Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 189: Angel Is More Than Crazy

  • Next Chapter

None of them understood what was happening. One moment, they had all been sitting comfortably inside the restaurant, eating together like everything was normal.

The next, they were outside in the parking lot, completely surrounded by armed men.

Five men in sleek tailored suits stood directly in front of them, each one holding a high-caliber handgun and pointing it right at Angel, Mary, and Pedro.

"What the fuck is actually happening here...?" Angel muttered under her breath, completely confused by the sudden escalation.

Mary immediately reached toward her waist, her hand searching for the compact gun that was supposed to be resting inside her holster.

"Looking for this?" Pedro asked smoothly, his voice lacking its earlier warmth.

"Yes, my gun..." Mary stopped her movement the moment she looked over at him.

Pedro was holding her gun in his right hand. And he was standing firmly on the side of the five armed men.

"What are you doing, Pedro?" Mary muttered, her eyes wide as she refused to believe what she was seeing.

"What does it actually look like to you, Lady Mary?" Pedro said coldly, clicking the safety off. "This is your official execution."

"Well, at least we now know why he was acting all strange back at the table... Can’t believe this absolute nonsense," Angel muttered, rolling her shoulders.

Mary could feel the deep sting of betrayal settling in her chest. She could not believe Pedro was actually standing there trying to kill her in cold blood.

"Why are you trying to kill me? This does not make any sense at all. We are business partners."

"Partners? You are nothing but a mere Omega in a high position. For years, I have been the main one in charge of the import and export of all goods across the territory. You haven’t even been here for a full year yet, and you are already taking my rightful place in the family. And an Omega at that." Pedro’s eyes were filled with pure jealousy and intense hatred. "You simply have to die tonight so I can get my position back."

"If you kill me right here, do you really think my aunt is going to let you live past tomorrow?"

"Ahh, I will just easily make up a believable story for her. She always believes whatever I say anyway. I’ll just tell her we got ambushed and robbed by other dangerous rivals, you couldn’t survive the crossfire, and I barely managed to escape. Not a big deal at all. You are definitely not the first person to die like that in this city."

While Pedro was busy talking and boasting, Angel slowly raised both of her hands up to shoulder level.

"Pedro, friend... Can I say something really quick before you shoot?"

"Friend? We are not friends. But what on earth do you want to say right now?"

"I never even wanted to come out here in the first place. I honestly thought you were just hitting on her, not knowing your true dark intentions. But I promise you, if you just let me walk away without a single word, I will completely turn a blind eye to all of this."

Angel pointed a finger back toward her own chest.

"I never even liked her in the first place, and she went ahead and married a Beta. Can you even imagine that? Just let me walk away right now, and I promise you I will go right back to being just a simple ranch girl all my..."

"How am I supposed to actually trust you? You are dying right here with her."

"Come on now. Killing her would actually make sense for your business growth, but killing me? It won’t make any fucking sense at all to anyone. Besides, you clearly need someone outside the family to testify for your story. I can easily do that for you."

Angel continued speaking smoothly, acting as if she was genuinely trying to convince him to save her own skin. "Just tell everyone you did everything you could, but the bad guys got to the Omega first because she was weak."

Pedro stared at her ranch outfit and sighed, waving his gun toward the road. "Just get out of here. I don’t want to see your face anywhere around the Martinez Fortress ever again," Pedro said.

He clearly did not want to deal with the messy political fallout of killing a Del Rosario in the first place. Especially dealing with Priesto and his crazy nuns..

"Thank you so much. I promise you, tonight is the last night you will ever see me around here."

Angel turned right around and walked away toward the parking lot to find her Jeep, leaving Mary standing there all alone.

Mary could not believe her own eyes.

Angel was actually that much of a coward?

She had honestly thought Angel was far more capable than she expected her to be.

She remembered Javier Sanchez once talking about Angel and her fearless lifestyle as a Morningstar.

"Come to think about it..." Pedro said, stepping closer as he looked back at Mary. "I won’t let such a sexy Omega like you die just like that."

A disgusting smirk appeared across his face as he looked her body up and down.

Even the five armed men standing around him did the exact same thing, chuckling low.

"I want to see what’s underneath that nice body of yours first. Strip down for me, Omega."

Mary glared at him with pure disgust. "Just shoot me right now and end this nonsense."

"Tsk, tsk. Well, you are certainly not the only Omega in this world. Goodbye, Maria Martinez."

Pedro raised the gun straight at her head.

He was just about to pull the trigger and shoot Mary when the roaring sound of a heavy engine suddenly came speeding straight toward them out of the dark.

The front headlights were so blindingly bright that none of the men could see who was actually sitting behind the wheel.

Pedro yelled out and jumped wildly out of the way. The Jeep slammed directly into two of the armed men at top speed. The car hit them and ran them over over and over again before finally coming to a harsh, screeching stop on the pavement.

When the cloud of dust cleared and the men could finally see clearly, they realized it was Angel’s Jeep.

Angel slammed the transmission stick and rapidly reversed the vehicle. The remaining men immediately opened fire with their weapons. Two of them fired straight at the front of the Jeep, multiple bullets hitting the headlights and completely destroying them.

The bright light finally went completely out, revealing Angel’s calm face behind the cracked windshield.

She was sitting there smiling, having a crazy crimson eyes, deep dimples were clearly visible in the dim moonlight.

Angel floored the gas pedal and drove the Jeep straight toward them again. The panicked men jumped out of the way, allowing Angel to get the driver’s side close enough to Mary.

Mary was still completely stunned, staring wide-eyed at Angel through the open window.

"Yeah, do you need a written invitation or something? Get in the fucking car right now!" Angel sneered, leaning over.

Mary quickly scrambled up and climbed into the back seat, immediately lowering her head down low against the floor to avoid getting hit by any stray bullets.

Angel could have simply slammed the gas pedal and driven away into the night right then.

But she had just promised someone that he was never going to see her again. So she put the car in park, unbuckled her belt, and stepped right out of the Jeep.

"Where on earth are you going right now?" Mary called out frantically from the floor.

Angel reached down and grabbed two guns from the hands of the two dead men lying on the ground.

She then spotted another hitman who was already severely injured, groaning beside the front corner of a car.

Without thinking twice or slowing her pace, Angel raised the barrel and shot him straight in the head.

The other two hitmen had already taken off into the shadows and were long gone.

Then Angel heard footfalls scrambling behind her. She already knew exactly who it was.

"Hola, Pedro... and bye-bye, Pedro."

Angel pointed both weapons and emptied the remaining bullets straight into his chest and head, killing him on the spot before he could even raise his arm.

The dude had been far too slow on the draw, and Angel had instantly used the opportunity to eliminate him.

She walked over slowly, reached down into his bloody hands, picked up Mary’s gun, and returned to the driver’s side of the Jeep.

She tossed the weapon over the seat and handed the gun straight to Mary.

"Here is your gun back. And by the way, you owe me a brand new Jeep. If you can’t afford to buy me the latest new model, you better pay to repair this exact one. From the front bumper to the cracked windshield and the broken headlights. I need it fixed before tomorrow morning because I need to drive my wife to her work."

"Can you please just drive the car and let’s get out of here right now before more people come and start showing up, or before they bring backup?" Mary said, her breathing heavy as she looked around, already deeply worried about what was going to happen next.

"So this is thanks I get for saving your life out here? You Omegas and your big pride..." Angel said, shaking her head as she put the car into gear.

"Thank you, Angel. Now please just drive us home."

Angel rolled her eyes at her tone.

She turned on the rumbling engine and started driving at full speed out of Playa Coast and straight back toward Playa Linda.
