Chapter 710: If We Are Going To Fall, We’re Dagging You With Us!
Chapter 710: If We Are Going To Fall, We’re Dagging You With Us!
Dim Dim found its back pressed against the wall of the coliseum.
Its little body trembled as it fearfully looked at the fairies who had chased it into a corner.
"D-Dim Dim!"
"What do we think we’re doing?" Doh asked in a teasing tone. "Of course, we have come to take our dear friend, Dim Dim, with us to watch the singing tournament together."
"Don’t tell me... you’re going to leave and not support Alex? That can’t be!" Reh smirked. "Aren’t you two close friends?"
"D-Dim Dim!"
"Oh? You were just planning to buy some snacks outside while waiting for the tournament to start?" Mii giggled. "Don’t worry. I, your Big Sis, am going to buy it for you. So what kind of snacks would you like to eat?"
"D-Dim!"
"What do you mean you’ll decide when you get there?" Fah playfully pressed her hand on Dim Dim’s chubby cheek. "Just give up, Dim Dim. If we are going to fall, you are falling with us!"
"Girls, take him!" Sue gave the order.
"N-Nooooooo!" Dim Dim cried out pitifully, but it was useless.
The fairies dragged the helpless little bun back to the audience stands and sat it on the area reserved for Frieden Academy.
Some time earlier, it had been seated with Chuck, making sure the seats of its club members wouldn’t be taken.
The little bun had a plan. It would first listen to the singers of Faelarun and Solara Academy. Then, when it was Alex’s turn to sing, it would leave quietly in order to preserve its sanity!
Unfortunately, the fairies had already anticipated this to happen!
"Wuwuwuwu!"
Dim Dim cried out pitifully as the fairies dragged it back to their seat, much to the amusement of the students who saw this scene.
They thought they were just doing some kind of act while waiting for the intermission number.
"D-Dim Dim!" Dim Dim cried out, asking the fairies to make a compromise.
"What? You’re going to wear your ear muffs?" Melodina, the fairy who was in charge of the Battle Choir in Frieden Academy, grinned at those words. "Not a chance! Hohohoho!"
The other fairies of the academy were also there in full force. All of them were anxious and excited at the same time.
They already knew what was coming and had braced themselves for it. After all, the main reason they had come was to see the entire tournament devolve into chaos the moment Alex started singing his song.
That was the moment they were waiting for!
The moment when the entire world would burn!
Poor little Dim Dim was flanked from every direction, unable to escape. Even when it used its most adorable and pitiful appearance to appeal to the fairies, none of them budged.
In fact, they even patted its head and told it to accept its fate!
"You guys are funny," Chuck commented as he looked at the fairies who were holding Dim Dim in place, preventing it from escaping.
"Dim Dim!"
"Um? What do you mean, it’s not funny?"
"Dim Dim!"
"You’re saying it’s a matter of life and death?" Chuck blinked before glancing at the fairies. "What is Dim Dim talking about?"
"Who knows?" Doh smirked. "Dim Dim might just be feeling excited because it is now Alex’s turn to sing."
The earlier performances from the Solara and Faelarun Academy were both wonderful.
Their Singing Kings were all handsome individuals. Their singing voices were incredible as well.
However, based on the scoreboards from the impartial judges who had come to rate each singer, the Singing King from Faelarun Academy scored five points higher than the singer of Solara Academy.
"And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!" The Master of the Ceremony’s voice spread across the entire coliseum. "Let me welcome the Singing King of Frieden Academy, Alex Stratos!"
The lights of the coliseum dimmed as the spotlight pointed at one of the entrances of the coliseum.
A moment later, a young man walked into the spotlight.
The projection created by magic displayed a handsome young man with short silver hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing a white princely suit adorned with intricate golden embroidery. Golden vines and floral patterns decorated the lapels, cuffs, and hem of his long coat, giving him the appearance of a prince who had stepped straight out of a fairy tale.
Beneath the coat was an elegant cream-colored vest, embroidered with even more golden designs, paired with a pristine white cravat secured by a golden brooch that rested proudly against his chest.
The long tails of his coat reached almost to his ankles, swaying gracefully behind him as he walked. Every golden button, every carefully stitched pattern seemed to shimmer beneath the spotlight.
For a brief moment, the entire coliseum fell silent.
Many of the young ladies in the audience felt their hearts skip a beat.
This included Astrea and Lapiz, who had both sneaked out to watch this performance. The two of them had long wanted to hear Alex sing, and they wouldn’t miss this chance for the world.
Alex’s lovers looked at him fondly. The young man didn’t usually pay too much attention to his looks since he didn’t need to.
After all, he was already good-looking to begin with.
But now that Lotte helped him fix his attire and style his hair, the result was something that took everyone’s breath away.
"I know what you’re thinking," Lulu whispered to Evangeline’s ear. "But you’re not allowed to eat him up tonight."
Evangeline gave Lulu the "What are you talking about?" look in response. Though deep inside, she had to admit that the urge to suck Alex once again rose up inside her chest.
Then again, it was not only her.
Alex’s lovers suddenly had the urge to eat him up.
This was especially true for Lavinia, who had been holding back for a while.
Meanwhile, standing in an inconspicuous place within the coliseum were Professor Matilda and Lady Evarisse.
Even they had to admit that the young man had the charisma befitting the title of Singing King.
Unfortunately, they had no intention of letting him win.
Although they felt a little guilty for stooping low in order to ensure his downfall, they both regretted nothing.
Some sacrifices had to be made, and they chose to sacrifice the young man’s reputation and happiness, just so that they could gain their own happiness in return.
