Elden Ring: Starting as Melina’s Sister
Chapter 170 This is the island's self-destruction
Quack, no double update.
Old illness flared up.
Arrhythmia. If there are any friends who don’t understand, you can imagine the feeling of your heart fluttering after being startled for four or five whole hours…
Good night, love you all.

“Scatter————!!!”
Knight Adlan shouted.
A giant rock fell from the sky, emitting a deafening roar, crushing everything that blocked it.
The Stone Giant’s huge body made of rocks cast a shadow. With its movements, countless gravel and dust kept falling.
Vortigern stood on the Stone Giant’s shoulder, indifferently watching everything small below.
In front of the Stone Giant, the Britons were like little chicks, screaming and fleeing in all directions.
‘Hum————’
The giant lifted its leg, and the stone friction made a harsh sound. “Boom————” The giant set its foot down again. The earth trembled, and frightened birds in the distant mountains and forests flew up in flocks.
Fluorspar Meteor could only leave some dents on the Stone Giant’s body,
The Britons were scurrying around under the Stone Giant’s feet…
No, it should be said that the Stone Giant stepped directly among the Britons.
“Go quickly!” Mia pulled up a fallen Soldier.
Turning back again, a Soldier who had fallen behind disappeared under the Stone Giant’s footsteps.
If it stepped on someone, that Soldier disappeared, becoming one with the stones and soil.
When the giant moved, the falling objects on its body were also the remains of bodies—those were the corpses in the castle, perhaps former survivors.
The stones on the Stone Giant’s body squeezed and rubbed against each other with its movements. Those flesh and blood were also crushed, falling down mixed in with the gravel with a clatter.
Mia could not stop.
She could only help those who were about to fall behind to move forward, but she was powerless against those who had already fallen behind.
“Scatter! Go separately!”
Mia shouted.
Before Mia had even shouted that, most of the Britons had already done so.
Faced with such a massive, terrifying mythical creature, no one could remain rational; as long as they could stay away from the Stone Giant’s shadow, they didn’t care which direction was the correct one.
A large number of Britain Soldiers tumbled off the road, fleeing towards the forest.
This could indeed save them from the imminent threat to their lives, yet behind the Stone Giant, at a distance, the Anglo-Saxons were cheering Vortigern’s name and charging behind it.
This time, the massive shadow fell over Mia’s head. She looked up and saw the Stone Giant’s sole rumbling down towards her.
The young girl turned into starlight and teleported away; the Stone Giant’s stomp only left a massive depression in the ground.
Mia turned back and once again exchanged gazes with Vortigern, who was standing on the Stone Giant’s shoulder.
The Stone Giant tore a rock from its own body and threw it at Mia. Mia used a Fluorspar Meteor to deflect the trajectory of the rock.
But the Stone Giant did not give up. It took a large step forward and deliberately leaned its body forward, just as a real human would want to crush an ant, bringing its sole down heavily.
The Stone Giant stepped on a patch of Glintstone Crystal. The crystals held up the foot, and Mia darted out from the gaps between the crystals.
But as the Stone Giant continued to increase the weight on that foot, the Glintstone Crystal began to crack and then shattered like glass.
That Stone Giant—no, Vortigern’s target was her!
The Britons kept fleeing, and some had even fallen behind the Stone Giant, but the Stone Giant still did not give up its pursuit of Mia.
Mia used teleportation once again, putting some distance between herself and the Stone Giant.
“Artoria! Get on the horse!”
She blew the whistle, and Torrent trotted along behind her.
“But…”
“Vortigern’s target is me! Although I don’t even know why… You must go and warn Braidin that the castle is gone!”
“Let me help you!”
Artoria retorted.
But Mia did not want to waste time lecturing this little sister.
“Wilden! Get them on the horse!”
“Wait—” Artoria cried out.
Wilden faithfully executed Mia’s command.
He tucked Artoria under one arm and grabbed the edge of Kay’s breastplate with the other hand.
“Why me too?!”
The two were tossed onto Torrent.
“Go!” Mia patted Torrent on the rump.
The spirit steed neighed and galloped away.
By the time Mia looked back, there were few people left behind her.
“Mage!”
The knight Adlan and the remaining Soldiers were hiding in the woods. After the Stone Giant’s footsteps had passed him, he immediately shouted loudly to Mia.
