Chapter 1852: Part One Is Complete
Chapter 1852: Part One Is Complete
Tap.
Adam pierced the edge of the tree part, threading a needle and the dual thread through it. He repeated this process over and over to create a large foundation.
He did the same on the other side so that the dual thread would join the two parts into one, causing the energy flows to oscillate.
Adam was completely focused on the process, while the Silver Weaver and Lone Blaze watched from the sidelines.
They had taught Adam something new. Once the situation with Vador and the Grad Family was over, Adam would be able to use these abilities to win his battles. The different needle shapes and the new type of thread, when combined, could be useful in many situations.
“This thread that Lone Blaze created…” Adam muttered to himself before making another stitch. “It doesn’t have the same destructive power as the black threads, but it’s full of energy. What if I used these threads not for attack, but for defense or acceleration?”
Tap.
The tree parts had been partially pressed together after the last stitch. Now they were joined by about 50%, so Adam needed to assess his work at this stage. He didn’t want to have to completely redo everything later and waste time on it if he’d done something wrong now.
“What do you think?” Adam asked, looking at the tree parts.
The Silver Weaver waved his hand. “Not bad. You still lack experience, but I don’t sense any energy leaking through the seams.”
Lone Blaze nodded. Unlike the Silver Weaver, her gaze was serious.
“Yes, I agree. The right side is completely insulated. Now the energy is flowing through the tree parts. When you’re done, this tree part won’t lose any more energy. I’m sure of it.”
Crunch.
Adam cracked his neck, stretching before stepping forward.
“Alright, it’s time to finish the job. Tsk, it’s only two parts, and the smallest ones at that.”
The Silver Weaver was lying on her back, floating in the darkness with her hands behind her head.
“You’ve got quite a bit of work ahead of you. The faster you do it, the better. Amelia promised you a reward if you remember.”
‘Right,’ Adam thought as he prepared to make the next stitch. ‘The Soul Stance. Amelia said it’s the fourth special power you can obtain in these lands. I’m sure I’ll need it very soon.’
Adam realized there must be reasons why most K4-Phantoms couldn’t overcome the barrier before the Second Circle.
The absence of one of the four components could be a reason. He had to rule out that possibility, and with Amelia’s help, he would be able to obtain the last part.
‘What’s more, all of this will make me stronger. Not just needle shapes, threads, and the Soul Stance, I can feel my energy control growing, and I haven’t even done 1% of the work yet.’
That was true.
Adam wasn’t sewing fabric but the Evolution Tree of a Lord. Sure, Vador was exhausted and on the verge of death, but he still possessed great power.
Only Adam’s needle could pierce the Evolution Tree with such ease. All Adam had to do was focus his energy on the tip, making his needle as sharp as possible.
The white part of his thread accumulated energy flows, while the ember part reinforced the tree’s edges.
With the resources Adam had, he did the best he could.
If Amelia were to see his work now, she would be pleased.
Thus, one hour passed, then a second, and a third.
This wasn’t Adam’s inner space, and he was using his abilities, so time in reality was the same as it was here.
“Agh…”
Adam sighed heavily as he looked at the ten tree parts floating before him. His hands trembled slightly, as he had expended a great deal of energy without taking a single break for three hours.
“Damn, this is really not easy. I’m repeating the same action over and over, and I can’t make any mistakes, otherwise, there’ll just be more work!” Adam complained.
He had never done anything like this before, so he made mistakes from time to time. He might apply too much force and break a piece of bark, or choose a spot that was too narrow, which also led to damage.
Sure, this hurt Vador, but Adam did things right far more often than he did them wrong.
Now, he had joined two small parts, two medium parts, and another chunk that was larger than the previous ones.
Now, the three joined parts hovered before him. Energy was still leaking from them since the edges were open, but because of their total surface area, they had much greater capacity.
“Alright, now for the hardest part. If I can join these three parts together, then eventually I’ll restore his Evolution Tree to its original form.”
The Silver Weaver and Lone Blaze exchanged glances. They knew this would be more difficult because the parts were significantly larger.
“Try making deeper seams,” the Silver Weaver suggested. “It’ll be rough work, but you’ll eliminate the risk of your threads snapping. If one of these parts gets damaged, Vador will lose a lot of energy.”
Adam’s expression grew more serious.
“Yes, you’re right. After today, he’ll be much better off, but I’ll need far more than three hours to finish everything.”
Taking a step forward, Adam swung his needle as the white-and-amber thread whizzed past his eyes.
Stitch by stitch, Adam gradually closed in on his goal, working on three parts at once.
Gradually, like asteroids drifting through space, the tree parts drew closer to one another until they touched gently.
Adam nodded deeply and made another row of stitches that went closer to the edge. He decided to follow the Silver Weaver’s advice and also incorporate his own idea.
“Whoa…”
Adam wiped the sweat from his forehead, looking at the massive tree part hovering before him.
“Even now, I can feel how much stronger his energy has become. And… how much have we completed out of the total? 15%? Maybe 20%?”
Lone Blaze stepped forward, gazing at the floating tree parts in the distance.
“Soon you’ll connect them all.”
But her thoughts were elsewhere.
‘Who would have thought Adam would suddenly get such a productive training session? That’s good, very good.’
