Liora watched calmly as her form flickered like a candle that was about to be extinguished.

She wasn’t surprised by this phenomenon, having learned about it from the Mountain Demon Lord earlier.

Since this was believed to be the battlefield where Princes of the Demon World had once fought, the entire area had been destroyed, including both time and space.

At every moment, countless time fragments wandered across this land, striking anything that dared to stand in their way.

This was why anyone who had not mastered the power of time would perish immediately upon entering the Land of Origin.

Only Ancient Devils could possibly withstand this "corruption."

Liora’s current state was also a symptom of this phenomenon.

Of course, although it was called a symptom, it was actually quite deadly.

If someone affected by it didn’t fight back, they would surely be "extinguished," their traces erased from all spacetimes.

This applied even to Ancient Devils. If they were not careful, even their Thrones would be affected, spelling their complete death.

"According to the Mountain Demon Lord, the easiest way to overcome this phenomenon is to call upon the power of the River of Time and construct a miniature timeline around yourself."

"That way, the time fragments will have difficulty reaching you and thus affecting you..."

Liora recalled this information but didn’t rush to act on it.

Instead, she allowed the time fragments to continue striking her, closing her eyes to feel the entire process.

As time passed, the flickering of her form became increasingly intense.

The corruption deepened.

Thankfully, just as it seemed that Liora had given up on surviving, her eyelids fluttered, and her eyes suddenly opened.

"I see... It seems my initial guess was correct. I can indeed try to resolve the time fragments’ impact this way," Liora whispered.

The next moment, she took action.

Rather than create a miniature timeline as the Mountain Demon Lord had suggested, she consciously transformed her own form.

If anyone had been there to observe her, they would have realized that Liora was slowly shedding her human-like appearance.

Scales began appearing all over her body, while her nails elongated into massive, deadly claws.

The rest of her body underwent a similar transformation, growing from just less than two meters tall to hundreds of meters tall.

Before long, Liora had vanished.

In her place stood a very familiar creature.

"Roaar!" A thunderous cry echoed across the desolate continent.

Liora had not even opened her mouth, yet her existence appeared to impact her surroundings.

Shockingly, she had transformed into a Dragon. More precisely, into a Dragon of Time.

The instant this change occurred, the flickering of her form abruptly ceased.

The time fragments stopped affecting her.

They immediately bypassed her and flowed into the distance, making her look like a sturdy rock that remained unmoved by the surrounding river’s currents.

Liora was not surprised.

She knew that everything in this world depended on one’s power.

The power of time was no different.

What Archdevils could not withstand, Ancient Devils had the power to fight against.

What Ancient Devils had to fight against, Princes of the Demon World could endure with ease.

Although Liora was neither a Princess nor borrowing the Cosmic Universe’s power, her Dragon of Time form allowed her to wield similar authority.

In a sense, she had become the darling of the River of Time. Even the chaotic time could not affect her.

"Back when I was still an Archdevil, my Dragon of Time form granted me authority at the level of an Ancient Devil, allowing me to escape the clutches of the River of Time with ease."

"Now, with my advancement, deeper understanding of Time, and improvement of this form, my authority should be no weaker than that of an ordinary Prince..." Liora muttered.

More importantly, she could sense that this was not the true limit of the Dragon of Time.

The more powerful she became, the stronger this form would grow.

Countless thoughts raced through Liora’s mind.

Fortunately, she didn’t dwell on them for long.

She knew that now was not the time to think about such things.

First, she had to investigate the Land of Origin further and compare her findings with the information provided by the Mountain Demon Lord.

Then, she had to discover how this secret realm could benefit her.

Just as Liora was thinking about this, her dragon head suddenly jerked to the side.

She sensed movement in that direction, seemingly coming from one of the nearby lands.

She didn’t linger.

Without any hesitation, she flapped her wings, her Dragon of Time form blending into the chaotic flow of time as she rushed into the distance.

--

The structure of the Land of Origin was peculiar.

Perhaps it was because of the chaotic flow of time, or perhaps because the battle had taken place in the Demon World.

No matter the reason, its structure greatly resembled that of the Demon World.

Unlike this apex world, however, which had countless Demon Layers "stacked" on top of one another, the Land of Origin was a true amalgamation of broken worlds.

Continents. Planets. Universes.

They were all right next to one another, their fragments merging in a chaotic manner to create a full whole.

Liora had already heard about this from the Mountain Demon Lord.

Yet as she moved through the Land of Origin, she witnessed it firsthand.

One moment, she stood on a desolate continent. Then, with a flap of her wings, she appeared above a ruined planet.

With another flap, she entered a black hole that had devoured a universe and every life within it.

Had it not been for her own strength, Liora might have wondered whether she had gone mad.

The constant change would make any creature start to doubt themselves.

Thankfully, Liora soon left the chaotic spacetime behind.

Before long, she had arrived at her destination.

The area was a fragment of a giant planet, with one quarter of the planet floating in the white void.

Liora paid little attention to its shape.

Instead, she looked at the beings currently standing on its surface.

They were engaged in a life-and-death battle, both sides wanting to tear the other apart.

Liora recognized one of them.

On one side stood the Ancient Devils, some of whom she had seen outside the Land of Origin.

As for the other side, they appeared to be native creatures, similar to the birds she had encountered earlier.

Unlike those harmless birds, however, which had scattered in fear upon sensing Liora’s presence, these beings were far more fearless.

More importantly, they were far more powerful.
