But just as she blocked Edward Quinn’s way, he forcefully pushed her aside. His strength was frightening, causing the orderly to lose balance and fall directly to the ground.

Edward Quinn continued to charge forward, wanting to catch up to that figure.

However, the patients coming and going kept blocking his path, obscuring his view.

And the silhouette was getting further and further away from him...

"Clover! Don’t go!" he shouted loudly, but his feet, due to the sudden sprint, seemed out of control and trembled heavily.

He could only watch helplessly as that figure disappeared from sight.

Clover... Clover...

No, he can’t watch her leave like this, no... he can’t... After all these years, he’s finally seen her again, how can it just end like this?

Even though at this moment his feet feel like they’re weighed down with lead, he still moves forward step by step, towards the direction where that silhouette disappeared...

"Mr. Quinn, your... your condition doesn’t seem so good right now, I’ll take you back to the ward immediately and call the doctor." The orderly who was pushed down hurriedly came over, scared by Edward Quinn’s appearance.

At this moment, Edward Quinn’s face was flushed red, veins bulging at his temples, looking as if his blood pressure had spiked. His eyes were bloodshot and terrifying, and his body swayed as if he might collapse at any moment.

But Edward Quinn seemed not to hear any of it, still he struggled to move his steps.

One step... two steps... three steps...

Even though there was no longer that silhouette in his vision, he continued to walk forward, as if reaching that place would allow him to find the person he had longed for for 30 years.

The orderly dared not say much or forcibly stop Edward Quinn, so he followed along, then made a phone call to the nurse station to inform them of the situation.

The nurses at the station were all well aware of Edward Quinn’s background, naturally they immediately contacted the on-duty doctor to rush to where Edward Quinn was to check his condition.

Edward Quinn finally arrived at the place where he last saw Clover’s silhouette. He looked around, but couldn’t find that figure anymore.

Why... why still can’t he find her? After finally seeing her, how could he miss her like this? Is it truly foreshadowing that the mistakes he made are unforgivable, that for the rest of his life he won’t be able to find Clover?

Edward Quinn felt a heat in his chest and, with a "wah," he vomited a mouthful of blood, then his feet seemed unable to support his body any longer, and he fell down.

The last thing imprinted in his sight was that patch of sky, a dull blue, just like the day Clover told him she would never forgive him, so gray, so oppressive...

Meanwhile, at the Hospital entrance, Mrs. Li, being supported by Grace Yowell, suddenly turned her head as if sensing something, looking towards the Hospital behind her.

"Mom, what’s wrong?" Grace Yowell asked.

"I feel as though someone is calling me," Mrs. Li murmured.
