Done Breeding: Now I Rule the Beastworld
Chapter 264: They Were Really Too Presumptuous
Chapter 264: Chapter 263: They Were Really Too Presumptuous
Chu Liangyu didn’t have to wait long. Footsteps sounded at the door, followed by a voice, “Female Master.”
“Good, you’re here. We should head back to the tribe.”
Feng Qiwu’s eyes lit up. “Female Master, it’s a long way. Let me fly you back.”
“No need. Flying is still too slow. Just follow me.”
It was no problem for Chu Liangyu to tear open space and take two people with her. Now that she had a faster way, she didn’t want to waste any more time.
Neither of them had ever seen such a technique. The curiosity in their eyes was practically overflowing.
“Will we reach the tribe just by walking to the other side?” Yu Tu asked after stepping inside. He found it was pitch-black, with only a sliver of white light at the far end.
“That’s right. We’ll be at the tribe when we reach the end.”
In the time it took to exchange a few words, they had already reached the end of the tunnel. The three of them stepped into the white light, and when they looked around again, they were already in Chu Liangyu’s courtyard.
“You two can go back and rest. I still have things to take care of, so I won’t keep you.”
Besides discussing the matter of unifying the Beast World, Chu Liangyu also needed to create another clone. Just like last time, she planned to use the Golden Rattan Wood from Chi Yizhong’s courtyard as the material for the clone.
So, she now had to make a trip to Chi Yizhong’s courtyard to get the materials.
However, she had only taken a few steps when she heard their footsteps behind her. At first, she thought it was a coincidence and paid it no mind.
But when she stopped, the footsteps stopped too. Resigned, Chu Liangyu had no choice but to turn around. “Why are you two following me?”
The two of them shoved each other, their eyes darting about, not daring to look at her.
“I’m talking to you. Why are you following the Female Master?”
With Feng Qiwu turning the tables on him, Yu Tu was not to be outdone. “Weren’t you following her too? You’ve got some nerve calling me out.”
Seeing the two of them bickering like cubs, Chu Liangyu felt a bit speechless. Shaking her head, she ignored them and continued walking toward Chi Yizhong’s courtyard.
Perhaps taking her silence as permission, the two grew bolder. They followed her brazenly and even started whispering to each other.
‘The Female Master isn’t going to see that little blind guy, is she?’ Feng Qiwu pursed his lips, inwardly displeased. ‘She just got back and she’s already going to see him. Does the Female Master really like him that much?’
He said the last sentence very quietly, but Yu Tu, who was beside him, still overheard it. “You were just bragging to me this morning. See? That backfired, didn’t it? You just can’t compare to Chi Yizhong when it comes to being favored.”
“You’d be a great guy if it weren’t for that mouth of yours.”
“Hah, that sounds more like a description of yourself.” Yu Tu still remembered how Feng Qiwu’s nagging this morning had really gotten under his skin. Now that he had the chance, how could he pass up the opportunity to vent? “Seeing as you hate hearing it so much, I’m going to say it even more.”
“It’s a fact that you can’t compete with Chi Yizhong’s place in the Female Master’s heart. It’s useless to deny it.”
Hearing this, Feng Qiwu rolled his eyes. “Well, I’m still better off than you.”
Yu Tu’s fists clenched tightly, his expression ugly. His thin lips unconsciously pressed into a tight line. Although he was frustrated, he didn’t retort, merely repeating, “You can’t compare to Chi Yizhong.”
“You can’t compare to Chi Yizhong.”
“You can’t compare to Chi Yizhong.”
After hearing him repeat it two or three times, Feng Qiwu grew impatient. “Alright, can’t I just apologize to you? I got a little carried away this morning.”
“Heh heh… A little carried away?” Yu Tu crossed his arms and lifted his chin. “The way you were this morning, you were practically about to take a dump on my head.”
“Then what do you want?”
“Simple. From now on, keep your mouth shut for three days. No talking.”
Feng Qiwu wasn’t a quiet person by nature; how could he possibly not speak for three days? Forget three days, it would be difficult for him to stay silent for even a minute.
“In that case, just keep nagging. I think I can bear it after all.”
Feng Qiwu’s unexpected response threw Yu Tu for a loop. He was stunned for a moment, but there was nothing he could do about him.
Meanwhile, Chu Liangyu had arrived in front of Chi Yizhong’s courtyard. It was surrounded by a fence, and the wood she wanted was inside.
The small gate in the fence creaked as she pushed it open. Chi Yizhong, who was buried under a pile of wood and almost invisible, was startled. He stood up and looked toward the gate.
“Female Master, your timing is perfect. I have something to give you.”
Chi Yizhong’s eyes were full of nothing but Chu Liangyu. As he spoke, he took out some wood carvings from his storage bag that he had been working on for several days. Cradling them in his arms, he was about to show them to her.
“What’s that? Let me see, too.”
Before Chu Liangyu could even react, Feng Qiwu shot forward and, without any sense of decorum, snatched a wood carving from Chi Yizhong’s arms.
“This carving isn’t even that…”
The disparaging words left Feng Qiwu’s mouth before he had even gotten a clear look. But when he held the carving up to his eyes, it was as if he were being strangled, unable to speak.
‘Chi Yizhong looks so honest, how could he carve something so scandalous? It’s… it’s just too shameless!’
“Feng Qiwu!”
Chu Liangyu had a bad feeling the moment Chi Yizhong said he had something for her, but she never expected Feng Qiwu to be so fast.
She completely forgot her reason for coming here and reached out to snatch the wood carving from his hand.
Feng Qiwu, feeling a bit guilty, was startled by her angry and embarrassed shout. His hand, holding the carving, trembled violently, and it fell to the ground.
It tumbled for a short distance, coming to a stop right at Yu Tu’s feet.
Yu Tu, who had entered a step behind, had no idea what was happening. Seeing something roll to his feet, he instinctively bent down and picked it up.
By the time Chu Liangyu tried to grab it, it was already too late.
“What’s this?”
Yu Tu placed the carving in his palm and leaned in for a curious look. But with just one glance, his face turned uncontrollably red.
Not only did his face feel hot, but the palm holding the carving now felt scorching hot as well.
In an instant, Chu Liangyu froze in place, completely at a loss.
‘What is with today? How did I end up in such a socially catastrophic scene!’
‘If I had known this would happen, I absolutely would not have let these two guys tag along.’
‘Really, they’re so presumptuous!’
Just as Chu Liangyu was wondering how to handle the awkward situation, Chi Yizhong walked up to Yu Tu and held out a hand. “Give it to me.”
“Oh, oh, okay.”
Yu Tu hesitantly held out his hand, not quite daring to touch the carving, and let Chi Yizhong take it from his palm.
Chi Yizhong’s expression was calm, showing no signs of embarrassment. He walked over to Chu Liangyu, holding the pile of indescribable carvings.
“These are what I’ve carved for you over the past few days. You can put them in your storage bag.”
“When I have time, I’ll carve you some other things.”
