Chapter 716: Disciple
Chapter 716: Chapter 716: Disciple
Celine watched Shu Feng’s back, a flash of resentment in her beautiful eyes. "Super-level Flame Element talent... this world is truly unfair."
Led by Adisio Great Mage, Shu Feng arrived inside a crimson, nine-story Mage Tower.
"Paul, from this day forward, you are my Direct Disciple. This contains the knowledge you must master to train in Flame Magic. Go over it on your own first. If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask Meida."
"Every month, I will also set aside three days to instruct you in your magic. The time can be accumulated."
"You may freely browse the books on the third floor of my Mage Tower. You can also request to use the Flame Element Pool on the fourth floor."
"This is a Flame Emblem! Crush it, and you can contact me instantly. But don’t disturb me unless it’s something particularly important."
"Do you have any other questions?"
Adisio Great Mage said to Shu Feng, sitting opposite him on a sofa.
Master Meida, a tall, handsome man of about thirty, watched Shu Feng with a flash of envy in his eyes.
Master Meida was also a disciple of Adisio Great Mage, but he only received a single day of guidance from the Great Mage every two months. If he wanted to read the books in Adisio Great Mage’s library, he had to pay with Magic Stones. Of course, he only had to pay sixty percent of the usual price for any piece of knowledge.
Mages operated on the principle of equivalent exchange. Within the Seven-Day Tower, aside from basic knowledge, all other forms of magical knowledge had a set price and had to be purchased with Magic Stones.
Adisio Great Mage’s personal library contained a wealth of priceless magical knowledge, and Shu Feng’s ability to browse it freely was an enormous and enviable privilege.
Shu Feng hesitated for a moment before saying, "Master, my Meditation Method!!"
For a Mage, nothing was more important than a powerful Meditation Method. Through constant meditation, they could increase their Spirit and Mana.
Spirit and Mana were the very source of a Mage’s power.
"I’ve already prepared it for you! This is the ’Red Flame Super Meditation Method,’ the Meditation Method passed down through our lineage for generations. You cannot teach it to anyone else."
"Only when you become a Legendary Mage will you have the right to pass the ’Red Flame Super Meditation Method’ on to others!!"
"Now, crush it!"
Adisio Great Mage handed a crimson crystal to Shu Feng with a faint smile.
Witnessing this, a flash of jealousy crossed Master Meida’s eyes.
The Meditation Methods of the Gulondo World were divided into five tiers: Elementary, Intermediate, High-level, Super, and Extraordinary.
The training efficiency differed by more than five-fold between each tier. In other words, one day of training with a Super Meditation Method was equivalent to more than 125 days with an Elementary Meditation Method.
Super Meditation Methods were already considered almost the highest tier, while Extraordinary Meditation Methods were created by Divine-level Powerhouses like the Sun God and the God of War, not belonging to the mortal realm.
The Meditation Method one could train in also depended on their talent. Mages with Lower Magic Talent could only train in Elementary Meditation Methods, and so on up the tiers. As for Super Meditation Methods, only peerless geniuses with Super Magic Talent could train in them.
As for Extraordinary Meditation Methods, only monstrously talented prodigies with Extraordinary Magic Talent, like the Sun God and the God of War, could train in them.
The Sun God and the God of War were two of the great Divine Spirits worshipped by humanity. Before they ignited their Divine Fire to ascend to godhood, they too were top-level Legendary Mages.
The moment Shu Feng crushed the crimson crystal, a torrent of mysterious and profound information surged into his mind.
"If there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way."
Seeing that Shu Feng had absorbed the Inheritance Crystal, Adisio Great Mage gave a slight nod, then turned and left the room. As a Legendary Mage, he was exceptionally busy, with endless experiments to conduct every day.
"Paul, I’m Meida. There are a few small things the Master didn’t get to explain."
Meida explained enthusiastically, "Paul, as the Master’s Direct Disciple, you are entitled to freely read all the books below the third floor of the Seven-Day High Tower Grand Library. You also get one hour of free reading time per day on any floor of the library."
"You also get a ten percent discount when purchasing magical research materials from other masters, and a twenty percent discount on various magic instruction courses."
"You’ll also get a forty percent discount when purchasing any of the Magic Models within the Seven-Day Tower."
"And every month, you will receive one High-level Magic Stone."
In the Gulondo World, there was a magical mineral known as Magic Stones. While meditating, Mages could absorb the power within these stones to enhance their Spirit and Mana.
Magic Stones were divided into four grades: Lower, Middle, High, and Super. The exchange rate between grades was 100:1, meaning one High-level Magic Stone could be exchanged for 10,000 Low-grade Magic Stones.
A single Low-grade Magic Stone sold for as much as 10 Gold Coins on the outside, which meant the resources Shu Feng received from Adisio Great Mage each month were worth over 100,000 Gold Coins.
Such were the benefits of becoming a Legendary Mage’s Direct Disciple!!
Under Meida’s guidance, Shu Feng toured the first four floors of Adisio Great Mage’s Mage Tower.
The first floor of Adisio Great Mage’s Mage Tower was a reception hall; the second, a workshop for crafting Magic Potions, Magic Scrolls, and Magic Secret Treasures; the third, a library; the fourth, the Element Pool; the fifth, a Magic Medicine Garden; the sixth, Adisio Great Mage’s personal residence; and the seventh, his laboratory. The eighth and ninth floors were a mystery; not even Meida knew what was on them.
Meida, who possessed an Upper-Class Magic Talent, was a Demon Master. He was in charge of managing the daily affairs of Adisio Great Mage’s Mage Tower.
Furthermore, after becoming Adisio Great Mage’s Direct Disciple, half of the restricted areas within the Seven-Day Tower were unlocked for Shu Feng, allowing him to travel freely through many new places.
「Inside a luxurious villa.」
’Nice. After becoming Adisio Great Mage’s Direct Disciple, the benefits have improved significantly. My living quarters were even upgraded from a single room to a villa!’
Shu Feng gazed at the spacious and luxurious villa, then at the large swimming pool and the immaculately manicured lawn outside, a look of satisfaction in his eyes.
Within the Seven-Day Tower, the vast majority of students lived in single rooms. Only the tower’s instructors were able to reside in villas.
As for Mage Towers, only Legendary Mages were qualified to live in them.
