Just then, a woman from the fleeing crowd stumbled and fell. Her face was old and weathered, though she was barely in her thirties. Her son stood defiantly before her, shielding his mother.

A cruel light glinted in the giant wolf’s eyes at the sight. It ignored the woman, who was closer, and lunged for the child instead.

"Sigh. Rebelling is one thing, but to raise a Demon Wolf? To let a beast slaughter your own kind? You all deserve to die!"

Fang Yue could watch no longer. He drew his long saber and hurled it at the Demon Wolf.

The Demon Wolf was cleaved in two. Fresh blood sprayed across the town’s flagstones, instantly staining a large patch of them crimson.

The sight stunned everyone!

The Rebel Army soldiers outside, in particular, now spotted Fang Yue and his companion.

Soon, a cavalryman spurred his horse out of the nearby woods and knelt on one knee before the leader.

"General, an Innate Grandmaster has appeared in the town ahead. He killed the Holy Wolf and routed the Third Command!" the cavalryman reported.

"Useless fools! All of them, and they couldn’t even stop him. They deserve to die! Where did they go? We can’t let them get away!" Chen Tianwang’s eyes were cold as ice.
