And so Angel followed Mary all the way out of Playa Linda, driving behind her until they finally arrived at a nearby coastal town called Playa Coast. They were all sitting around having a business meeting while Angel sat high up on top of her Jeep, busy snacking on a big juicy burger and video calling her wife to see how she was doing.

April was having a really good time over at the cafe shop. They were super busy renovating the place to expand the main building enough to make a proper office space for their growing online business.

After the phone call ended, Mary and Pedro, the tall mustached Mafia Alpha, were slowly approaching the vehicles, and he was saying something witty that made Mary burst out laughing. Angel immediately took a quick picture on her phone and sent it straight to Benny.

Benny then replied back to Angel right away, firmly telling her to do something about it, but Angel texted back that he wasn’t hitting on her girl, so why should she even care?

After going back and forth texting each other, Angel finally gave in and walked right over to step directly between Mary and Pedro.

"Mary, are we done here? Shall we go now?" Angel said, casually shoving the Alpha dude aside with her shoulder. He looked completely confused by the sudden move, and it clearly made him feel deeply disrespected.

"And who on earth is this one?" Pedro said, frowning as he pointed his finger straight at Angel.

"Oh, I completely forgot to introduce you two. Pedro, this is Angel Del Rosario. She is from the Del Rosario family," Mary introduced smoothly.

"I have never heard of an Angel Del Rosario before... What is she, some kind of distant cousin?" he said, eyeing Angel up and down from head to toe, wondering why on earth she was dressed like some simple ranch worker.

"I am Paula and Lucinda’s first granddaughter. Nice to meet you, Pedro. Are you done talking now? We should all head straight back home now that the meeting is officially over..." Angel said in a very polite way, secretly wishing that what came out of his mouth next was that they were heading straight home.

"Yes, we are completely done with our business partners... and I actually want to take Lady Mary here out for a nice dinner right now."

"She is very much married and completely off the market. We can easily have dinner back in Playa Linda... Come on, let’s go..." Angel interrupted right away, stepping closer.

"I am taking her out for dinner because she mentioned she hasn’t been around this area... and as her main partner in business, I want to take her to eat at the nicest place ever."

And when they really should have been out on the open road heading straight back home, they were inside a fancy restaurant sitting down and having food.

Despite Angel being completely full from her big burger earlier, she still had to sit there and eat whatever food they ordered, not wanting this whole thing to look like a private date between the two of them.

Whenever Pedro said something funny and Mary laughed out loud, Angel would quickly follow along and laugh a very loud, fake laugh. Whenever he reached over and tried to remove a tiny piece of food from Mary’s face, Angel would quickly lean in and brush it off instead.

Angel kept aggressively interrupting every single private moment they had, making her intentions super obvious.

Then Pedro stood up and said he was going to head to the bathroom for a moment.

The second Pedro was completely out of earshot, Mary turned her body and faced Angel directly.

"Angel, what on earth are you doing right now?"

"Eating this steak... It’s so soft and tender. I’m honestly thinking about asking the head chef for the exact recipe before we leave. April is really going to love this..." Angel said, chewing her steak.

"Yes, it’s really delicious. I am even surprised myself. But that is not what I meant at all. I said, what are you actually doing here today?" Mary said with a very serious face, staring her down.

"I already told you that I wanted to learn your ways... the true Mafia way."

"Yeah, I remember you saying that... but now that I am rethinking about everything you said earlier, I’m starting to think you are actually prying into my life..."

"What? No way... I am definitely not spying on you. I do not need any kind of private information from you," Angel said, trying her absolute best to act innocent.

"Now that I am sitting here thinking about it, why on earth would you want to join the Mafia when you are already so happy with what you have? Look at you, fully dressed as a rancher, and you spend your other time doing fishing..."

"Mind you, a simple rancher can also be a powerful Mafia..."

"Did Benny send you out here today?" Mary said, her eyes narrowing, already positive that was the exact reason why she was sitting there.

"No... she did not. Why would Benita send me anywhere? I am my own boss... Only my wife ever gets to tell me what to do, and also my grandmothers because I work for them..."

"Swear right now on your wife and your unborn daughter that you are not sitting here because Benny sent you to spy on me."

Angel let out a long sigh, dropping her fork. "Yes, fine, you are right. Your Beta wife sent me here because you are going out with an Alpha. But look at it from her angle for a second. You are out here hanging out with some musts Alpha dude, and as a Beta, she is naturally insecure that you will eventually leave her for someone like him."

"I will never do something like that to Benny. I love her so much, even though she has been acting so weird and distant lately, and I honestly don’t know why..."

"Maybe you should actually sit down and ask her why, and she might tell you why..."

"I already did ask her, and she will just end up replying that it’s nothing at all. She insists she is totally fine."

"FYI, she is definitely not fine... She literally rescued you from that Nun orphanage and brought you all the way to your mother’s land, and it ended up turning into a wild life of guns and blood."

"Before we even arrived here, I clearly told Benny what my mother’s family did for a living, and she said as long as we were together, she was completely fine with it."

"You did not also inform her that you were planning to join the business... Look at you now, going from that Holy Virgin Mary to some big bad Bloody Mary..."

"It’s not like I really had a choice back then. It was because I was so weak that my uncle easily controlled my whole life and put me inside an orphanage to rot so that he could thrive on my parents’ hard work. If I was strong back then, then maybe my parents’ fortune wouldn’t be sitting in his hands right now..."

"Well, maybe you should tell Benny exactly how you feel and actually create time to be with her. She spends most of her days down at the harbor, sitting around reading and mixing alcohol, and she disturbs me unnecessary.."

"Fine, I will sit down and talk to her the second I get back, and also, I really can’t believe she doesn’t trust me."

"She trusts you completely, but she doesn’t trust him."

Pedro finally returned from the restroom, walking back to the table.

"Sorry about that, ladies. I hope I did not waste your time here. Are you done eating? Shall we head straight back to Playa Linda now?" Pedro said, pulling out his wallet.

"Why do you want us to leave right now? We haven’t even eaten dessert yet, and I really want to taste the dessert to see if my wife would like it," Angel said, staring hard at the dude.

"Well, then you can easily sit right here and wait for dessert... Lady Mary, let’s leave together."

Looking at him and wondering why on earth he was in such a sudden hurry all of a sudden, Angel thought about how, right before he left for the bathroom, he wasn’t acting like that at all. He was literally telling them earlier, "Take all your time."

Angel stubbornly made them wait for dessert to arrive and even asked the waiter for a takeaway box to bring straight home to April.

While the three of them were finally heading out to the parking lot, they suddenly got completely cornered by armed gangs.
