Chapter 1205: Leaving Celestial Dragon Planet

  • Next Chapter

According to Lan Xuanyu’s plan, after this return, apart from their squad, the rest of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings would stay at the academy to cultivate for three months, then head back to the Seventh Fleet, and afterward pick them up and bring them back to Celestial Dragon Planet. He, Xiuxiu, and the other five members of the squad, however, needed to return as soon as possible. After a brief stay at the academy, they would head back—to protect their hard-won identities.

Of course, on this trip back, they would bring all the plant-type soul beasts over 100,000 years old with them, letting them come to this side to absorb life energy.

If this operation had to be described in the most intuitive way, it could be called the leech operation. Drawing out Celestial Dragon Planet’s life energy to replenish Douluo Planet, giving the Eternal Tree an effective supplement of life energy and thereby raising its life level. Although they hadn’t truly succeeded yet, judging from the entire absorption process before, there shouldn’t be any problem.

A faint smile surfaced on his face as Lan Xuanyu revealed a trace of divine light. “We’re going home.”

The Ring of Fate opened, and one plant-type bigshot after another, along with the other members of the Thirty-Three Sky Wings, threw themselves into it. In the end, only the seven of them remained. Lan Xuanyu simply had his companions enter the Ring of Fate as well, leaving only himself. This way, the target was smallest and easiest to conceal.

He rose into the air, and under the Treasure Seeking Beast’s illusion, his body vanished. The Sky Wing mecha, unused for a long time, reemerged and transformed into a Sky Wing Fighter, accelerating fully as it flew toward outer space.

As the fighter flew through the air, Lan Xuanyu couldn’t help but look down at the beautiful, bountiful planet below, and for a moment his heart was filled with mixed feelings.

Looking at it not from a hostile standpoint, one had to admit this planet was simply too beautiful, too rich. The dense life energy here was unmatched by any planet he had ever seen. After staying for a few months—from when he’d just returned and had just broken through to the six-ring level with an unstable foundation, to now, having reached the six-ring peak and needing to suppress his cultivation to avoid breaking through—it had taken only a few short months.

In the past, this was something Lan Xuanyu wouldn’t even dare to imagine. From when he first started cultivating as a child until now, he had never experienced such a rapid cultivation speed as he had before him. Before, he had always been the slowest cultivator among everyone; the soul power he painstakingly accumulated would always be partly absorbed by his bloodlines.

Now it seemed that back then, his bloodlines had already been quite polite and hadn’t absorbed with full force. Otherwise, he would never have been able to become a true Soul Master.

And now, he was gradually able to control his bloodlines. As the two bloodlines merged with each other, the conflicts that had once appeared were becoming fewer and fewer. At least during normal cultivation, the Golden Dragon King bloodline and the Silver Dragon King bloodline almost never clashed. This was directly related to Dragon Force Tempering. Especially after absorbing the dragon bloodline energy on the Rising Dragon Platform, this change became particularly obvious.

Of course, the conflict between the two bloodlines hadn’t disappeared—Lan Xuanyu was very clear on this point. When he broke through to the seven-ring level, there would probably be one final collision. Only once he resolved that collision could he be considered to truly possess the dragon clan bloodline.

Wanting that was naturally no easy matter. So he still needed more accumulation. But at least here, on Celestial Dragon Planet, he had been given such an opportunity.

If he had been on Douluo Planet, who knew how many years of cultivation it would take to build up such a foundation.

He even wondered whether he should break through to the seven-ring level after returning this time. That way, with Uncle Le protecting him, it would be much safer. But if he broke through at Shrek Academy, the breakthrough might not be thorough, and there would be almost no chance of reaching god rank. With his Dragon God bloodline, just how enormous the energy needed to break through to godhood would be—even Lan Xuanyu didn’t know.

