Dungeon Miner Slave
DMS Chapter 135
“Should we learn the language of this kingdom?” The man called Andrew asked Flinx.
“I don’t know too much about the spells wielded by other classes, but if you’re a wizard, you do have access to the Tongue and Comprehend Languages spells. Spell duration wouldn’t bother us, Earthlings, too much, since we can cast the said spells as many times as we want. Our spells' cooldowns are really short. I would still recommend that if you’re willing to spend the time, just learn the local language.”
Some of the twenty Earthlings agreed with Flinx’s suggestion, but some just said that they would just keep casting the Tongue spell. It didn't really matter to Flinx whatever they chose.
Even though it was very late, no one seemed to want to sleep. Flinx understood. When he first arrived in this world, he was deathly afraid that his freedom was just a dream. More than likely, his fellow Earthlings were the same. They were all extremely afraid of waking up from this wonderful dream called freedom. Even though Flinx was a little tired, he stayed with them and continued talking about different things.
“I’m still a little confused as to why you’re able to reach level seven despite being a miner for less than three years. Even Mark, who had been a miner for eight years, only reached level four,” Edward, another fellow Earthling, said.
Since Flinx didn’t know the answer to that, he just shrugged. Their most popular theory was that it had something to do with the gate that Flinx had used to escape the mines. Unfortunately, that gate was probably confiscated by the religious fanatics who attacked the Torbal Slavers.
“We can only speculate for now. Once we start dungeon delving and experience earning experience points personally, depending on how much we would earn, it would confirm some of our speculations,” Mark said.
“Honestly, I don’t want to dive into dungeons so soon. We’ve been delving for years. I need a vacation,” one who called himself Ruiz said.
“I was like that. When I arrived here, I avoided dungeons and just killed monsters in the forest. The forest outside the town where I was staying was filled with monsters, so it wasn’t a problem for me to level up a little. The main issue in killing monsters outside of the dungeons was that, according to what I’ve learned, monsters in the field are real live beings, wherein monster inside the dungeon were mana constructs. Because of that, they behaved like normal beasts, meaning they had their territories, and other monsters wouldn't barge into other monster territories. That meant that if your goal was to kill monsters to level up, you would have to spend a large amount of time exploring the place where you’re hunting, since the monsters are living far apart from each other. Eventually, the pressure of needing to level up so I can start my goal of rescuing you guys brought me to go here in Ilioven, where there are a bunch of high-level dungeons.”
“We still haven’t thanked you for rescuing us, Flinx. I know that you’re blaming yourself for not saving more of us, but please don’t. All of us are victims, and the only ones who need to be blamed are those monsters called Torbal Wizards. Right now, all of us are mentally unbalanced, and we need psychiatric healing fast. Do any of you have training on something like that?” Mark asked.
Unfortunately, everyone said that none of them were Psychiatrist. One of them was a medical doctor, but Paul didn’t know anything about mental therapy.
The best advice Paul could give was for each one of them to conduct an online psychiatric meeting with a qualified psychiatrist. Thankfully, since Paul was a medical doctor, he had access to resources that would allow them to search for a qualified Psychiatrists that could help them.
One of the great surprises that some of his fellow Earthlings had was that the three of them were able to maintain their considerable finances on Earth using their access to the internet. Their excuse was that they were traveling outside the country and couldn’t return home.
Those who still had money would assist everyone in hiring a psychiatrist for their mental healing.
The biggest issue that everyone had was that they didn’t have a way to video call using their access to the internet, but a voice call was possible. Everyone agreed that that would have to work since they all felt it was necessary. Each one of them was severely mentally unbalanced. Even Flinx, who hadn’t been a slave for months, told them that he still felt mentally unwell, and the only reason he kept himself sane was the fact that he managed to acquire a family in the form of the four orphans, a destitute noblewoman, and her two brothers.
After that, they turned their attention to some necessary things they needed to complete. The first one was registering their presence in the government of Ilioven. Flinx told them that once morning arrived, they would all need to go to the government offices to register. He also recommended that everyone register as adventurers so that the moment they all decided to delve into the dungeon, they would be able to do so without any issues.
“This would have been a grand adventure, being isekaid to another world and working as adventurers,” the man named Arnold sighed.
The next issue they had to work on was the place where everyone would stay. Flinx recommends that they purchase the land next to where his current tower was located. Then they would clear out the mansion there, and everyone could construct a Galder’s Tower that they could design.
Flinx showed them, using his Android tablet, the design of Galder’s Tower. Since everyone was knowledgeable about the spell during their downtime in mining mana stones, each one of them researched on the internet the spells that they could purchase if their transmigration system wasn’t locked.
Now that their system was free, and all of them had saved enough low-level mana stones, Flinx knew that all of them had already purchased all of the spells available to them.
Another flurry of activities occurred, and soon, each of his fellow Earthlings was holding tablets and started designing the Galder’s Tower they wanted to have.
Based on what Flinx had seen, there were now five groups of men consisting of four members each that planned to live in their own Galder’s Tower. If Flinx’s neighbor agreed to sell the land beside him, it was big enough for five Galder’s Towers.
At around three in the morning, they all got hungry again, so each one of them bought food from the system shopping site. Flinx just shook his head at his fellow Earthling's spendthrift behavior, but he couldn’t fault them. Everyone had been restricted for years, and now that they were free, they were using the mana stones they had saved over the years to splurge. Besides, it was easy enough to earn mana stones from dungeons.
Flinx joined one of the groups of five men. It wasn’t surprising that the Earthlings mostly grouped themselves by age, so the group that Flinx joined mostly had the same age as him. It was just both extremely sad and amusing to him that their groups were a sausage party. None of the women had survived.
Flinx shared with them all the things he did after he arrived in Ilioven. He told them about the business he opened that was selling scented soap, scented candles, and loofah mesh. The men asked him why he chose those items, and he admitted that he didn’t want to bother creating a business that was more complex since his main focus was leveling up his class.
