zhu Association together.

The situation at the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild had mostly stabilized. All the people planted by the Qing Zhu Association had been eliminated by Master Chen.

Early the next morning, Lin Yun had just woken from his cultivation when he heard that Master Chen had come to visit. He immediately went to the main hall.

When Lin Yun arrived at the main hall, Master Chen was already waiting. Seeing him, Lin Yun smiled and said, "Master Chen, for you to come today, I assume you’ve already made a decision."

Since the matter was already out in the open, Lin Yun asked directly. Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Master Chen smiled faintly and replied, "Indeed. However, Young Master Lin, before we form the alliance, this old man has a favor to ask."

"Master Chen, please speak freely." Lin Yun sat down next to Master Chen and said with a smile.

What Master Chen asked of Lin Yun was actually quite simple. Since the Eastern Domain headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild had been secretly infiltrated by the Qing Zhu Association, Master Chen was absolutely certain that their people were also in the various branches across the Eastern Domain.

What he needed Lin Yun to do was to use the power of the Flawless Palace to go to every branch of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild in the Eastern Domain and eliminate these Qing Zhu Association members.

Hearing this, Lin Yun pondered for a moment. The request wasn’t unreasonable, but there was one difficult point: having Flawless Palace Disciples kill people from the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild. That might be inappropriate.

Seeing the dilemma in Lin Yun’s heart, Master Chen, who had already prepared for this, said, "Young Master Lin, rest assured. I have already reported this matter to the main headquarters of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild in the Central Domain. It is only because the journey from the Central Domain to the Eastern Domain is so long that I have no choice but to ask for the Flawless Palace’s assistance."

The Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild in the Eastern Domain had ten branches in total, and Master Chen simply didn’t have enough manpower. Furthermore, the Combat Power of Alchemists and Artifact Refiners was very low. Sending them out on assassination missions would be a complete waste of their talents.

Since Master Chen had put it that way, Lin Yun no longer demurred, but he did propose his own conditions.

Lin Yun would dispatch Disciples and Elders from the Flawless Palace to the various branches of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild, but Master Chen would also have to select ten members of the Guild to accompany them.

After arriving at each branch, the people dispatched by Master Chen would conduct the investigation, and the Flawless Palace’s Disciples and Elders would absolutely follow their orders.

In other words, the high-ranking members of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild would still be the ones deciding how to conduct the investigation. The Disciples of the Flawless Palace would merely act as the sword that did the killing.

Master Chen considered Lin Yun’s proposal for a moment and quickly agreed that it was an excellent idea. It wouldn’t be difficult to select ten trustworthy people, so he immediately accepted.

After this incident with the Qing Zhu Association, Master Chen knew that the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild could not possibly stay out of the undercurrents now flowing through the Eastern Domain. And between the two powers gradually forming in the Eastern Domain, Master Chen was more willing to trust Lin Yun.

Having settled the matters concerning the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild, Master Chen did not hold back and showed his sincerity in joining the alliance.

With a flash of his Space Ring, over a thousand tightly packed Jade Bottles appeared in the center of the main hall. Looking at Lin Yun, Master Chen said with a smile.

"Young Master Lin, here are ten thousand Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pills. Consider this the first batch of Elixirs our Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild is providing to the alliance."

The Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pill was only an Earth Level Five-Stars Healing Elixir, but a quantity of ten thousand was still immensely valuable.

Looking at the ten thousand Spring Breeze Soft Rain Pills before him, Lin Yun smiled faintly. "You’re too kind, Master Chen."

He did not refuse Master Chen’s gift. After all, these Elixirs were not for him, but for the entire alliance. Once war broke out, a sufficient supply of Healing Elixirs would have a tremendous impact on the overall situation.

With the alliance settled and the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild handled, the only one left was the Spiritual Light Pavilion—or rather, the Spiritual Light Main Pavilion.

Because he needed to return and select ten trustworthy people to go back to the Flawless Palace with Lin Yun, Master Chen did not stay long. After their discussion, he left directly.

The entire alliance had not yet truly formed; they had only reached a preliminary agreement. There was still much to be done before the alliance could take shape.

First was the selection of the Alliance Leader. This would require discussion among all the major powers. After all, the Alliance Leader was the head of the alliance, and it had to be someone who could command everyone’s respect.

After seeing Master Chen off, Lin Yun also needed to hurry back to the Flawless Palace. He calculated the time; he had already been at the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild for several days.

He set the departure for the next morning. As soon as the ten members of the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild selected by Master Chen arrived, Lin Yun and the others would return to the Flawless Palace.
