Chapter 1608 - 1650: Going to the Landon Family

Levi didn’t speak again, but Daniel could tell from his son’s expression that the child had taken his words to heart.

As for whether his son would take that crucial step in social interactions in the future, whether he would stop being so withdrawn, he wasn’t sure yet. But at least for now, there seemed to be some hope.

The Harris Family had some holdings in F City, and Daniel took his son back to the family villa there, entrusting a servant to look after him. "Daddy has some errands to run, be good and listen to the servant auntie here," Daniel instructed his son.

Levi pursed his small lips and didn’t answer, simply going to the side, sitting on the sofa, and playing with a Rubik’s Cube.

Daniel then briefed the servant before heading out. In general, his son, even though not very sociable and not fond of talking, was easy to manage and wouldn’t go outside wild like other children.

"Mr. Harris, where to?" the driver asked as Daniel got into the car.

"The Landon Family," Daniel rubbed his forehead, giving the driver the Landon Family’s address that he’d just received from the secretary via phone.

As the car drove towards the Landon residence, Daniel watched the scenery receding past the car window, his thoughts churning. Previously, when at Mabel’s home where the two children were playing together, he was truly surprised when Mabel told him Grace Yowell’s current whereabouts.

The name Grace Yowell... when it resurfaced in his mind, it was like dragging out a memory he most wished to forget.

He always thought he was a good judge of character, yet he didn’t expect that back then, he was just a blind fool, being deceived by Grace Yowell for ten years.

And he never imagined that Grace Yowell would become a young lady of the Landon Family and even have a daughter about Ivy’s age.

Grace’s daughter... Daniel had an intriguing suspicion in his heart. Logically, Grace should have been in prison during childbirth; in women’s prison, she couldn’t possibly have contact with men, so she must have been pregnant before her imprisonment.

According to his investigation back then, Grace was with his second brother, Josh, before imprisonment. Now Josh is serving a life sentence, but Grace only received a three-year sentence, and after serving it, she became a young lady of the Landons. It’s quite peculiar.

Though Mabel had shared Kyle Kinston’s investigation details with him, doubts still lingered in Daniel’s mind.

Was it really just at first sight? Did Mrs. Landon decide Grace was her daughter immediately after seeing her?

With lingering questions, he wanted to visit the Landons to find out the truth.

The car stopped at the entrance of the Landon mansion, and Daniel got off and rang the doorbell. Soon, a servant came to the door, and Daniel said, "I wish to see Mr. Landon Senior. Here’s my business card, please tell your senior master I wish to meet him purely regarding some personal matters related to your family."

The servant took the card and hurried off. After a while, the servant returned to open the door, leading Daniel into the Landon residence to meet Mr. Landon Senior.

At the study, Daniel met Mr. Landon Senior. Although nearly 90 years old, he looked vigorous and spirited.