He felt that as long as Mia hid in the forest with them, she would be fine.
“Wilden, you go with the Soldiers.”
“…”
Sensing Wilden’s silence, Mia shook her head and said, “I know what I am doing; you must do as I say.”
“I understand.” Wilden did not say anything more, and before the Stone Giant’s large foot landed, he lunged toward the edge of the road.
Now only Mia was left.
The Stone Giant was still advancing; its heavy footsteps were like drumbeats, and the ground was the drumhead.
Constantly vibrating.
Mia first teleported again, and in front, she released a meteor, smashing it onto the Stone Giant’s head.
The Stone Giant’s head shifted a little, and it slowly but forcefully took half a step back.
“Come at me if you dare!”
After the taunt, Mia also ran toward the forest on the other side of the road.
In the opposite direction of Wilden and Adlan.
Vortigern stood on the Stone Giant’s shoulder, watching Mia run into the dense forest.
He leapt from the high place, and the shadows gathered behind him into the shape of dragon wings.
Gliding down through the air, he pursued Mia.
Through the canopy, Mia saw the black figure coming towards her.
This made her feel a little happy; her taunt had worked.
However.
The Stone Giant was still moving forward.
It was a moving mountain; it seemed that no one could stop it. It was truly the most tenacious, most stubborn bedrock itself.
Mia was a little stunned.
She thought she would be able to attract the Stone Giant’s attention.
The young girl slowed her pace slightly in surprise; this development was beyond her plan.
However, the moment she slowed her running, the black shadows extended their tentacles.
Mia jumped backward, and the starlight lifted her into the air.
A large Magic Pebble rotated and shot straight at Vortigern. The tentacles of shadow entangled the Magic Pebble, and it was swallowed in mid-flight.
But that was not the only Magic Pebble. A second Fluorspar Meteor traced a tricky and elegant curve in the air, striking Vortigern.
‘Good!’
The strike was successful, and Vortigern fell from the air. Mia felt happy in her heart.
But immediately after, an extremely intense pressure swept over.
A storm appeared abruptly, almost lifting everything around it; trees fell, and soil and rocks flew.
The gale whistled in Mia’s ears. She couldn’t help but protect her face and retreat.
That intense wind made it impossible for her to resist, and she was blown away by the impact.
With a thud, she crashed into a stubborn tree.
In that instant, Mia’s vision went black. Her internal organs felt as if they were about to burst out. A trace of blood surged from the depths of her throat, and as she fell to the ground, Mia coughed up a pool of blood.
The physical body was still too weak…
Mia looked up. A scene of devastation was presented before everyone; the place where Vortigern stood looked as if a tornado had swept through it.
A circular area with a radius of one hundred meters had been completely leveled; trees were uprooted, and the land was unrecognizable.
That black Soldier, as discordant as a hole in the air, stood in the center of the dead silence.
Vortigern faced Mia and slowly raised his hands.
“Come, daughter of my brother Uther, the Red Dragon of Britain,” he said.
“Show me your Star Power.”
Did he mistake her for someone else?
“Hehe… cough, cough, cough.” Mia curled her lips and coughed up some more blood.
She pressed her hand to her chest and healed herself.
“How are you so sure that I am the Red Dragon? That I am your nemesis?”
She asked.
“You really look like your mother.” Vortigern raised his head, seeming to take a breath: “I can feel… the essence within you; it is a power that, like mine, is not accepted by the world.”
“How pathetic,” Vortigern said.
“And what about you?” Mia retorted.
“To let the great Britain return to its primitive state, to return to an era that humans have never tainted—that would be wonderful. A dark paradise where humans can never survive. Come, try to stop me, Red Dragon who is not human. Try it with that Star Power bestowed upon you by the spirits.”
Vortigern pressed his hand down.
The ground churned, and darkness rose. Starting from beneath Vortigern’s feet, the ground turned into boiling black mud.
It was as if it were the reverse of everything in the human world, wishing to destroy all beauty in the world, born from the original malice.
The Fluorspar Meteor flew towards Vortigern, but Vortigern did not dodge or avoid it.
The meteor was swallowed by the shadows on Vortigern’s body.
“Merlin taught you well, but you are still lacking.”
