Don't Be a Tease, Mr. Blackwood
Chapter 269: One-Stop Service
Chapter 269: Chapter 269: One-Stop Service
"You like the name Princess? Alright, Princess it is."
As soon as Sophie Shaw finished, Alaric Blackwood ruined the mood. "Isn’t it a male?"
She shot him a glare. "What do you mean, male? She’s a little princess."
"Alright, alright. Male or female, whatever. Stop holding the cat and hold me."
Alaric Blackwood started whining playfully, scooping the cat out of her arms and tossing it aside.
Princess started wandering around the room on her own.
Alaric took the opportunity to sit on the sofa and snuggle into Sophie Shaw’s arms. "Honey, you can’t just stop doting on me now that you have a cat."
"Of course not."
Sophie Shaw ruffled his hair. It was soft and fluffy, like she was petting a big dog.
"Mr. Blackwood, I want to get some cat litter, and also put out some food and water for the cat."
He looked up at Sophie, planting a kiss on her lips. "I’ll do it."
Under Sophie’s watchful eye, he diligently poured the cat litter, washed the cat’s bowls, filled them with food and water, and then returned to her side.
He knelt on one knee in front of the sofa, resting his handsome face on her lap. He hooked his fingers with hers, occasionally guiding her hand to his head, and she would cooperatively ruffle his hair.
"You’re getting more and more clingy, Mr. Blackwood."
Lawson wasn’t home, and the takeout Alaric Blackwood had ordered on their way back hadn’t arrived yet. If she wasn’t waiting for dinner, she would’ve already hidden upstairs.
Alaric Blackwood looked up at her, a wounded expression on his face. "Is honey annoyed with me?"
"I’m not annoyed."
"I want kisses."
"..." ’Okay, maybe I am a little annoyed.’
But what could she do? He was her husband, so she was the one who had to spoil him.
She hooked Alaric Blackwood’s chin, tilting his face up, and leaned in to kiss him.
After a long, deep kiss, the man eagerly swept her into his arms. Just as he was about to head upstairs, the doorbell rang.
"..."
’So annoying!’
It was the takeout Alaric Blackwood himself had ordered, and now that it was here, he was annoyed.
He set Sophie Shaw back down on the sofa and strode out with his long legs to grab the delivery.
Sophie was getting hungry and went to meet him. Just as she was about to take the food, the man casually placed it on the dining table and wrapped an arm around her waist.
"No rush."
"?"
"Let me eat first."
As he spoke, he swept Sophie Shaw up in a princess carry, ready to whisk her away.
SMACK—
A slap landed on his face.
It wasn’t a hard slap, but getting hit by his wife made him feel both thrilled and a little wronged.
"I’m hungry. I want to eat first."
Alaric Blackwood, sporting a handprint on his face, hooked a chair with his foot and set Sophie Shaw down on it. "Fine. You eat first. I’m the man, so I’ll let you have your way."
Once she’d eaten her fill, he started cleaning up the takeout containers while Sophie Shaw ran off to play with the cat, completely ignoring him.
He took out the trash, and when he came back, he followed her around like a little shadow. Half-amused and half-exasperated, Sophie sat on the sofa with the cat in her arms and looked at Alaric Blackwood helplessly. "Did I not feed you enough last night?"
"Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today."
"Fine." The reasoning was sound.
Sophie Shaw put the cat down and tossed out a fluffy ball. Princess ran after it, having the time of her life.
She crooked a finger at Alaric Blackwood. "Carry me."
The man bent down, lifted her into his arms, and went straight upstairs into the bathroom.
...
「8:00 PM.」
「Mansion No. 9.」
Anne opened the door and entered. She changed into slippers in the entryway, took out a pair of men’s slippers from the cabinet, and said to Evan Ford, who followed her in, "These are my brother’s. Make do with them."
Evan Ford glanced at the slippers on the floor. They looked like the right size, but he was a bit disgusted by the idea.
"I’m not wearing them."
Anne was about to say ’suit yourself’ when she saw the man slip off his shoes. He had on a pair of black socks and just walked into the house like that.
He placed the takeout on the dining table and turned to Anne. "Should we eat first, or..."
"I’m not very hungry right now."
Evan Ford nodded. "I’m not that hungry either."
"Then shall we..."
She trailed off, pointing toward her room. The hint couldn’t have been more obvious.
A faint smile touched Evan Ford’s lips. He took two steps toward her, and just as he was about to pick her up, she suddenly grabbed his tie.
He froze for a second before Anne started tugging him toward the room by his tie.
"Are you leading me like a dog?"
Anne stopped and looked back. "You don’t like it?"
Evan Ford pulled his tie back, loosening it. "It’s a little tight."
"Should I carry you to bed over my shoulder, then?"
Evan Ford’s eyes widened. "What?"
’Did this girl even hear what she was saying?’
He was six-foot-two, and she was only five-three...
While he was still in shock, Anne had already bent down, wrapped her arms around the backs of his knees, and with a grunt of effort—like yanking a radish from the ground—she actually managed to hoist him over her shoulder.
The moment his feet left the ground, he instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist. ’Holy shit!’ he thought.
Aside from that one time in college when he got drunk and was carried home by Alaric Blackwood, no one had ever carried him like this.
Especially not a slip of a girl like her.
His arms and legs were so long that as Anne carried him, he felt like his toes could touch the floor.
The girl grunted and puffed as she carried him into the room and unceremoniously dumped him onto the bed.
He landed on the bed, his face flushed red.
Before he could get up, Anne pounced on him.
She grabbed his shoulders, flipped him over, and gave his butt two sharp smacks. SLAP! SLAP!
He clutched the bedsheets, his mind going blank.
"Feels nice."
Evan Ford: "..."
Anne giggled, flipped him over again, stripped off his overcoat and suit jacket, then untied his tie and used it to bind his wrists together.
She had an innocent face, but her actions were like a hungry wolf pouncing on its prey.
Throughout the entire process, she was on top, and he was on the bottom.
...
「Two hours later.」
Anne was exhausted, lying limp in his arms.
"Mr. Ford."
"Hmm?"
"Let’s take a little halftime break."
"..."
After carrying on until midnight, Evan Ford finally seized the upper hand.
He rolled over, pinning Anne beneath him and kissing her.
The takeout from the restaurant sat untouched on the dining table. The two of them went at it on and off all night, right until the sky began to lighten.
Anne was so sleepy she could barely function. Evan Ford carried her from the bed to the bathroom for a shower. Afterward, he wrapped her in a bath towel, gently carried her back to bed, and she fell into a deep sleep the moment her head hit the pillow.
After a wild night, Anne completely missed work. The moment her alarm went off, she dazedly called Sophie Shaw and asked for a day off.
Sophie Shaw approved it.
When she woke up again, it was already evening.
The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was Evan Ford, propping his head up with one hand, his expression serene.
The man was bare-chested, his muscles well-defined, with only a bath towel wrapped around his waist. His gaze on her was unusually scorching.
"You’re awake?"
Her face immediately flushed. "I’m awake, I’m awake."
She patted her own cheeks. "Was Mr. Ford satisfied with my performance?"
"The service wasn’t exactly thorough."
"?"
"You made it swell up. You have to take responsibility and help me apply the ointment. It’s a full-service package, get it?"
"..."
While she was sleeping, Evan Ford had already rummaged through the medicine cabinet and found some ointment for bruises and swelling.
The man tossed the ointment in front of her. "Now, help me."
