Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 218 - 217: Cultivation World: Her Several Beasts
The Flying Boat was incredibly fast, and its interior was also remarkably comfortable.
They flew until nightfall, finally arriving in the territory of the Demon Realm: the Demon Lord’s residence, the Demon Hall.
Chu Liangyu, who had been unconscious, slowly began to stir. Her neck felt sore, and when she reached up to touch it, a dull ache radiated from the spot.
"Don’t worry, My Lord. The young lady was merely over-agitated. Combined with the backlash from her Spiritual Power reversal, it caused her vital energy to surge. It’s nothing serious."
"I understand. You are all dismissed."
Perhaps he heard Chu Liangyu’s sharp intake of breath from the pain, as he turned his head to look at her.
For a moment, their eyes met.
Chu Liangyu froze. Her gaze flickered, and she instinctively lowered her head, unable to meet his eyes.
Li Jingxuan, in contrast, calmly took in her reaction.
"Get some rest. I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving."
Li Jingxuan stood up and headed for the door.
"Master, the child and I..." Chu Liangyu started to say, wanting to stop him, but she thought of something and closed her mouth.
"I’ve already arranged for a handmaiden to be assigned to you. She will take care of you both."
Li Jingxuan paused but didn’t turn around. He said only that before continuing out the door.
Chu Liangyu only let out a huge sigh of relief once Li Jingxuan was completely out of sight.
Fortunately, she had made it through that scare. She had finally succeeded in staying by his side.
’But faking a pregnancy isn’t a long-term solution. It’ll be exposed in five months at most. It’ll be difficult to accomplish anything in that time.’
With a soft sigh, Chu Liangyu pushed herself up and leaned against the headboard.
’Oh well. I’ll just have to take it one step at a time.’
While she was unconscious, this world’s Heavenly Dao had told her that the Jade Spirit Grass was meant specifically to repair Li Jingxuan’s Divine Soul, and that she needed to get it to its rightful owner quickly.
Chu Liangyu wanted to be defiant and say no, but the problem was that if his Divine Soul wasn’t repaired, Li Jingxuan’s cultivation would never be able to advance.
In that case, even if he overcame his Heart Demon, he would never be able to achieve Ascension.
So, Chu Liangyu came up with a compromise: she would give the Jade Spirit Grass to Lou Sang, who would then give it to Xiong Jiaojiao to propagate.
That way, there would be extra herbs, and she wouldn’t have to agonize over the decision anymore.
After she explained her idea to this world’s Heavenly Dao, it agreed.
After all, Chu Liangyu had spent her own Spirit Stones on this herb. There was no way she was just going to give it away for free.
"What do you want?"
Its tone was clearly wary. "We’ve already given you plenty of benefits. Don’t push your luck."
Chu Liangyu chuckled and said reassuringly, "Just two small favors. Nothing that would put you out."
"Well... alright. Let’s hear them."
Chu Liangyu thought for a moment before asking, "Do you have a way to restore sight to someone who has lost their eyes?"
The matter of Chi Yizhong had been weighing on her mind, so this was the first thing she asked.
"’Lost his eyes and wants to see again? You must be dreaming.’"
Chu Liangyu’s expression darkened. "Cut the crap. Just tell me if there’s a way or not."
"’There might be. Let me think.’"
Chu Liangyu waited patiently for its answer. She wasn’t sure how much time had passed, but she was starting to feel drowsy.
Suddenly, an excited cry sounded in her ear. "I remember!"
"I remember there’s a Polar Spring in the Demon Realm. Its waters can bring the dead back to life and grow flesh on bare bones. A simple matter of lost eyes would be incredibly easy to solve with it."
Chu Liangyu’s eyes lit up, and her voice lifted with excitement. "Is that so? Thank you so much."
"Alright, I’ve answered your question. When the time comes, I’ll do my best to help you find it, too."
"Now for your second question. Out with it."
Chu Liangyu raised her wrist, gesturing to the bracelet there. "This weapon is linked to my Divine Soul," she said. "It’s damaged. Is there any way to repair it?"
"That’s it? Simple."
The bracelet flew off her wrist of its own accord. Chu Liangyu watched without trying to stop it, knowing that this world’s Heavenly Dao intended to repair it for her personally.
A thick, heavy layer of mist enveloped the bracelet, obscuring it from view.
However, since her Divine Soul was linked to the trident, Chu Liangyu could feel its slow, steady breathing. She could even sense a faint trace of pleasure from it.
Just a moment later, the mist covering it completely dissipated.
At this, Chu Liangyu reached out her hand. The bracelet landed in her palm, and when she looked at it again, not a single crack remained.
Moreover, it looked completely brand new.
"Since you know how to play along, I gave your weapon a little upgrade."
The two requests Chu Liangyu had made were indeed no big deal. For the Heavenly Dao, they were effortless.
So, it didn’t mind throwing in a little something extra.
Chu Liangyu slipped the bracelet back onto her wrist. With a sincere smile, she said, "Thank you. You’ve been a huge help."
"It’s fine. As long as you complete your mission, this is nothing."
Since this world’s Heavenly Dao had fulfilled its promise, it was time for her to hand the herb over to Lou Sang.
Chu Liangyu raised her hand and tapped in the air, and a transparent transaction panel appeared before her.
She found her only contact, Lou Sang, and tapped his nickname, "Handsome World Spirit," initiating a video call.
"We’re only a few steps apart. You really need to call?"
Lou Sang’s voice sounded lazy. He slowly sat up from the lawn and looked up at Chu Liangyu on the screen.
"The one in the tribe is just a clone. I’m in the Cultivation World right now." Chu Liangyu rolled her eyes at him, speechless that he hadn’t figured it out.
After explaining, she continued, "I found the herb to repair the Divine Soul. Have Jiaojiao propagate more. I’ll come to you for one of the plants later."
"Feed the rest to my Beast Husbands. See if they can regain their human forms. If they can, send me a message."
Before Lou Sang could say another word, a Jade Box appeared in his hand. He smacked his lips and marveled, "I didn’t expect you to be so fast. You found this after only being gone a few days."
"I won’t waste any more of your time. I’ll go give this to her right away."
"Okay."
With the matter settled, Chu Liangyu ended the call.
Finally, Chu Liangyu suddenly remembered the Mystic Sky Silk Robe she had bought at the Treasure Pavilion. It was meant for Lou Sang, so she sent it directly to him.
Meanwhile, Lou Sang had only taken a few steps when something came hurtling down at him from above.
He instinctively dodged to the side. After the object landed, he saw that it was a complete Magic Robe.
The blue-and-white robe had a soft, moonlight-like texture. With a single glance, Lou Sang’s eyes were completely fixed on it.
’She’s really come into her own! To think she’d buy me a top-grade Magic Robe!’
Lou Sang quickly picked up the robe and carefully dusted it off.
Clutching the robe, his pace quickened, a hint of eagerness in his steps.
He headed straight for the herb fields with a clear purpose. As soon as he spotted Xiong Jiaojiao, he immediately went over to her.
He thrust the Jade Box into her hands. "Your chief says to propagate more of these right away," he said. "I’ll be back for one plant later. Give the rest to those beasts of your chief’s to eat."
