“I wonder what private matter of the Landon Family has brought Mr. Harris to discuss with me?” The old master’s voice was neither cold nor warm as he spoke.

Daniel Harris got straight to the point, “It’s about Grace Yowell.”

As he uttered these words, the old master’s pupils suddenly contracted.

“I suppose your Landon Family must have investigated Grace Yowell’s background before allowing her to join, so I shouldn’t need to detail her past, correct?” Daniel asked.

The old master grunted, “Is it that you intend to use her past identity to threaten the Landon Family in an attempt to gain some benefit?” After all, Grace Yowell’s previous identity was indeed not very honorable. Although she was once a big star, later, due to her involvement in the video exposing Mabel Quinn, she faced public criticism online, and subsequently got embroiled in a bombing case and served time in prison. Thus, when Grace Yowell joined the Landon Family, she changed her name and underwent cosmetic surgery, so nowadays, not many people know that the Landon Family’s young lady Isabella Yowell is actually Grace Yowell.

“Not at all, the Harris Family doesn’t need to resort to such means to seek benefits from others.” Daniel replied, his tone confident. The Harris Family had flourished under his management — this was his confidence.

“Then your purpose is…” The old master was a bit puzzled.

“I simply want to know why Mrs. Landon accepted Grace Yowell as her daughter. Was there something about her that attracted Mrs. Landon, or did she do something to win Mrs. Landon’s favor?” Daniel Harris asked. However, based on his impression of Grace Yowell, he suspected she must have employed some tactics.

“Hmph, she merely had good luck.” The old master’s tone carried a hint of disdain. Ever since he discovered her past, he never liked this woman. However, since his daughter was convinced that Grace was her long-lost child, he had to accept her concerns considering his daughter’s health.

“Luck?” Daniel raised his eyebrows slightly.

But the old master had no intention to elaborate, simply saying, “If Mr. Harris came today solely to learn why the Landon Family accepted Grace Yowell, I have already explained: she was lucky. Mr. Harris, please take your leave.”

Seeing that he had been politely dismissed, Daniel naturally left appropriately. As the servant led him out, he seemingly casually commented, “I’ve heard that your young lady was recognized by Mrs. Landon as her daughter because of her good fortune. Luck like that is hard to come by these days.”

“Indeed!” The servant agreed, for it wasn’t really a secret in the Landon Family, “If it weren’t for good luck, how could she have found the badge that the lady lost years ago, and happened to let the lady see it, thus was recognized as her daughter.”

Because of this, many servants in the Landon Family never really considered Grace Yowell as a genuine Landon Family member. They thought she was simply lucky, turning overnight from a down-and-out woman into a wealthy young lady. If another woman had picked up that badge, the outcome might have been the same.

Moreover, after Grace joined the Landon Family, aside from feigning in front of the old master and Mrs. Landon, her attitude was quite arrogant towards the servants, setting herself on a pedestal… the kind that had these servants grumbling behind her back.
