Chapter 735: Chapter 735: Subjugation

In addition to the Healing Technique and Frenzy Skill, the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God could also bestow bizarre Divine Arts steeped in bloodlust and madness, such as the Bloodthirsty Skill, Madness Skill, and Flesh Stripping.

However, Shu Feng wanted to transform the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God into a rational True God, so he would naturally never bestow such bizarre and insane Divine Arts.

"Let’s go!"

After panting for a few moments, the red light in Marlentina’s eyes faded, and she spoke in a low voice.

The group quickly departed from the prison.

"This way!!"

Through the Divine Statue, Shu Feng cast the Perception Skill, giving him a complete grasp of the entire situation within the Slave Capture Corps. He guided Marlentina and her group, helping them bypass one sentry post after another as they snuck their way out.

"Stop!"

Just as Marlentina’s group reached a large gate, Shu Feng’s voice echoed in her mind. She immediately had everyone halt in their tracks.

"Raise My Divine Statue and walk out!"

Holding the Divine Statue of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God high, Marlentina walked out, step by step.

An owl outside the main gate caught sight of the Divine Statue of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God.

In an instant, the true form of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God was reflected in the owl’s eyes.

In a room within the Slave Capture Corps camp, an Advanced Mage suddenly shuddered. His eyes flickered with fear and madness as he let out a bloodcurdling scream, collapsed to the ground, and began to writhe in agony.

"Ignis, what’s wrong with you?"

The other two Mages asked, a flicker of worry in their eyes.

"Haha, die! All of you, just die!"

With chaos and madness flashing in his eyes, Ignis let out a savage laugh and instantly cast a spell. A razor-sharp Ice Cone immediately pierced through one of the Mage’s bodies.

An Evil God like the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God was terrifying. Anyone without the power of a Demon Master or higher would be plunged into madness and chaos upon seeing its true form. Unless another Divine Spirit intervened, those tainted by its presence would remain forever lost to insanity.

"Ignis, have you gone mad?"

The last remaining Mage roared in anger and retaliated with a spell of his own.

The sounds of intense battle suddenly erupted throughout the entire camp.

Marlentina and her group seized the opportunity to escape the camp.

"Wait here!"

Marlentina hadn’t gotten far from the camp when the voice sounded in her mind again. She led her people to a hiding spot just outside the camp.

’Not bad at all, you mad Advanced Mage, Ignis!’

Through his immensely powerful perception, Shu Feng could clearly sense Ignis on a rampage within the camp.

Although an Advanced Mage was merely a Second Tier Mage, considered only an elite student and seemingly unremarkable within the Seven-Day Tower, things were different here. In the Gulondo World, an Advanced Mage was a major figure capable of dominating an entire region. Within this Slave Capture Corps, he was a terrifying existence at the pinnacle of power.

"It’s time to go back!"

Marlentina said, "Follow me, we’re going back!"

Vale frowned slightly. "Marlentina, there are terrifying Mages hidden in that Slave Capture Corps. If we go back now, won’t we be walking right into a trap?"

Doubt flickered in the eyes of the other dozen or so indigenous youths as well.

These indigenous youths had all witnessed the terror of the Mages. Even the most powerful Warriors of their tribe were helpless before their Magic, killed with ease.

Buck was helpless against those Mages; a single spell would have been enough to kill him.

With a devout expression, Marlentina said, "This is the divine oracle of my Lord!"

"A divine oracle!!"

The moment the indigenous youths heard that term, the expressions on their faces changed, and they questioned her no more.

Marlentina’s group swiftly returned to the camp.

Inside the camp, the ground was littered with corpses left in the wake of magical attacks—a horrifying sight to behold.

"Raise My Divine Statue!"

Startled, Marlentina quickly raised the Divine Statue of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God high.

"Kneel!!"

An incomparably terrifying wave of power erupted from the Divine Statue of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God, spreading out in all directions.

From the shadows, the crazed Ignis strode out. With a THUD, he fell to his knees, trembling uncontrollably, his body wracked with fear.

Divine Grace, as vast as the sea; Divine Might, as inescapable as hell!

Ignis, an Advanced Mage, was completely unable to resist even a sliver of the Divine Might released by the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God.

A magnificent, immense voice echoed in Ignis’s mind.

"Ignis, are you willing to submit to Me, the great Furious Eagle God?"

"I am willing, great Furious Eagle God! Please allow me to serve You, to become Your servant! I offer my everything to You!"

Ignis instantly regained his senses and cried out. Having become an Advanced Mage, he was a smart man; he understood that if he refused, he would become a corpse in the very next moment.

However, Ignis also understood that once he agreed to become a servant of the Furious Eagle God, he would never be able to escape its control for the rest of his life.

"Very good. From this day forward, you are My servant! I command you to obey Marlentina’s orders, build My church, and spread My glory."

A crimson light surged from the Divine Statue of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God and entered Ignis’s mind, branding him and simultaneously pulling him back from the brink of chaos and madness.

Within the churches of Chaos Evil Gods, many powerful Divine Servants were both mad and rational. This was because they, too, had received the mark of an Evil God, which allowed them to resist chaos and madness to a limited degree and maintain a measure of their sanity.

"Yes, My Lord!"

Ignis said with the utmost respect.

The red light shrouding the Divine Statue of the Furious Eagle God quickly faded, and Shu Feng’s consciousness departed along with it.

With an Advanced Mage like Ignis to protect them, Marlentina and the others would be safe from danger. On the contrary, they could use this opportunity to develop and grow stronger.

’I only cast a few Divine Arts and bestowed a little power, and all the Divine Power I just accumulated is gone. Being a Divine Spirit isn’t easy! No wonder they don’t descend to bestow power very often.’

As soon as Shu Feng’s consciousness returned to the body of the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God, he saw that the Divine Power it had accumulated was completely depleted.

Shu Feng’s actions had not only depleted the Chaotic Bloodthirsty Eagle God’s accumulated Divine Power, but had also consumed 100,000 Source Energy, which was converted into Divine Power.

Divine Spirits could perform various miracles to strengthen their believers’ faith. However, performing miracles consumed a massive amount of Divine Power, so unless it was absolutely necessary, few Divine Spirits would do so.

This was also why the major churches rarely used Divine Arts to heal others—because all Divine Arts consumed the Divine Power of their respective Divine Spirit.
