Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 207 - 206: She Looks Like She’s Going to Stock Up
"Okay, I got it."
Chu Liangyu couldn’t remember what he was talking about, so she agreed for the time being.
"If you have any Spirit Stones, give me more. Otherwise, even if I go, I won’t be able to get it for you."
"Wait a minute—you owe me, so why do I have to give you Spirit Stones?!"
Lou Sang sounded annoyed, but Chu Liangyu merely stared at him in silence.
Lou Sang relented under her stare and gave her a vast number of Spirit Stones anyway.
He pulled them from a personal dimension he had created, revealing a quantity so vast it formed a small mountain.
Not only that, but most of them were Top Grade Spiritual Stones.
Chu Liangyu touched her wrist, instinctively trying to put the Spirit Stones away.
But she didn’t feel the wooden bracelet she expected. It was only then that she recalled it had been destroyed during the Tribulation Thunder.
"What’s the matter? No place to put them?"
Lou Sang crossed his arms, finding the situation rather amusing. He reminded her, "I remember I kept the storage compartment in that Trading System of yours. Just put them in there."
His words jogged her memory.
The Trading System was bound to her Divine Sense, so she didn’t even need to operate it. With a single thought, the Spirit Stones vanished into the storage compartment.
Before regaining her memories, the Childbirth System had taught her a harsh lesson, so she had never used the system’s storage after getting the Storage Bracelet.
After her memories returned, Chu Liangyu was set in her ways and never thought to use the modified system’s storage space.
It was natural to have all sorts of worries when she was still weak.
But now, the Trading System was merely a tool she could control and destroy at will. She didn’t have to worry about it playing any tricks.
Even if it did, she wasn’t afraid.
Lou Sang said a few more words and then turned to leave.
Everyone in the tribe knew of his existence and he had his own courtyard, but only Chu Liangyu knew who he really was.
’It’s about time I got some proper sleep.’
It wasn’t about physical exhaustion; Chu Liangyu simply wanted to relax the nerves that had been so tense lately.
Of course, a nice hot bath was in order before bed. In high spirits, Chu Liangyu prepared everything.
Once everything was ready, she slipped out of her clothes and slowly sank into the bathtub.
Steam billowed up, and Chu Liangyu’s face was soon coated in moisture. The sticky feeling was a bit unpleasant.
She scooped up a handful of water and splashed it on her face. It felt better once her whole face was wet.
Perhaps because the water was so comfortable, Chu Liangyu’s body gradually relaxed.
The occasional sound of chirping insects reached her ears, but she didn’t find it noisy. She remained focused on her bath, her mind gradually emptying.
’I remember now.’
Chu Liangyu finally remembered what Lou Sang had said about the Vestment robe.
She recalled that it was when she was preparing the promised gifts for the two cubs, Chu Yue and Chu Li. As compensation, she was supposed to help Lou Sang buy a High Tier Magic Robe.
In the end, she hadn’t been able to buy one, only managing to get a Vestment robe with Low Tier effects.
Lou Sang probably felt that the Low Tier one didn’t count as real payment, which was why he said she owed him a High Tier Magic Robe.
’Seriously... He remembers such a trivial thing.’
Chu Liangyu pressed her forehead in exasperation and made a mental note. She had to take care of it, lest that guy cause a scene again if he didn’t get what he wanted.
’Speaking of which, I have quite a few things to get on this trip to the Cultivation World.’
’Find someone to repair the trident, get some Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures to mend my Divine Soul, and that Vestment robe Lou Sang is so fixated on.’
’On top of that, I need to stock up on storage bags and the like.’
Chu Liangyu fell silent at the thought of all this.
’Hmm... This is starting to feel less like I’m going to help and more like I’m going on a shopping spree.’
As for the favor Elder Yu had asked, she still didn’t quite understand it.
Li Jingxuan, the Human Cultivator from the Cultivation World whom she’d met a few times, seemed so strong-willed. How could he have developed a Heart Demon and fallen to the Demon Path?
Chu Liangyu had previously guessed that it was related to the person who looked identical to her, but that was just speculation. She would only know the real reason once she got there.
To ensure his smooth Ascension to the Immortal Realm, it was essential to resolve his Heart Demon, which was precisely the part that gave Chu Liangyu a headache.
’It seems I’ll have to leave right after the feast. If I delay any longer, I’m afraid it’ll be too late.’
She didn’t know how long she had soaked, but the water in the tub had gone completely cold.
Chu Liangyu yawned, climbed out of the tub, slipped on a simple under-robe, and lay down on the bed.
Before long, her eyelids began to feel heavy.
She didn’t fight it, letting sleepiness envelop her as she sank into slumber.
When she next awoke, two days had passed. It was the day of the feast.
For the past few days, Xiong Jiaojiao had been incredibly busy preparing for the feast. Although she was exhausted, she was happy.
To give Chu Liangyu a surprise, she had designed nearly every part of it herself.
Once everything was ready, she went to get Chu Liangyu.
"Sister Liangyu, it’s time to get up. The feast is today."
During that time, Xiong Jiaojiao had sent people to check on Chu Liangyu, just in case she left the tribe without a word.
Upon learning that Chu Liangyu had been sleeping for two days straight, she told the people making preparations nearby to be quieter.
"Alright, I understand."
Chu Liangyu sat up in bed. She felt remarkably clear-headed, not groggy at all like someone who had just woken up.
She pushed open the door and was greeted by Xiong Jiaojiao’s beaming smile.
"Sister Liangyu, it’s about to start! We’re just waiting for you. Let me tell you about the rundown."
Making herself right at home, Xiong Jiaojiao followed her into the room and poured herself a glass of water.
She took a drink of water before continuing, "Maybe because they heard about you, but a lot of other clans have joined us these past few days. They’ll be at the feast, too."
"But don’t worry, Sister Liangyu, I’ve handled everything. Today’s schedule isn’t complicated."
"From your courtyard all the way to the high platform on the training grounds, there will be a path of flowers, like a carpet."
Xiong Jiaojiao’s description was spot-on. After describing the scene, she added, "Then, Sister Liangyu, you’ll need to walk to the high platform in your half-beast form, transform into a Golden Crow, and fly two laps over the tribe. Once that opening ceremony is over, the seven-day feast will begin."
It certainly wasn’t complicated, but there was no way Chu Liangyu could stay in the tribe for seven days.
But leaving would be rude. In that case, she would just have to leave a clone behind.
This time, though, Chu Liangyu planned to make a more refined clone, saving her the trouble of having to worry about things here.
"Oh, right! There will also be a Phoenix helping to scatter flowers. I think you can look forward to that, Sister Liangyu."
"Hm?"
Chu Liangyu rubbed her ear, wondering if she had misheard.
"You actually convinced them to help with such a menial task?"
