Chapter 219: Conqueror
“Wassup, choom? Why the long face, hot stuff? This nagging old hag keeping ya’ off the dating floor?”
The second bandaged Rebecca tried to flirt with Six.
The growl he made wasn’t human.
It was a guttural, primal sound—like a beast long chained finally slipping its collar. Six’s eyes burned with crimson light, his face shadowed beneath the flicker of heat waves rising from his skin. His body leaned forward, one hand on the hilt of his massive blade, the other twitching as if holding back the urge to rip, tear, end.
The second Rebecca’s smirk faltered.
She noticed that she might of fucked up:
There was no lust, no teasing threat, no hesitation in Six’s gaze.
Only judgment.
This was purposeful annihilation.
He wasn’t playing along.
He was delivering a verdict.
And she’d just placed herself at the center of his crosshairs.
The crew felt it—his bloodlust spiking like a blade to the throat. Boone moved instinctively, weapon half-raised. Raul’s fingers hovered near his revolver. Cassidy’s drink shattered in her grasp, unnoticed. Even Veronica, trained and fearless, took a step back.
ED-E shrieked a danger alert. Rex whined low and nervously.
Then—
“SIX!”
The original Rebecca’s scream cut through the heat like a blade. Her voice cracked, full of emotion, not fear—but pain.
Six paused.
Just slightly.
His body trembled—not from restraint, but from the conflict ripping through him.
The second Rebecca laughed nervously.
“Whoa, okay, big guy, I was just—”
She didn’t get to finish.
Because in the next heartbeat, Roger vanished, using Shave—his high-speed movement cracking the air behind him clashing swords with Six.
The clash was instant—raw, explosive, seismic.
Roger’s blade met Six’s with a force that cracked the tiled ground beneath their feet like glass under a hammer. A shockwave erupted outward, blasting debris and dust through the ruined halls of the Sierra Madre.
Rusted chandeliers groaned and collapsed from the ceiling. The crumbling stone fractured further. Walls creaked under the pressure of two titanic forces colliding.
Veronica and Boone staggered, shielding their eyes. Cassidy braced herself against a support beam as the air vibrated like a struck bell. Even ED-E’s stabilizers whirred in a panic, while Rex growled, backing up.
Six didn’t move. Not really. He hadn’t even swung yet—he had just blocked. And the heat? It surged higher, dancing up the walls like a furnace. His expression remained locked in predatory silence, eyes glowing with blood-red purpose.
Roger, sweating, grunted under the pressure. He could feel it—Six was still holding back. Tremendously so.
The next second, Roger, who had just clashed with his sword, felt as if his body was imprisoned unable to move. The weight above him felt like an invisible mountain pressing down, making it impossible for him to resist, and he was pushed back before Six.
“This… this is—”
Catching his breath, Roger supported himself with his sword and, using all his strength looked up at Six, his face filled with horror.
“Conqueror’s Haki! You stupid apprentice of mine actually… You finally awakened Conqueror’s Haki!”
Roger’s shout rang through the burning air like a thunderclap, swallowed immediately by the low, thrumming boom of Six’s aura expanding further. The stone beneath them cracked, dust rising in columns around his feet as the building groaned like it, too, felt the weight of his fury.
The energy rippling from Six wasn’t magic. It wasn’t a mutation. It wasn’t science.
It was will—raw, furious, undeniable.
An aura that didn’t ask for permission or speak in terms.
It commanded.
Boone and the second Rebecca staggered. Cassidy and Twig dropped to one knee, gasping. Veronica threw an arm over her eyes like she’d been staring at the sun itself. Raul simply swore in Spanish and braced against a scorched pillar.
Even ED-E stuttered in mid-air, circuits whining in protest, and was caught by Rex.
Only Rebecca stood tall against the tidal wave of dominance, trembling but unmoved. Not because the force wasn’t trying to break her… but because Six wasn’t letting it.
He was crushing everything around him.
Everything except her.
Roger’s eyes widened, understanding hitting him like a freight train.
“No wonder you’ve been holding back all this time.”
He whispered.
“You weren’t just getting stronger. You were just regaining your power back, becoming your original monstrous self.”
Six didn’t speak. He didn’t need to.
But the original Rebecca took a step forward—just one—and Six’s aura recoiled slightly like a beast responding to its master’s presence. His red eyes flicked to her, breathing uneven, still on the edge.
“Six.”
She said, voice shaky but sure.
“STOP IT! Both of you!”
Her voice, for a moment, was louder than the roaring heat.
He froze.
“…I’m your Moon, your partner. You remember, right?”
His sword lowered, though not fully sheathed. The haze in his eyes flickered, mind clawing its way back.
“I need you to see me right now—not through rage. Not through power. Just me.”
Slowly, painfully, Six’s stance loosened.
The weight in the air lifted by degrees.
The carpet under his boots still smoked, the walls still glowed orange—but the inferno was beginning to calm.
Roger lowered his sword, sweating buckets.
“She’s the only one who can reach him… Thank God.”
Six blinked. Just once. The grip on his sword eased… slightly. A flicker passed across his expression—doubt, recognition, something soft trying to crawl its way through the inferno.
And the crew knew—they were one wrong move away from war with the very man they once followed.
But the second Rebecca?
Still smirking.
Still smug.
Spoke.
“Y’know, this ain’t how ya pick up a girl, big guy. You’re supposed to ask for her number, not try to cleave her in two.”
Six’s sword turned ever so slightly toward her.
“GRRRRRRRRR. Eliminate!!!”
He muttered, voice like magma grinding through gravel.
