Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld

Chapter 205 - 204: Please Express Your Gratitude With Actions

  • Next Chapter

With a new Beast God ascending, it was time for the previous Beast God to retire.

At a time like this, a retired Beast God could travel freely, but not just anywhere. Only among Guardians with whom they had a good relationship could an outsider occasionally be allowed to enter.

Just like when Elder Yu came to the Beast World, it was only because of their complete trust in each other’s character that he was able to enter.

If the relationship wasn’t strong enough, the other party wouldn’t even bother with you, leaving you to wander aimlessly in your own world.

Although it sounded a bit boring, for the old man, this was an extremely comfortable state of affairs.

The problem was, the Beast World’s current situation was extremely unstable. Even if he wanted to retire and relax, he would have to wait until the Beast World stabilized.

However, retirement was not something Chu Liangyu, the newly ascended Beast God, should be thinking about.

Chu Liangyu looked at the Divine Seal on her brow. She vaguely remembered the old man telling her that every time a new Beast God took over, the mark on the Little World would change to match the new one.

In other words, within the Sumeru Space, the miniature of the Beast World would now bear Chu Liangyu’s Divine Seal.

The thought made Chu Liangyu curious. She was eager to see what the miniature Little World looked like with her Divine Seal on it.

Besides this, the biggest change in Chu Liangyu was her energy.

Originally, she had three types: a small amount of Creation Power, a large amount of ordinary energy, and the Power of Faith.

Now, all the ordinary energy in her body had been converted into Creation Power.

A Beast God could also be called a Guardian, and corresponding to this status, they also received certain benefits.

She had once envied the Beast God for having an endless supply of Creation Power, and now she possessed the same.

As long as the Beast World she guarded existed, she would have an endless supply of the Power of Creation to use. This was one of the benefits of being a Guardian.

But this was limited to the current Guardian. Once retired, they would no longer have the benefits due to a Beast God.

Even so, if their accumulations over the years were sufficient, they could live a carefree life.

After all, their lifespans were long. Unless they themselves no longer wished to live, they still had infinite possibilities.

As for the other benefit, if a Guardian encountered a life-threatening danger, the Heavenly Dao would intervene to protect them when necessary.

But this wasn’t unconditional either. If a Guardian was belligerent and liked to court death, the Heavenly Dao would consider replacing them rather than offering endless protection.

All in all, a Guardian was just a worker, albeit one who was second to one and above all others.

As for the "one" they were second to, that naturally referred to the Heavenly Dao.

In extremely rare cases, the Heavenly Dao and the Guardian could be the same person. If that happened, this individual would undoubtedly stand above all other Guardians.

In that case, there would be no talk of retirement. After all, the Guardian would be the Heavenly Dao, and as long as the Heavenly Dao was indestructible, the Guardian would be immortal.

This also carried a risk. If this person died, the Little World they existed in would collapse and cease to be.

Therefore, under normal circumstances, this situation would not occur in a Little World.

"It seems the benefits of being a Guardian are quite tempting. I guess you could say fortune favored the bold for me."

Chu Liangyu muttered to herself, the smile never leaving her face.

After everything she had been through to get here, her efforts for this moment had not been in vain.

"It was a huge risk, but it paid off. Congratulations. I hope I’m not too late with my well-wishes."

Chu Liangyu looked at the suddenly appearing World Spirit, Lou Sang, not the least bit surprised. Her expression was calm, as if she had sensed his presence long ago.

"How are you not surprised at all? When did you notice me?"

"When I was talking with my Beast Husbands."

Lou Sang hadn’t expected her to notice him so early. He gave an awkward cough and explained, "Well, I saw that you were in a lively conversation with your Beast Husbands. I figured I shouldn’t disturb you, so I didn’t show myself."

Chu Liangyu was far too thick-skinned to feel any embarrassment about him eavesdropping.

She raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing. "What, had enough of the hot springs? You finally decided to grace us with your presence?"

"COUGH, COUGH... I may be a World Spirit, but I’m allowed to have a private life, aren’t I? Soaking in a hot spring isn’t a crime."

Lou Sang casually sat down in the rattan chair next to her. As he leaned back, the chair began to rock gently.

"I heard you’re going to another world to earn Origin Pearls. When are you leaving?"

"I’m surprised your information is so up-to-date." Chu Liangyu glanced at him, then continued, "I’ll go after the banquet is over."

After becoming the Beast God, Chu Liangyu could use spatial tearing to directly create a tunnel to the Void Island.

Not only that, she could now use spatial tearing to travel anywhere in the Beast World.

Lou Sang nodded in understanding. Then, as if remembering something, he added, "Want to know why your Beast Husbands can’t turn back into their human forms?"

"You know?" Chu Liangyu sat up, looking at him with a serious expression.

Lou Sang continued rocking the rattan chair at a steady pace and explained unhurriedly, "It’s because their Divine Souls are damaged. To fix it, you’ll have to find something to nourish their Divine Souls."

"Once their Divine Souls are repaired, they’ll be able to regain their human forms."

’So their Divine Souls are damaged. No wonder I couldn’t find anything wrong.’

’My concern must have clouded my judgment; I can’t believe I forgot to check the state of their Divine Souls.’

"In that case, I have you to thank for the reminder."

Chu Liangyu expressed her thanks. Now that she knew the reason, her whole body relaxed, and she leaned back into the rattan chair again.

"No need for verbal thanks. Show your gratitude with action and just make me a delicious meal. Preferably right now."

"If you want to eat, make it yourself. I don’t have time right now." Chu Liangyu rolled her eyes, not bothering to entertain him.

Lou Sang sighed, got up from the chair, and headed toward the cellar where she stored her food.

"Seriously? You can’t even grant such a small request? If I’d known, I would have waited until after you cooked to tell you."

After her ascension, Chu Liangyu’s body had been remolded, and she no longer needed to eat to maintain her body’s energy requirements.

Food was now optional for her, which was why she couldn’t be bothered to cook for Lou Sang.

She had always found the daily necessity of eating to be a hassle. Now that she was free from that restriction, she was happy to be at ease.

As for Lou Sang, he didn’t need to eat either, yet he always loved to taste these things that carried the flavor of the mortal world.

Chu Liangyu didn’t understand it, but she respected his preference. Seeing him bustling about in the kitchen, she didn’t say anything.

The rocking of the rattan chair was very comfortable. Lying in it, Chu Liangyu unconsciously looked up at the sky.

The sky had already darkened, and points of starlight gradually appeared, beautiful and mysterious.