Perhaps even the Eternal Tree would become weak from his absorption. Moreover, such a breakthrough would likely be incomplete, unable to break through to god rank in one go. The Treasure Seeking Beast was right—the Rising Dragon Platform was the most suitable place for his breakthrough. If he could break through on the Rising Dragon Platform, that would mean he could very likely become a god in a single step.

And after experiencing the Rising Dragon Competition and gradually growing familiar with the Rising Dragon Platform, Lan Xuanyu was now increasingly certain of this. If he weren’t wary of the Dragon Knights noticing, he truly would have wanted to stay on the Rising Dragon Platform and cultivate the whole time. He was now already capable of absorbing energy from the Rising Dragon Platform. And the absorption rate wasn’t slow, and he no longer needed blood to guide it.

In the future, once he became a god, he would surely be able to use even more of the Rising Dragon Platform’s energy. He had seen with his own eyes just how vast the Dragon God energy contained within that enormous Rising Dragon Platform was. That was absolutely an existence even more vast than any Dragon God energy that might exist in the Divine Realm. That was what he truly wanted to obtain.

But he couldn’t rush. He absolutely had to find the best opportunity before proceeding.

As he pondered, the Sky Wing Fighter had already reached the atmosphere. Under the Treasure Seeking Beast’s concealment, it rushed out of the atmosphere at top speed. The fighter performed a nimble turn in the air, blinding all detection and defenses, and drilled into the vastness of space.

Although he had felt some reluctance upon leaving, when Lan Xuanyu truly returned to space, he felt very much like a fish leaping in the sea or a bird soaring in the sky. Finally, he no longer had to stay vigilant at all times, constantly on guard against his identity being discovered.

Relying on memory and special contact signals, he quickly found the Thirty-Three Sky Wings Warship. Entering the warship, he didn’t first release his companions. Instead, under the Treasure Seeking Beast’s concealment, he silently activated the warship. With its tail flames spitting, the warship sped toward the Seventh Fleet’s direction at high speed.

Only after setting the warship to cruise mode did Lan Xuanyu release his companions. Of course, the plant-type bigshots still had to remain inside the Ring of Fate. The warship’s internal space was limited.

“Time to go home!” Yuanen Huihui cheered, crying out jubilantly, and immediately the entire Thirty-Three Sky Wings Warship turned into a sea of cheers.

Elder Shu laughed. “Not just going home—you should consider this a glorious return. After you go back this time, I’m afraid the academy will be shocked by you all.”

Lan Xuanyu smiled. “Elder Shu, shall we talk privately?”

Elder Shu nodded. “Alright.” He knew what Lan Xuanyu wanted to discuss. The gains from Celestial Dragon Planet this time were simply too enormous. And of these gains, which should be handed over to the Federation and which brought back to Shrek Academy still needed some discussion.

Lan Xuanyu’s identity was special now, while Elder Shu was truly the vice pavilion master of Shrek Academy’s Sea God Pavilion, the helmsman of the School of Life. Consulting with Elder Shu was also to avoid unnecessary trouble after returning to the academy.

With Ding Zhuohan responsible for piloting the warship back to the Seventh Fleet at top speed, Lan Xuanyu and Elder Shu went to the lounge to discuss this problem they were about to face.

“Elder Shu, our accumulated gains this time are extremely plentiful. They mainly concentrate in two parts. One is the collection of data on Celestial Dragon Planet and the Dragon Horse galaxy. These things can’t improve combat power, but I think they’ll be of great help for us understanding the Dragon Horse galaxy. The other is various resources, including all kinds of good things like the Heavenly and Earthly Treasures you found, as well as the various mineral resources we collected.”

Fenglong City was famous for producing mineral resources. Lan Xuanyu and the others, using Liang Pu as a trader, had established their own trading firm. For safety’s sake, Lan Xuanyu hadn’t given Liang Pu any specialties of the Douluo Federation. The benefits Celestial Dragon Planet could bring them were simply too many; there was no need at all to risk obtaining profit through such means.
