Dungeon Miner Slave

DMS Chapter 136

Flinx talked with his fellow Earthlings for hours, and none of them noticed the passing of time. They discussed everything they wanted to discuss, so soon, they knew all the things Flinx knew about Ilioven.

A few of his fellow Earthlings became excited about opening shops using their access to the System Shopping Site to earn tons of coins. Flinx knew that his fellow Earthlings weren’t after coins but the experience of playing some kind of merchant game simulator, but in real life. They all knew that if they wanted wealth, delving into dungeons was the best thing they could do, since not only would it earn them mana stones, it would also earn them the experience points to level up their classes.

Some of his fellow Earthlings asked about the elementals he conjured, so he introduced them to Pondy and the three Rockies, which they had already seen the day before. He told them that the elementals he summoned were powerful since he used the eleventh-level spell slot to cast the fifth-level Conjure Elemental and bound them using the fifth-level Planar Binding, but he still used the eleventh-level spell slot, which increased the duration of the summons to two years.

Flinx had shared with his fellow Earthlings that his elementals were so powerful that they alone could conquer the last floor of the Dungeon of Mara, which was a gold-level dungeon.

He then told them the levels of the dungeon, his Diamond Rank adventurer status, and how he earned the rank.

“What rank do you think we can reach?” One of his fellow Earthlings asked Flinx.

“I was level seven when I reached the Diamond Rank, but the battle to rank up against that Diamond Rank shield warrior was intense. I don’t think that anything below level seven could battle it out with a diamond rank adventurer, so I’m thinking that the highest rank any of you could attain was gold,” Flinx told everyone.

“Since you’re level eleven on your Wizard Class and level four on your Cleric class, can you request a rank up?” Mark asked.

“Probably, but I think I wouldn’t do something like that for now, since it seemed to me that the only thing it would do was to focus a lot of attention on me, and for now, I want to stay low-key. My goal is still to level up as fast as I can so I will have the power that I will never be afraid of anyone capturing me ever again,” Flinx admitted softly.

He knew that his fellow Earthlings, who had been dungeon miner slaves, understood his desire not to be enslaved ever again, and they all knew the only thing that would prevent something that dreadful from occurring again was power.

Soon, everyone saw that Flinx’s adopted family arrived from the tower’s upper floors. Flinx quickly introduced everyone to each other.

“Are they all wizards, Flinx?” David asked, and to not complicate things, Flinx simply said yes.

Besides, all of the Earthlings had access to the System Shopping site, which would appear as some form of Conjuration spells to outsiders.

“It’s time for breakfast!” One of Flinx’s fellow Earthlings said, and a flurry of activities occurred.

Soon, delectable dishes from different food franchises from Earth appeared. Flinx just sighed and bought food for himself, the four kids, Olivia, and her two brothers. Everyone ate breakfast, but since the tower’s first floor was too small to accommodate everyone comfortably, they all ate where they sat, which was on the floor, while Olivia, Christopher, Ambrose, and the four children sat around the dining table.

Flinx’s adopted family had wide eyes while looking at all the people Flinx had claimed as his countrymen. He couldn’t fault them since the night before, even though every Earthling was clean simply because of the Prestidigitation spell, they were all wearing the miner clothes that the wizard enslavers had given everyone. Now, all of them were wearing clothes they bought from the System Shopping Site. Olivia and the others had also seen Flinx’s “Countrymen” conjuring food out of thin air, like how Flinx conjured things.

Olivia was sensitive enough that after breakfast, she urged her two brothers and the four kids to hurry up so they could leave for the shop. She wanted to give Flinx and his “Countrymen” their privacy.

After a few more minutes of talking, Flinx and the twenty men from Earth went to the Ilioven government offices so they could all register for temporary permits, which would give them the right to stay in Ilioven for six months. With the temporary permit, they didn’t have to pay the guards whenever they went in and out of the city.

Before they left the house, Flinx retrieved all the gold coins he stored in the chest in his bedroom, so he would have the funds to pay for everyone’s permit.

Flinx wasn’t worried about funds since his gold coins were more or less 17k. He also had plenty of mana stones of all ranks. His high-level mana stones alone were around 800 plus, which was considerable wealth. His medium-level mana stones numbered around 3,400, so that was a huge number as well.

That was the main reason why his fellow Earthlings were comfortable in spending the low-level mana stones they had amassed over the years. The fact that it seemed easy to earn mana stones made them all behave like they had the coins to burn.

Flinx didn’t fault them and, as a matter of fact, was willing to donate his mana stones to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves.

While they were walking, aside from Flinx, everyone behaved like those obnoxious tourists one would see on the internet. They curiously went to different shops and checked all the products the shops offered, but none of them bought anything, simply because their System Shopping site would have an alternative that had better quality. They also bought different street food that they passed by, which caused a bit of trouble since some of them tried to pay using mana stone.

Flinx simply apologized to the stall owners and paid for the purchases with his coins. He then explained to everyone the currency that Ilioven had, which was extremely simple since it was just iron, copper, gold, and rose gold. There was probably a higher form of currency, but Flinx didn’t know about it. He then explained to them the value of mana stones, which was simple as well, since one low-level mana stone was equivalent to 100 gold coins, and one medium mana stone was equivalent to 100 low-level mana stones, and so on. He did advise them that the mana stone’s value wasn’t so simple, since even though there was a stated equivalent in gold coins, the people of Ilioven still valued mana stones more.

He told them that that was one of the main reasons why he started a shop with Olivia. He wanted a source of gold coins that he could let his adopted family spend. The discussion shifted to the shops they would open once they had the time to do so. Flinx still felt that some of his fellow Earthlings were treating opening a shop like some form of business simulation game.

Still, he liked the fact that his fellow Earthlings were starting to relax. He knew, though, that a few of them had a strong need to delve into dungeons so they could level up as soon as possible. They were hoping to get back to Earth as fast as they could because they still had families waiting for them, unlike Flinx.
