Chapter 220: Eliminate

And then, from the silence, a whisper—bandaged Becca, smirking again:

"Damn. That’s actually kinda hot, too."

A vein popped in Original Rebecca’s forehead.

"Oh hell no—"

Veronica grabbed her arm before another brawl could erupt.

The final syllable hadn’t even fully left Six’s mouth before the temperature in the room spiked again—this time catastrophically.

The moment he said "Eliminate", the molten rage he had barely kept under control detonated.

His body shimmered with heat haze. His muscles tensed like drawn cables. The floor beneath his feet melted into slag, the fibers of the carpet igniting into vapor.

The second Rebecca’s smirk died instantly.

Her instincts screamed to flee—but her knees buckled under the weight of Six’s unrelenting will. Every ounce of her arrogance evaporated under that singular word. It wasn’t a command.

It was an execution order.

Roger shouted.

"SIX, WAIT—"

But it was too late.

He moved again—Shave—so fast he left a sonic boom in his wake. The concussive wave shattered every window on the Sierra Madre’s floor. Furniture disintegrated into ash.

Only one thing stood between Six and the total annihilation of the second bandaged Rebecca.

Rebecca herself.

"Void Trigger!"

Rebecca’s rabbit girl form didn’t slow down as she charged to block her husband’s attack with incredible speed. Her leg muscles expanded as she kicked at Six! In the next moment, her steel boot collided with his sword.

"Luna Rush!"

Rebecca roared as she launched a fierce flurry of powerful kicks toward Six. His blank beast-like eyes narrowed, and instead of counterattacking, he chose to defend himself, reluctant to hurt her. However, one of Rebecca’s kicks connected directly with his chest.

Boom!

The impact created a visible shockwave, causing the surrounding walls to crack as Six was sent flying down into the floors below the Sierra Madre.

After a brief impasse, the entire crew took a few steps back, fearing Six coming back.

As the dust settled and the Sierra Madre’s upper floor groaned from the impact crater where Six had crashed through, silence fell like a guillotine.

That silence didn’t last.

From deep below, a low rumble began—like the earth itself was growling.

Rebecca was aware that her husband, in his deranged state, would return in just a few minutes, thanks to her Observations Haki.

"Shit. He’s already regaining his focus."

Roger hissed, gripping a crumbling banister for support as he peered into the gaping hole below.

"He didn’t even counterattack her. That means he’s still in there."

Rebecca moved with precision. She split herself into twelve versions using her Luna Phase, each one of her doppelg?ngers dashing with inhuman agility, carrying wounded and the other members of the crew.

Rex barked once before curling tightly in one doppelg?ngers arms, tail tucked.

ED-E buzzed frantically, venting excess heat from his circuits.

The second Rebecca didn’t resist being carried—too rattled by the reality that she had nearly died under a single, serious swing.

Boone grunted, not liking being carried like a princess, while Raul didn’t mind.

Twig clung to the doppelg?nger like a lifeline.

Veronica, Kiwi, and Sasha stared wide-eyed at the trail of smoke left behind.

Even Cassidy was dead sober now.

"Where are we going!?"

Falco shouted, glancing back as smoke began to rise through the shattered windows above them.

Rebecca’s real body responded from the front, panting slightly from exertion.

"Anywhere, not close to him when he comes back."

Roger emerged from the side entrance, armor scorched, face set like flint.

"He won’t stay under long. He’s figuring things out. The more time he’s in that Red Form, the more his relying on pure instinct."

Rebecca’s jaw tightened.

"I know."

"He didn’t swing at you, Becca."

Roger added.

"He blocked. He blocked, even when he had every reason to strike. He’s clawing his way back to himself."

She didn’t respond immediately. Her fists trembled at her sides. Her rabbit ears twitched.

"He’s fighting it. But if he loses?"

Roger looked her straight in the eyes.

"Then we better pray you can reach him again before we’re ash."

Overhead, the building shook violently—a pressure wave, a roar that made even the clouds tremble.

Six was coming back.

The desert air outside the Sierra Madre was sharp, hot, dry, and shockingly still compared to the inferno they’d just escaped. The crew, scattered among the molten rocky outcroppings and burnt, ruined buildings along the casino’s perimeter, and moved with quiet urgency.

Rebecca and her twelve versions took a large gulp of air, and sweat poured from her brow. Her limbs trembled, not from exhaustion alone—but from fear.

Boone knelt behind a shattered slot machine dragged from the ruins, scanning the upper floors with his rifle. His usual stone-cold calm was now laced with sweat.

"Anyone else feel like we barely made it out?"

"No shit."

Raul grumbled, dragging a tarp over Kiwi and Lucy.

"That walking Chernobyl almost turned us into radioactive soup."

Cassidy sat cross-legged on a broken patio chair, flask in hand, her face pale.

"I can’t even drink this. It’s boiling."

"ED-E is still venting steam."

Veronica said, crouched next to the little bot.

"He almost cooked his processors just being near Six."

Rex lay flat, tail twitching in a mix of nerves and instinct. His ears flicked with each sound from the still-shaking casino.

The second Rebecca stood silently a little apart, her cocky veneer stripped clean. For once, she didn’t speak.

Then—

"OW! Hey—stop tugging at my damn arm, Sasha!"

Sasha, all 4’11" of determined fury, was dragging the second Rebecca away by her sleeve.

"You’re going to stand in the back. No more talking. No more flirting. No more pissing off nuclear daddies."

Rebecca (the original) turned to Roger.

"How bad?"

Roger, panting slightly, wiped soot from his beard.

"If he’s still in there, then this was just a warning. When he fully gives in, that sword won’t miss."

Rebecca clenched her fists, her knuckles turning white.

"I won’t let it get that far again."

Falco crossed his arms.

"And if it does?"

She looked back at the Sierra Madre—smoke still rising, and deep rumbles like something massive shifting beneath the earth.

"...Then I’ll make him see me again. Even if I have to tear through the storm inside him myself."

Twig, wide-eyed, muttered.

"Damn. And I thought my love life was intense."

The group chuckled lightly—but the tension didn’t fade.

Everyone knew this was just a pause.

And soon, the real fight would begin.
