Chapter 726: Chapter 725: Breakthrough to Tier 5 Demon Beast
The Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild had already expressed its intention to join the alliance. Lin Yun was delighted by this. With the Guild on board, their impact on the entire alliance would be absolutely immense.
That night, Lin Yun told everyone he was preparing to leave the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild. Over the past few days, the cultivation of Lu Bingning and the other two women, as well as Li Tian, had all improved. Li Tian had now reached the Ninth Layer of Primordial Ocean Realm, just one step away from breaking through to the Celestial Spirit Realm.
After speaking with everyone, Lin Yun returned to his room with Little Ape. However, just as they stepped into the courtyard, a rift slowly tore open in the sky above Little Ape’s head. A terrifying Celestial Punishment began to quietly spread out from it.
"Big Bro..." Sensing the Celestial Punishment, Little Ape, who had been lazily perched on Lin Yun’s shoulder, suddenly looked at Lin Yun with a serious expression.
Hearing Little Ape’s words, Lin Yun knew it was about to break through. He gave a small smile and, without delay, flew directly out of the city with Little Ape, away from the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild.
"I’ll go with you," Lin Yun said calmly as they sped along.
The Celestial Punishment grew stronger, and the Monk and Daoist, among others, could feel it. Watching Lin Yun fly toward the distant, deep mountains, both the Monk and Daoist guessed that Little Ape was likely about to break through.
Encountering no obstacles, Lin Yun quickly flew away from the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild with Little Ape. Upon reaching a deserted mountain peak, Lin Yun had Little Ape consume a Top-grade Spirit Essence Pill and some Healing Elixirs.
"Do your best," he said to Little Ape with a smile. Lin Yun then quickly retreated. He couldn’t help Little Ape with Crossing the Celestial Tribulation; it was all up to Little Ape itself.
Hearing Lin Yun’s words, Little Ape nodded. Its entire body swelled to a height of ten meters, its blood-red fur glowing in the dark night like a raging inferno.
Watching Little Ape stand on the mountain peak from a distance, Lin Yun’s gaze was calm. ’Celestial Punishment is something every Martial Artist must experience.’
The rift in the sky slowly widened. Little Ape’s crimson eyes stared intently at it. Suddenly, the cry of a dragon echoed from within the rift.
A dragon formed of Celestial Thunder suddenly charged out with the cry. Seeing the massive Celestial Thunder Dragon rushing toward it, Little Ape roared, beat its fists against its chest, and with a powerful push of its legs, shot toward the dragon like a cannonball.
Atop the mountain in the dead of night, a War Ape radiating a thick bloody aura fought in the sky against a dragon formed of Celestial Thunder.
It grabbed the Celestial Thunder Dragon’s fangs with both hands. Facing a dragon hundreds of meters long, Little Ape’s figure seemed tiny. However, after a brief struggle, it was swatted by the Celestial Thunder Dragon’s tail and sent crashing into the mountain, sending dust and debris flying everywhere.
Little Ape’s furious roars echoed from within the dust cloud. In that instant, Little Ape, originally only ten meters tall, began to grow explosively. It soon reached a height of a hundred meters, like a small mountain.
It was as if two peerless, ferocious beasts were present. The Celestial Thunder Dragon seemed to possess its own consciousness, roaring furiously as it looked at the hundred-meter-tall Little Ape.
Naturally, Little Ape showed no weakness. Its aura was no less powerful than the Celestial Thunder Dragon’s. After a series of roars, Little Ape was the first to attack.
With just a slight push from its legs, the entire mountaintop collapsed beneath its feet. It charged the Celestial Thunder Dragon, its thick arms clamping down on the dragon’s neck.
One hand gripped the Celestial Thunder Dragon’s neck while the other latched onto its jaws. As Little Ape squeezed with increasing force, the Celestial Thunder Dragon struggled relentlessly, its massive tail lashing wildly at the ape.
Bolts of Celestial Thunder rained down, striking Little Ape’s body fiercely. Yet, despite the Celestial Thunder Dragon’s frantic struggles, Little Ape showed no intention of letting go.
Though numerous wounds had already appeared on its body, Little Ape’s eyes grew even more crimson, and its Evil Qi intensified.
A roar that shook the heavens erupted as Little Ape, gripping the Celestial Thunder Dragon, brutally tore its entire head off.
Little Ape had ripped the head clean off the dragon’s body. No blood flowed from the Celestial Thunder Dragon, only countless bolts of Celestial Thunder that scattered in all directions.
Having defeated the Celestial Thunder Dragon, Little Ape stood in the sky, still clutching the massive dragon head, its hundred-meter-tall form roaring continuously.
In this state, Little Ape was like a completely different creature from its usual self. Even Lin Yun had to admit that Little Ape was truly a born beast of ferocity. Once its violent nature erupted, even a being like a Divine Dragon would have to think twice.
The Celestial Thunder Dragon was defeated, and Little Ape crushed its massive head. At that moment, however, the Celestial Thunder within the dragon’s body transformed into streams of Lightning that struck madly at Little Ape.
Facing this Celestial Thunder, Little Ape could only defend itself. Innumerable wounds soon covered its body. If not for the Healing Elixirs Lin Yun had given it, Little Ape’s condition would have been far worse.
After a full quarter of an hour, the raging Celestial Thunder finally began to dissipate. By then, Little Ape had shrunk back to ten meters tall. Its aura was weak, and blood flowed continuously from its many wounds.
At the same time, the Celestial Punishment above Little Ape’s head also started to fade, and the immense heavenly pressure slowly receded.
The Celestial Punishment was over. Lin Yun quickly flew to Little Ape’s side. Seeing Lin Yun approach, Little Ape managed a smile before its body shrank back to the size of a fist. Its eyes closed, and it fell unconscious.
Having been with Lin Yun since it was small, Little Ape believed that as long as Lin Yun was around, nothing was impossible. In Little Ape’s heart, Lin Yun was more important than anyone else.
Lin Yun picked up the unconscious Little Ape and checked its injuries. Although it had severe external wounds, there was no major damage. With its powerful regenerative abilities, it would fully recover after a few days of rest.
Looking at the wreckage all around, Lin Yun gave a helpless, wry smile. For a fleeting moment, he had been under a strange illusion.
It was as if this world had just witnessed a true battle between a War Ape and a Divine Dragon, one where the War Ape’s ferocity made even the Divine Dragon shy away.
Of course, the Celestial Thunder Dragon was certainly not as powerful as a real Divine Dragon. But Little Ape was still just a Tier Five Demon Beast. If it were allowed to continue growing, with its bloodline, a real Divine Dragon might indeed have to shy away from it one day.
With the Celestial Punishment concluded, Lin Yun carried Little Ape back to the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild. When he returned to the courtyard, he found that everyone was gathered there, a look of terror in their eyes.
"Young Master Lin, I think I just saw two ferocious beasts fighting..." Lu Tao said to Lin Yun in astonishment.
Seeing their expressions, Lin Yun figured they must have witnessed the spectacle of Little Ape’s tribulation. After all, a battle between hundred-meter-tall behemoths would have been visible from the Pharmaceutical Instrument Master’s Guild.
