Chapter 734: Frenzy Skill
Chapter 734: Chapter 734: Frenzy Skill
"Healing Technique!"
Now that she had power, Marlentina rushed to her younger brother Mina’s side. She pressed her hands onto his wounds, and a faint glow immediately appeared.
Under the power of the Healing Technique, Mina, who had been on the verge of death, gradually began to recover some of his vitality.
"Marlentina, save me!"
"Marlentina, this is the Power of a Priest! Have you become a Priest?"
"..."
Seeing this, the dozen or so other young men and women in the prison gathered around, their eyes flashing with excitement.
Marlentina said, "The great Furious Eagle God has answered my prayers. From this day forward, He is my Lord! The Divine Spirit I will serve for my entire life. If you believe in my Lord and become His followers, I can get us all out of here!"
"If we believe in the great Furious Eagle God, can we gain power?"
A tall young man named Vale asked, a strange light flashing in his eyes.
In the Molun Islands, the strong are respected. Only Divine Spirits who can grant their followers Power become popular. This custom is precisely why many Native Gods and Evil Gods hide throughout the Molun Islands.
Marlentina said, "Yes! If you believe in my Lord, you can obtain the Cultivation Method He grants. The most devout Warriors can become His Priests and Divine Warriors, and receive the Power He bestows."
Vale declared, "I will believe in the great Furious Eagle God and fight for Him!"
The other dozen or so young men and women quickly converted to the Furious Eagle God, chanting the prayer and becoming His believers.
’They’re all just Shallow Believers. The only true Fanatic is Marlentina.’
Through the Divine Statue of the Furious Eagle God, Shu Feng quietly watched the young men and women in the prison.
The reason Shu Feng was spreading the name of the Furious Eagle God rather than the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God was that he wanted to use the power of belief to gradually transform the latter into the former. He had no desire to spend every day inside the Furious Eagle God’s body.
BAM!
The prison door was suddenly thrown open, and three men who reeked of alcohol staggered inside.
"This little piece is filthy and stinks, and she’s got that disgusting tan skin, but she’s not half-bad to look at! I’m taking her first time!"
A big-nosed man with a scar on his face fixed his snake-like gaze on Marlentina and broke into a wide, lecherous grin.
Marlentina immediately curled into a ball, looking as helpless and pitiful as a small fawn.
A brutal gleam flashed in the big-nosed man’s eyes. He licked his lips and strode toward her.
One of the men hesitated for a moment before saying, "Buck, this is important cargo. If the boss finds out you messed with his goods, he’s not going to be happy!"
"What’s to be scared of? Big deal, I’ll give up my cut from this trip. You think the boss is really gonna turn on his own brothers for some worthless slave?!"
His breath reeking of alcohol, Buck took out a key, unlocked the cell door, and strode toward Marlentina.
A cold light flashed in Marlentina’s eyes. She sprang into action, her foot lashing out like lightning, aimed straight for Buck’s groin.
Buck reacted on instinct, swatting her leg aside with the back of his hand and sending her flying, displaying his superior combat skill.
The members of this Slave Capture Corps spent their years fighting the natives of the Molun Islands; practically every one of them possessed terrifying combat strength.
"A little wildcat, hiding her claws! Excellent, this is getting interesting! I’m going to break your limbs, one by one. I bet your screams will be music to my ears! Don’t any of you interfere. I’ll deal with her myself."
A savage look flashed in Buck’s eyes. Like a charging bear, he lunged at Marlentina.
Buck’s two companions stood to the side with mocking smirks, ready to back him up.
"Frenzy Skill!"
Marlentina unleashed the Divine Art, and a hazy light enveloped her. Her eyes instantly turned crimson as an overwhelming battle lust surged within her. With a roar, she lunged at Buck.
CRACK!
Marlentina’s fist slammed viciously into Buck’s, producing a sharp crack.
"AGH, it hurts! Bitch! You damn worthless slut!"
Buck’s right fist was bent at an unnatural angle. He staggered back violently, his face contorting as he shrieked.
THUD!
Marlentina closed in on Buck like a Ghost and slammed a fist into his chest. The terrifying power of the blow sent him flying several meters away. His heart shattered instantly, and he fell to the ground, a corpse.
"That worthless native... she actually killed Buck!"
"How is this possible?"
A look of disbelief flashed in the eyes of the two Slave Capture Corps Warriors.
Buck’s strength was immense; not even five or six highly trained adult native Warriors could have defeated him in an ambush. Yet Marlentina, who was just an ordinary native girl, had managed to kill him. It was simply unbelievable.
Her eyes crimson, Marlentina moved like a cheetah, appearing in front of one of the Slave Capture Corps Warriors in an instant. Her fist shot out like Lightning, slamming into the man’s chest and sending him flying.
"Go to hell!"
The other Slave Capture Corps Warrior let out a furious roar and threw a punch straight at Marlentina.
Marlentina didn’t dodge or evade, taking the warrior’s punch head-on. A searing pain shot through her, but her Power only became more frenzied. She countered with a punch of her own that slammed into the warrior’s chest, caving it in. He collapsed to the ground, a corpse.
Having killed three Slave Capture Corps Warriors in a row, Marlentina stood panting heavily, her eyes crimson. She looked like a terrifying beast, and the other dozen or so young men and women were too frightened to approach.
Vale asked, "Marlentina, are you alright?"
"Stay back! I haven’t regained control. If you get close to me now, I’ll attack you!"
Marlentina said through gritted teeth, gasping for breath and drenched in sweat.
Startled, Vale stood quietly to the side, doing his best to hide his presence.
Buck and the other two Slave Capture Corps Warriors had each been killed by a single punch from Marlentina. There was no way Vale, with his slight build, could withstand one of her full-power punches.
’The Frenzy Skill can drastically improve the user’s physical attributes and combat instincts. However, it’s easy for them to lose their minds and be unable to distinguish friend from foe. This is the best I could do; the other Divine Arts are too chaotic and bloody.’
Shu Feng observed Marlentina’s reaction through the Divine Statue.
Different Divine Spirits could bestow different Divine Arts upon their Priests. The Sun God, for example, could grant his Divine Servants Divine Arts such as the Healing Technique, as well as those related to Flame and Light.
