"Ha... Haha..." The Speaker’s mouth was frothy with blood, "It’s not over yet... This is my Earthly Celestial Kingdom."

"Not dead, huh? Then let’s try again."

Holt said, smashing the Speaker’s head with a punch, the skull burst, leaving only half a jaw hanging from the neck.

Yet, the disturbing laughter continued incessantly.

"Young man, your strength surpasses my imagination," the Speaker screeched like a ghost, "but you shouldn’t have stepped into my Celestial Kingdom!"

The Speaker laughed maniacally, the fruits that covered his body and hung from his neck convulsed and twisted; faces emerged on the surface of these fruits, each filled with pain and sorrow, screaming together with the Speaker.

Eerie ripples emanated from the Speaker, at first, Holt thought this was the Speaker’s Secret Energy, but the next second, he realized these ripples came from the fruits, these Fantasy Species.

Holt had never faced Fantasy Species before. To him, these blood-and-death-laden fruits were only things of legend, and he was unfamiliar with their power.

Out of caution, Holt indiscriminately encompassed the entire Nest Core with Amber, commanding everything to slow down until it halted.

Yet this couldn’t stop the spread of the ripples, nor could it prevent the Speaker’s plot from succeeding. As the ripples swept over Holt, he unwittingly recalled an Extraordinary Disaster years ago in Oubos.

Extraordinary Disaster · Time Distortion.

Holt realized belatedly, "So that’s how it is?"

In the storm of time-distorting ripples, the Speaker mocked, "Do you feel despair?"

"No," Holt shook his head, supremely confident, "I can kill you once, and I can kill you a thousand times. No matter how many times you attempt, the result will be the same."

Holt’s response left the Speaker somewhat disappointed. The Speaker thought Holt should be more desperate, so he could crush Holt’s arrogance into the dirt.

The Speaker said unwillingly, "I can fail countless times, but you only need to lose once."

Holt maintained his immense pride, "Really? Then give it your all, and try to survive in my hands."

Memories became clear, and Holt recalled the details of that Extraordinary Disaster, he murmured, "Besides, you’re quite unlucky. Despite your power to manipulate Extraordinary Disasters, you met an expert in handling them."

"What are you talking about?"

"Nothing."

Holt casually waved his hand, allowing the ripples to completely engulf him, as a blurred voice emerged from the light of time distortion.

"In the subsequent time reversals, you’ll understand what I am saying."

The voice added, "He’s much more merciless than I am."

A blinding light submerged everything, covering the entire Nest Core, the Speaker’s unique Earthly Celestial Kingdom, resetting the timeline to its origin as if a curtain descending over a stage, once it extinguished, everything returned to square one.

While the Speaker was still puzzled about what Holt’s last words meant, Holt’s voice rang out again.

"So... by killing you, I can completely cripple the All Secrets Order, right?"

The Speaker faced Holt directly, seeing the flicker of light reflected in his eyes, accompanied by a series of cracking sounds from around him, the shackles restraining him collapsing one after another into pieces of metal debris clattering to the ground.

Seeker of Glory.

The Speaker was very familiar with this recurring scene, what needed to be said had already been said in the last reversal, and he was disinclined to make any further effort to converse with Holt.

Mad fantasies erupted consecutively.

...

On the spiraling staircase, blood trickled down the steps like a crimson carpet or a waterfall of blood.

The entire area was filled with various brutal corpses, as if a bloodthirsty monster had slaughtered here, leaving almost no intact body.

In the deathly silence, a voice full of impatience and complaint rang out.

"So, due to the emergency situation, all the straight lifts in the Supreme Hub are sealed, and we have to climb up layer by layer?"

"Ye... yes,"

The Imperfect suppressed his inner fear, striving to forget those insane scenes just now, maintaining composure, he answered.

The other person still didn’t quite believe it, confirming again, "Climb layer by layer?"

The Imperfect swallowed hard, answering, "Yes, there’s no other way."

The other person folded his arms, appearing immensely troubled, as if forgetting the massacre he had just caused, he looked like a worker about to be late for work, fretting over a power outage in the elevator.

"Is it possible to rush all the way up outside the tower?" he suggested.

"But the place you want to go is the Nest Core, its outer wall is protected by the Aurora Path, eve... even if you are a Defender, you can’t break it in a short time."

"Oh... is that so?"

The other person showed a troubled expression, letting out a long sigh, reluctantly accepting the situation, then patted the shoulder of the Imperfect.

This pat scared the Imperfect out of his wits, jumping up like a startled rabbit, only to land heavily back down.

"Don’t be nervous, don’t be nervous, I’m not going to kill you,"

The other person kept comforting him, but looking at the corpses all around, the Imperfect didn’t believe a word.

"Truly, you’re not a Condenser, why would I kill you?"

The other person reached out to help the frightened Imperfect up, "Come on, stand up, get out of here quickly. Who knows, this High Tower might collapse soon, if it buries you, no one will save you."

His considerate gentleness left the Imperfect stunned.

"By the way, what are you doing here as an Imperfect?" The other person casually asked.

"Cle... Cleaning."

"Hey, it’s just cleaning, why take such risks, leave quickly,"

The other person pushed the Imperfect firmly, who tried taking two steps, his legs tingling as if they were not there.

Looking back, he saw the other person stepping up the blood-stained stairs, one step at a time, it seemed he truly intended to slay his way through the tower.

After hesitating a moment, the Imperfect still mustered up the courage to ask, "Who are you?"

The other person paused, after a moment of brewing, as if to lighten the mood, he blurted out a long string of words.

"I am Bologue Lazarus, head of the Order Bureau’s Special Operations Group, also acting head of the Temporary Operations Group, Field Operations Department’s Best Newcomer of the Year, friend of the Night Race Lord, survivor of Scorching Fury, Undead..."

Bologue rambled on, apart from the name, the Imperfect didn’t understand much.

At the end of his speech, Bologue sighed over his numerous titles and rich resume, practically a career strongman, then he remembered a nickname he was about to forget.

"Oh right, I’m also the Unshakable."
