Elden Ring: Starting as Melina’s Sister

Ch. 62 He crushed a stone wall.

The Pumpkin Head Soldier rolled a few times amidst the rubble and struggled to stand up.

“Roar!!!”

He had never possessed any shred of sanity, let alone now. In a towering rage, he swung his flail, launching a frenzied assault against imaginary enemies.

Naturally, no one was injured by this, but the ruins suffered for it.

In Mia’s past life, there was a specific term on the internet to describe what was happening in the ruins right now: ‘Tornado destroys parking lot!’

The Pumpkin Head Soldier’s flail smashed walls and shattered floor tiles. When he swung his flail at a dilapidated two-story building, the stone-stacked walls were like foam, easily pulverized into a large chunk.

The giant Miranda Flower also gave up on pursuing Mia and the others, because to it, this frenzied Pumpkin Head Soldier was a greater threat.

The Pumpkin Head Soldier had only destroyed a few walls before he encountered the young Miranda Flower plants. The poisonous mist they released only invited even crazier attacks from the Pumpkin Head Soldier.

The Pumpkin Head Soldier could trample a Miranda Flower about as tall as Mia into pulp with a single step, and his flail, clearly a blunt weapon, could slice everything in its path in two.

Rain of Light descended one after another above the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s head.

Wearing a massive pumpkin helmet, the Pumpkin Head Soldier, with his vision cast in darkness, naturally could not discern the obvious white light that appeared on the ground when the giant Miranda Flower unleashed Rain of Light.

But such attacks were clearly ineffective against the Pumpkin Head Soldier.

Most of the light was blocked by the massive helmet, and even if a small portion of the light managed to injure the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s unprotected body, the damage caused remained very limited.

With that guy currently demolishing everything everywhere, the giant Miranda Flower’s Rain of Light was barely better than nothing.

No matter what, the Pumpkin Head Soldier couldn’t get any more enraged. From the moment Patches broke in until now, he had been provoked to his limit.

Mia followed closely behind Wilden; Wilden’s ability to find his way was far better than hers.

Having walked it only once, he managed to find the entrance they had come through in the labyrinth-like open-air corridors and alleys.

“I’m glad you’re okay!” Curry said with pleasant surprise as soon as he saw them.

Wilden put down Patches, and Mia also ran out, with three Spirit Wolves following closely behind her.

The Pumpkin Head Soldier did not follow them out.

Wilden and Mia took the path they had come by, the path still burning with fire. The Pumpkin Head Soldier did not force his way into that area which would cause him unbearable pain.

Instead, he threw a tantrum right inside the ruins.

And now, the Pumpkin Head Soldier, who had disappeared from the sight of Mia and the others, was crashing through a wall.

In front of him appeared a Miranda Flower just as massive as he was.

Of course, the Pumpkin Head Soldier couldn’t see it.

But that didn’t stop him from hearing the pfft, pfft, pfft sound of the Miranda Flower releasing poisonous mist.

“Roar!” The Pumpkin Head Soldier charged toward the giant Miranda Flower.

He rushed into the dense poison released by that giant Miranda Flower.

The flail lashed out against the Miranda Flower’s thick receptacle, sending plant fragments and sap flying.

The Miranda Flower did not show weakness; it curled its petals and smashed its bud toward the Pumpkin Head Soldier in front of it.

The seemingly soft bud was actually as hard as stone at this moment, slamming fiercely against the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s massive helmet.

Once, twice—dents appeared on the heavy helmet. Every time the Miranda Flower struck, the force was no less than a full-strength blow from the strong Pumpkin Head Soldier wielding his flail.

The Pumpkin Head Soldier was forced to hunch over as the heavy bud struck his back. He roared, threw away his flail, and wrapped his arms around the swaying stem of the giant Miranda Flower.

“Roar——”

The Pumpkin Head Soldier straightened his back again, clutching the thick stem of the Miranda Flower tightly, attempting to uproot it.

The root system of the Miranda Flower gripped the stone tiles of the ground tightly, struggling to hold on under the monstrous strength of the Pumpkin Head Soldier.

The stone floor tiles, tightly gripped by the roots, were pulled up one by one. Perhaps the Miranda Flower could feel the emotion of ‘panic’; it continuously waved its roots, entangling the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s legs.

The rough, barbed roots dug deeply into the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s flesh.

But this still couldn’t stop him. The Pumpkin Head Soldier’s muscles were all tensed, and his feet, bearing the force, even sank into the ground.

Suddenly, “Pfft——” Black-red blood flowed out from the seam between the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s helmet and neck.

The pungent poisonous mist had taken effect. Even though it was pitch black inside the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s helmet, he still needed to breathe.

There were still significant gaps at the junction of the helmet and neck, and the highly toxic pollen of the Miranda Flower invaded the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s internal organs through those gaps.

Dark red blood dripped onto the stem of the Miranda Flower; the flower had finally felt the hope of victory.

It sprayed out an even more potent burst of poisonous mist.

“Awoo——————”

The Pumpkin Head Soldier let out continuous roars, using all the strength in his body for the sole purpose of uprooting the Miranda Flower.

Even though he was poisoned, it didn’t cause him to lose his strength. Steaming hot blood flowed rapidly within his body, and the Pumpkin Head Soldier had become flushed red all over from the exertion.

The stem of the Miranda Flower was leaving the surface of the ground, bit by bit.

The upheaved stone tiles and soil turned from individual pieces into large swaths.

The Miranda Flower, now at its wit’s end, emitted a sharp, animal-like screech.

The part of the stem in contact with the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s arms had already been ground into a slimy pulp by the immense friction, and the Pumpkin Head Soldier’s ten fingers were dug deep into the Miranda Flower’s stem.
