Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2495: Why Did You Make Me Your Secretary?
When Jasmine Yale emerged from Manager Quinto’s office, she couldn’t quite believe it; she hadn’t expected Will Caddel to give her such a great opportunity.
Following Will Caddel is certainly more promising than staying in the marketing department, allowing her to gain experience and broaden her horizons.
As Manager Quinto said, it’s an easy choice.
Without hesitating, Jasmine Yale returned to her office and started packing.
The dismal winter was coming to an end, signs of spring’s warmth were appearing everywhere, even the office was becoming more cozy.
Before finishing her packing, she made a call to Will Caddel.
"CEO Caddel."
"Oh, Jasmine, I just finished a meeting."
"Am I disturbing you? Manager Quinto told me everything, and I’m willing to be your secretary."
"He told me as well, if you’re willing, move to the office upstairs tomorrow, the one next to mine, it’s all yours. My previous secretary resigned to return home and won’t be back. As for the office, you can decorate it to your liking, just tell me if you’re missing anything."
"I might not have much experience, and I’m unfamiliar with the business; if possible, I hope you’ll mentor me."
"No need for such formalities with me, ask me if you don’t understand something, I’m happy to teach."
"Great, I can move over right now."
"Sure, do it as you see fit."
"CEO Caddel, why make me your secretary? I’m not the best."
"I don’t judge people superficially. Choosing you as my secretary has been the result of long consideration. You learn quickly, are smart, perfect for the role."
"I only learn things unrelated to work quickly."
Will Caddel laughed: "Have a bit more confidence in yourself."
"Anyway, thank you very much."
"Stop being so polite, I don’t like it," Will Caddel’s tone was unusually stern.
"Alright... CEO Caddel."
After hanging up the phone, Jasmine Yale looked at the storage box in her hand.
Inside are stationery, documents, books, work notes... all packed in tightly, along with some of her gadgets, like stickers, ornaments, little toys.
She packed these things into the storage box, unwilling to part with any.
She headed to the top floor.
Will Caddel’s office is at the end of the corridor, her office is right next to Will’s.
There are also several vice president offices, each neatly arranged on either side.
Jasmine Yale’s office was indeed empty, aside from the furniture, there was nothing else.
The office was warm, and had great lighting; as soon as she pulled open the curtains, sunlight flooded in through the window, changing light filled the room, bathing the entire office in bright light.
The view from the top floor was also great; standing at the floor-to-ceiling windows, she could overlook the street, watching the bustling flow of people and vehicles.
Jasmine Yale enjoyed tidying up spaces; she unpacked her things and cleaned the office thoroughly.
Soon, the office was filled with a cheerful vibe; a Doraemon figure sat adorably on the mahogany desk, without a hint of disharmony.
Jasmine Yale was quite satisfied with her handiwork.
Everything here was new: new desk and chair, new computer, new bookshelves... she really liked it.
A faint scent of hardwood lingered in the air, uplifting the mood.
The bookshelves housed a lot of reference books and documents; after arranging the office, Jasmine Yale casually picked one up and started reading.
Sunlight filled the room.
