It was a unanimous decision from the judges. In fact, they instinctively knew that if they didn’t give Astrea her proper due, they would definitely regret it in the future.
"And with that, may we call upon the Singing King to stand beside his Queen?" the MC said in a cheeky voice, which earned countless whistles from the crowd.
Alex was more than happy to stand by Astrea, so he didn’t hesitate to summon a shield and fly over to her side.
In fact, he was even very tempted to take her in a princess carry and fly off into the skies to tour the entirety of the Kingdom of Faelarun together.

"How about you, our Singing King?" the MC asked. "Are you single?"
"No," Alex replied.
"Um?" The MC, who planned to matchmake the two, blinked. "You’re not single?"
"I’m not."
"Why are you not single?"
This time, it was Alex’s turn to blink. He looked at the MC. He was wondering why the latter sounded like he wished Alex remained single for life!
"Ahem!" The MC knew he didn’t have the right to pry into the private life of others, so he continued his commentary. "Sorry about that, girls! It seems like the Singing King is already taken!"

The girls looked visibly disappointed to hear that their prince charming was already taken.
They were hoping Alex and Astrea would suddenly become partners in front of everyone, which would become a story that would spread far and wide like wildfire.

"Guards!" Alex called out. "Someone, take this man away!"
Everyone laughed at the sudden comedy skit, which they thought was part of the script. Unfortunately, it wasn’t scripted at all. The quick-witted MC hurriedly changed topics once more.
"Well then. I would like to inform everyone that there will be a parade held after the tournament ends," the MC declared. "With that said, the Singing King and Singing Queen will have their own float together, so look forward to it!"

After congratulating Alex and Astrea, the MC finally announced that the orchestra competition would start after a two-hour break.
As for the Battle Choir, it was the last event of the musical tournament and would be held in the evening.
At that moment, Alex suddenly had an idea. He didn’t even bother to consult Professor Arienna. Instead, he directly talked to the Manager who handled all the events in the tournament.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" the Manager asked. "You might be the Singing King, but this is still a great gamble."
"Don’t worry, Sir," Alex replied. "This will be the best for everyone. If I lose, then I lose. Also, wouldn’t it be more exciting this way?"
"Well, you’re not wrong." The Manager nodded in agreement. "Very well. I will coordinate with Faelarun and Solara Academy. If they agree to it, then we will do it your way. If not, then we will go with the pre-planned setting."
"Understood." Alex was satisfied with this arrangement.
After leaving the Manager’s office, he rejoined the students of Frieden Academy, who planned on celebrating Alex’s and Astrea’s landslide victory in the singing competition.
"To think that the golden award for both Singing King and Singing Queen will land in our academy... I can already see my salary getting a raise!" Professor Arienna laughed before chugging the goblet of fruit juice in her hand.
Professor Rowan could only smile wryly at the Music Professor, but he had indeed promised her a pay raise if the Musical Division performed well in the tournament.
"Let’s win the other musical competitions, everyone!" Professor Arienna raised her goblet and shouted.

"S-Someone help me," Heather muttered helplessly as she watched Professor Arienna party like there was no tomorrow.
Fortunately, Professor Rowan kindly reminded the Music Professor that there were still other competitions that day and advised her not to act too rowdy because it might stress out the other participants.
The Headmaster’s nagging pulled Professor Arienna out of cloud nine. She stopped making a ruckus. Instead, she simply enjoyed the food and drinks while encouraging her students to do well in the tournament.
"She sure is a handful," Alex muttered, making Chuck and Charles nod in agreement.
"Alex, I heard that if you won the singing tournament, you and Latifa will receive her mother’s permission to finally date," Chuck said. "Congratulations."
"Thank you, Chuck," Alex replied.
"Congratulations, Alex."
"Thank you, Charles."
His two friends were very happy that Alex no longer had anything blocking his path from dating Latifa. Of course, if both of them knew that the young man still had "other potential girlfriend candidates" waiting for him, they might have given him the judgmental "You still want more?" gaze.
Alex made sure not to drink and eat a lot because he still needed to sing later.
While this was happening, the fairies were drinking as if trying to get drunk.

All the fairies looked dejected. Though since they were already here, they would see the competition to the very end.

The fairies all nodded in agreement.
After all, Alex’s diabolical singing voice was high-quality entertainment that they already couldn’t live without.
