Chapter 438: Chapter 263: Succeeded

He felt a violent headache, as if countless needles were piercing his mind all at once.

The pain didn’t last long, however, and soon began to fade.

In its place came a cool, comfortable sensation, as if a clear spring were flowing through his mind.

At the same time, Fang Yue was surprised to find a wealth of unfamiliar information in his head.

This information was like an ancient tome, recording a mysterious and powerful Cultivation Method.

’Is this... the Soldier God Technique?’ Fang Yue was startled, recognizing the name of this Cultivation Technique.

The Soldier God Technique was a legendary Cultivation Method. It was said that only those with exceptional Talent and fortune could successfully cultivate it.

This Cultivation Technique used weapons as a medium. Cultivators could communicate with their weapons to comprehend the weapon’s will and soul, thereby dramatically increasing their cultivation speed and combat prowess.

Furthermore, it was said that upon reaching a high enough realm, one could wield the power of their weapon to unleash terrifying, world-destroying might.

’I can’t believe such a precious Cultivation Method was hidden here in Hidden Soldier City!’ Fang Yue was overjoyed.

He knew his gains this time were immense. Not only had he obtained a legendary Divine Weapon, but he had also acquired the mysterious Soldier God Technique.

With this Cultivation Technique, his cultivation speed was bound to increase dramatically, and his future achievements would be limitless.

However, just as Fang Yue was reeling with excitement, the sudden sound of hurried footsteps reached him.

His expression changed. He knew someone was coming.

And from the sound of it, there was more than one person!

’This is bad. Could it be those three returning?’ Fang Yue thought grimly.

He knew he wasn’t in good shape. The torrent of information from the Soldier God Technique had just battered his mind, and although he had recovered, his Primordial Qi was still somewhat depleted.

If he fought those three now, he would likely be at a disadvantage.

At this thought, his figure flickered and he hid in a corner of the secret chamber.

At the same time, he circulated the Primordial Qi in his body to completely conceal his aura, seemingly melting into his surroundings.

Soon, a set of frantic footsteps echoed at the entrance of the secret chamber.

"Quick, check if it’s still there!"

As the voice faded, two figures rushed into the secret chamber. It was the two sisters, Qing’Er and Yu’Er, who had entered earlier with the Hidden Soldier Map.

Their eyes quickly swept across the room, immediately landing on the dozen or so Divine Soldiers on the stone platform.

Swords, spears, sabers, and halberds—the dozen or so Divine Soldiers shimmered with a brilliant, dazzling light.

However, as fine as these weapons were, they were not the purpose of their trip.

Qing’Er and Yu’Er’s gazes scanned the stone platform before finally settling on a bookshelf on the stone wall.

The two hurried over to the bookshelf. After searching for a moment, they finally found the book they were looking for.

"The Soldier God Technique! It really is here!"

Qing’Er’s voice betrayed her unconcealable excitement. Her fingers gently caressed the book’s cover, as if she could feel a powerful force emanating from within it.

Yu’Er was also beaming with joy. She leaned in for a closer look and, after confirming it was the right one, carefully took the book from the shelf. "Sister, we didn’t come in vain! With this book, our cultivation will surely rise to the next level!"

However, just as the two sisters, ecstatic, were about to leave with the Soldier God Technique, a powerful aura suddenly erupted from a corner of the secret chamber.

Immediately after, a figure flashed before them with lightning speed and snatched the Soldier God Technique.

"Heh heh, this is mine now!"

It was a middle-aged man in green robes. At this moment, Fang Yue, still hiding in the corner, was utterly shocked.

He had assumed it would be the previous trio, but instead, a complete stranger—this green-robed man—had appeared and unexpectedly snatched the Soldier God Technique.

’It seems I wasn’t the only one after the Hidden Soldier Map,’ he thought.

However, Fang Yue had already received the legacy of the Divine Will from within the Soldier God Technique, so there was no need for him to complicate matters now.

He would just watch how the fight between Qing’Er, her sister, and the green-robed man would unfold. He remained quietly hidden in the corner, making no sound, as if he had truly become a part of the secret chamber.

Although he didn’t make a move, his eyes were fixed on the unfolding situation, ready for any unexpected developments.

The green-robed man held the Soldier God Technique in one hand, his face filled with smug satisfaction. He shot a cold glance at Qing’Er and Yu’Er, then turned to leave.

"Stop!" Qing’Er cried out, thrusting her sword forward in an attempt to reclaim the Soldier God Technique. "We found that first! Give it back!"

Yu’Er followed close behind, swinging her sword at the green-robed man. Though the sisters were no match for him, they were now fighting with everything they had.

The green-robed man sneered. His figure moved like the wind, weaving through the secret chamber and effortlessly dodging the sisters’ attacks.

His movements were erratic, like a fish darting freely through water, making his trajectory impossible to predict.

"Two little girls dare to fight me for something? You truly don’t know your place!" the green-robed man taunted.

Qing’Er and Yu’Er gritted their teeth in anger, but they were helpless.

Their strength was indeed inferior to his. He easily nullified their attacks, and they couldn’t even touch the corner of his sleeve.

"Just who are you?!" Qing’Er yelled, exasperated.

"Heh heh..." Their only response was a derisive laugh, after which the green-robed man rushed toward the exit.
