Chapter 253: Chapter 252: Reasoning with People? Doesn’t Exist

Sensing her clone had entered the strange mountain ravine, Chu Liangyu wasted no more time. She tore through space and headed for the Southern Barbarian Land.

Her clone would search for the cubs while she stayed behind to clear out the Wandering Beasts here. They would work in parallel so as not to interfere with each other.

According to the information her clone sent her, the Wandering Beasts in the Southern Barbarian Land were rampant. Not only that, but every last one of them was cunning by nature.

No one knew where the females they had abducted were hidden. This left the other tribes wanting to mount a rescue but having no way to do so.

Her clone had also done its best to investigate, but unfortunately, it too had failed to find the captured females’ location.

“Well now, where did this little female come from? She’s quite a looker.”

Chu Liangyu had barely set foot on the ground when the sound of rustling footsteps reached her ears.

“Since you’ve run into us, don’t even think about running. Just come with us.”

Chu Liangyu narrowed her eyes. Her first instinct was to kill the man on the spot, but after a moment’s hesitation, she suppressed the urge.

‘Her clone’s information was right. This really is a gathering place for Wandering Beasts.’

‘Killing him would be easy, but it would only bring a moment of satisfaction. It would be better to play along and see where these Wandering Beasts take their captured females.’

“Y-you, don’t come any closer! My Beast Husband will be here any second! When they get here, you’ll be sorry!”

Chu Liangyu scrambled backward in a panic, but the man wasn’t the least bit afraid. He snapped his fingers, and dozens of Beastmen emerged from the shadows.

“What a shame. Looks like I’m going to miss out.”

“Take her.”

At his command, Chu Liangyu was seized and lifted up. They carried her in unison, heading deep into the mountains.

Chu Liangyu struggled for a bit before losing interest. Feigning exhaustion, she let them carry her docilely.

“Heh. You’re a smart one, aren’t you?”

It was the leader again. He walked up to Chu Liangyu’s side, a hint of satisfaction on his face.

“Seeing as I’m being so smart, can you let me go?”

As she spoke, the rims of her eyes turned red. Glistening teardrops clung to her lashes, threatening to fall at any moment.

He had seen many good-looking females, but few were as stunningly beautiful as she was.

“W-what are you thinking? You’ve been caught. Just behave yourself.”

He averted his gaze, looking a little unnatural, but couldn’t resist glancing back at her, only to see her start to cry.

For some reason, he found himself blurting out, “Stop crying. The most I can do, on account of you being so pretty, is arrange a private room for you.”

Chu Liangyu’s crying paused for a moment, but then she shot back, “I had my own room back in my tribe. I don’t need your pity. A Wandering Beast is a Wandering Beast—all of you are just as filthy.”

“What, we’re all Beastmen. They can sleep with you, but we can’t? Don’t be so ungrateful. Since you don’t appreciate it, you can just be crammed in with the others.”

“It’ll be a good chance for you to see the world, watch how others show their ‘affection’.”

It was just one sentence from Chu Liangyu, but all the man’s tender feelings vanished. He even began to taunt her with cold sarcasm.

“With a face like yours, the brothers will definitely love you. Tsk. When you’re screaming in pleasure, don’t forget to thank me.”

As he spoke, the catcalls from the surrounding crowd grew louder.

Listening to their vile words, the coldness in Chu Liangyu’s eyes intensified. Afraid she might lose control and cut them down right then and there, she chose to remain silent.

The group moved quickly, and before long, they came to a halt.

Chu Liangyu was thrown roughly to the ground. It was only then that she got a clear look at her surroundings.

There were countless houses here. In their midst stood a long, wide building. Even from outside, Chu Liangyu could hear crying, angry curses, and heart-wrenching pleas for help coming from within.

“They’re sure having a good time. While us brothers are out doing all the work, they’re in here enjoying themselves.”

There wasn’t a trace of sympathy on their faces—only anger at having missed out on the ‘fun’.

Two of them pushed the door open together. In the next instant, the scene inside was revealed to all.

Upon seeing the horrific scene inside, Chu Liangyu’s pupils contracted violently. She no longer suppressed her fury and broke free from her restraints.

“Trident.”

At her call, the trident materialized in its true form, hovering by her side. Chu Liangyu reached out and gripped it tightly.

Sensing the inferno of rage in her heart, the entire trident trembled.

“What’s going on? You can’t even handle one female?”

The commotion drew the attention of the group. They turned to look, preparing to rush forward and subdue her together.

“You’re courting death!”

Chu Liangyu’s voice was dripping with ice, and she looked at them as if they were already dead.

She raised her hand. The moment she swung the trident, a monstrous tidal wave appeared out of thin air. Like a greedy beast, it swept up every Wandering Beast present.

This included the Wandering Beasts who were in the middle of their ‘activities’ inside the room. Their fate was the most wretched of all; as watery chains dragged them into the tidal wave, their genitals were severed at the same time.

Soon, blood stained the great wave red. They swam desperately toward the surface, but the moment they broke through, the wave crashed down on them again.

The mouthful of air they had just inhaled was instantly filled with seawater. The sensation of suffocation followed. Feeling their life force drain away, they struggled even more frantically.

“Thunder Spirit, give them something extra.”

At her call, the Thunder Spirit appeared on Chu Liangyu’s shoulder. At the same time, dark clouds began to gather overhead.

BOOM…

A flash of lightning illuminated the area. Before anyone could react, a bolt of Thunder struck the heart of the tidal wave with incredible speed.

One moment they were struggling in the water; the next, a single bolt of Thunder knocked them unconscious. Seawater flooded their nasal passages, and within moments, they stopped moving.

Like dead fish, their bodies slowly floated to the surface. Chu Liangyu gave them a cold glance and dispelled the seawater.

With a loud THUD, their corpses slammed hard onto the ground.

It all happened so suddenly. The females in the room were completely stunned, unable to process what had just occurred.

Chu Liangyu kept her expression neutral, careful not to show any pity. Softening her tone, she said to the people in the room, “Get dressed. I’m taking you home.”

A quick glance revealed about sixty or so females. All of them had vacant eyes, completely devoid of life. The sight was heartbreaking.

Perhaps it was the newfound hope of escape, but life gradually returned to their faces. They did as Chu Liangyu said and began to get dressed.

While dressing, they couldn’t control their emotions and began to cry.

The sound of weeping seemed to be contagious. One person started, and the others followed. It wasn’t the wailing of children, but it somehow filled the air with an oppressive sorrow.

“Thank you for saving us. My name is Yaya. If you can really get us out of here, my tribe will reward you.”
