Chapter 1851: Different Needles and Threads
Chapter 1851: Different Needles and Threads
Adam opened his eyes as he looked at the needle in his hand. It was thin, with a sharp tip, and was sharp only at its very center, unlike his previous needles.
Barring specific circumstances, the needle in his hand was not a weapon, but a tool he had created for a single purpose: to heal the Evolution Tree.
“What do you think?” Adam asked, his eyes never leaving the needle.
With a carefree expression, the Silver Weaver waved his hand.
“It’ll do for a first time, though if I had the same problem as Vador, I wouldn’t have dared to ask you for help.”
Clutch.
Adam gripped his needle tighter as the muscles in his face twitched.
“You… You’re testing my patience, right?”
However, Adam understood what the Silver Weaver was doing. Now, there was something he wanted to do, and it had nothing to do with Vador.
“Now, I’ve learned to change the shape of my needle. It turned out to be easier than I thought. But I can do much more with it than just reduce its size, can’t I?”
Adam turned around, staring into the void.
He pointed his needle forward as his eyes shone brightly.
At that very moment, the needle trembled and, under the influence of his energy, transformed in a flash that pierced the darkness before him.
Lone Blaze blinked several times in disbelief.
‘What? His needle grew to twenty meters long in an instant? This… This is a useful skill, there’s no doubt about it.
Tap.
Adam tapped on his needle, and it returned to its original size.
“So this is my maximum length?” he muttered thoughtfully. “I see. I need to work on this and on other methods.”
The Silver Weaver appeared to his right.
“Hey, try doing the opposite.”
“Hmm?” Adam glanced at him.
The Silver Weaver smirked slyly.
“Well, you channeled your energy to shrink your needle to this size. Now it’s small and white. If you did that, you can do the opposite, right?”
A gleam flashed across Adam’s eyes as he smiled contentedly.
“Got it. Will you help me with this?”
The Silver Weaver shrugged. “If you wish.”
At that very moment, streams of dark energy burst forth from the Silver Weaver, heading straight for Adam’s needle.
Adam didn’t resist. He used his own energy as well.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
Soon, the needle began to grow again until it returned to its original size and black color.
However, Adam had no intention of stopping there.
The needle continued to grow, and after a while, it reached the size of a greatsword. From a distance, his needle resembled Goen’s massive sword, though Adam understood that their weapons were on different levels.
‘Right, Goen’s sword isn’t just his energy and iron, it’s Arika, his Operator.’
A hint of sadness flashed in his eyes.
‘Silvana, you still haven’t contacted me, but every now and then I feel your energy tremble. What are you up to right now?’
Clutch.
Adam took a step back and gripped the hilt of his needle tightly with both hands.
Sure, there was nothing here he could cut through, no trees, no rocks, no hills, just darkness and the tree fragments.
But Adam didn’t need to see any destruction. To understand the full power of his weapon, all he had to do was make a single swing.
SLASH!
Putting all his strength into the next movement, Adam brought the great needle down on the darkness, sending a powerful wind blade forward.
Gulp.
Lone Blazed gulped. As an artifact, she sensed the fluctuations in energy and understood the power behind that swing.
Adam looked at his great needle and nodded deeply.
“Not bad. I’m still not very good at using it, the shape-shifting takes too long for combat, but I can get better, much better.”
Whoooosh!
The dark energy quickly left the needle, replaced by white energy as Adam decided to return it to its tool shape.
As the white energy flashed before his eyes, he looked at the Silver Weaver.
“But why didn’t you teach me this sooner? You know, it’s a useful ability.”
“When?” The Silver Weaver looked at him over his eyebrow with a slight smirk. “Your energy control only became good enough after defeating Zin. Now was the best moment.”
Lone Blaze nodded.
“Yes, he’s right. When you’re in someone else’s inner space, nothing gets in your way. In fact, Vador’s inner space is an even better case since his Evolution Tree is almost depleted. It’s an empty battlefield where you have complete control.”
Adam smiled as he pressed his hand to his chest.
“Got it. Thanks anyway. I’m sure I’ll put that power to use in my next battle. But, now… Lone Blaze, it’s your turn, right?”
They had to heal Vador. That was why Adam had come here.
“Yes, but I’m afraid I can’t offer you anything as powerful as what the Silver Weaver did.”
“That’s not a problem.”
Without hesitation, a powerful flame burst forth from Lone Blaze as the fire split into two streams. One stream turned into a ball of white threads, while the other became a ball of amber threads.
These threads were the main component of the End Bliss.
However, one component was missing.
“No black threads, right?”
Lone Blaze nodded deeply.
“I’m sure that if you use them, the Dark Energy will destroy Vador’s Evolution Tree, it will absorb all the remaining energy. We’ll kill him if we do that. So, I suggest another solution.”
Lone Blaze took a step back as the thread balls remained suspended before her.
She waved her hands, and at her command, the thread balls broke apart into hundreds of threads. Lone Blaze tossed them all aside, leaving only two, one white and one amber.
After that, she took the threads by their ends and began winding them into a spiral, simultaneously using her flame not merely to tie them together but to fuse them as one, much like when creating a composite metal.
Adam and the Silver Weaver watched intently with curious expressions.
“Done…” Lone Blaze sighed heavily as a single thread remained floating before her.
It was 50% white and 50% amber, with a spiral pattern.
Adam smiled, sensing the unusual energy emanating from this thread.
“Powerful energy from the amber part and lightness from the white one, right?”
His eyes were full of excitement.
“Good job. That’s exactly what we need!”
