Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 225: Going To The US
Angel had absolutely no idea how to process the news her wife had just announced at the breakfast table. April was leaving for the United States on a business trip, and she would be gone for two whole days.
Two days!
April was the one preparing breakfast that morning, moving between the kitchen counter and the stove while keeping an eye on her wife’s increasingly troubled expression. She had expected Angel to be unhappy about the trip, but the look on the big Alpha’s face made it seem as though she had just announced that she wanted a divorce instead of a short business trip.
"Papi, it’s two days, not forever... I will be back on Sunday evening..." April said, trying to reassure her.
"Two days? That sounds like two hundred fucking years..." Angel complained.
"Mama, Mommy is saying the forbidden word again..." Lulu announced, her attention still on her cereal. Although she continued eating, her eyes had widened considerably at the word her mother had just used.
"Angel..." April said, turning to look at her wife.
"Sorry, it slipped out. I will be careful next time..."
"According to the January Del Rosario family rules, number 12 says whoever says any of the forbidden words should write an apology letter every day for a whole week..." Lulu reminded them, reciting the family rule with the seriousness of a little judge delivering a sentence.
"They are your rules, Papi. I want an apology letter every day on that fridge..." April declared.
"Fine, fine. But can Katie go, just like she has always been doing?" Angel asked, reluctantly returning to the matter that had been troubling her.
"She is feeling under the weather, so I have to go. Come on, my darling... I promise to video call you whenever I have the chance."
Angel’s expression remained troubled. This was a particularly difficult decision for her to accept because April had not travelled outside Mexico since they had arrived seven years ago. Now, without much warning, her wife was preparing to leave for the United States for a business meeting, and Angel was expected to spend an entire weekend without her.
The thought alone was enough to ruin her appetite.
"Alright then, you can go..." Angel finally agreed, although she sounded anything but happy about it.
"Thank you, sweetie..." April replied with a smile before leaning over to kiss the big Alpha.
The moment their lips met, two pairs of little eyes turned towards them.
Lulu and Ocean stared at their mothers, watching them with such intense curiosity that it was almost impossible to miss. Ocean sat comfortably in her high chair, while Lulu paused her breakfast long enough to study the affectionate couple.
"How are you two doing this, where are you keeping all the babies...?" Lulu asked.
Once again, her daughter had returned to the subject of babies.
"I have told you a couple of times that, no baby..." Angel replied, already familiar with the direction of Lulu’s thoughts.
"Fine..." Lulu muttered before returning to her food.
Angel watched her daughter for a moment before turning her attention to the weekend ahead.
"Looks like it’s going to be just me, you and baby Ocean this weekend, Lulu..."
"Correction, you and Ocean. Mama promised to take me to the US, and I get to visit my aunties and uncle. I want to see June’s house... and I have already met the requirements. I got a B in Maths, and I did the dishes properly for three weeks straight, so I am qualified..." Lulu explained.
Angel slowly turned towards her daughter.
Apparently, while she had been worrying about spending two days away from April, her little Alpha had already made plans of her own. Lulu had not only secured a promise from her mother but had also completed the necessary requirements to qualify for the trip, at least according to the rules she had established for herself.
"Good, it has been decided. We are all going to the US..." Angel announced, suddenly looking far more enthusiastic.
If April was going to leave Mexico anyway, then accompanying her sounded much better than staying behind and counting the hours until Sunday evening. Angel could already imagine herself enjoying the trip with her wife and daughter instead of spending the weekend missing them.
"No, me and Lulu are going to the US. You are taking Ocean to the dentist tomorrow for a checkup, remember..." April reminded her.
Angel’s excitement disappeared almost immediately.
She turned towards Ocean, who was still sitting in her high chair, blissfully unaware that her presence had just ruined her mother’s travel plans. The little Omega was supposed to have a dental appointment the following day, which was Saturday, and Angel had completely forgotten about it.
"Okay, fine. It’s just me and you, Ocean..." Angel said lazily, accepting defeat.
"Don’t worry, Mommy. I will take so many pictures and send them to you..."
"Alright, my little Angel. Finish your cereal so I can drive you to school..."
With that, the breakfast conversation came to an end, and everyone began their daily activities.
After picking Lulu up from school, Angel took Ocean along to visit Sabrina and Carlos for their usual Friday playdate.
As always, Angelo and Lulu wasted no time getting together, eager to spend the afternoon playing games and competing against each other. Their rivalry had started when they were toddlers, and neither had any intention of letting the other win easily. With their parents nearby, the two little Alphas could turn even the simplest game into a serious competition.
Both children preferred video games to outdoor activities, a habit they had picked up from Sabrina, who loved gaming whenever she had free time. Her twin brother, on the other hand, preferred outdoor activities, making their differences even more amusing.
While Sabrina played video games with the little Alphas, Angel and Carlos taught Daisy and Ocean how to swim, staying close to help them feel comfortable in the water and keep them safe.
Meanwhile, Katie was upstairs in her room with their third child, who was resting. With everyone occupied, the Friday playdate continued with video games and swimming.
