Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2496: The Bearing of One in Power
It’s not tiring to be Will Caddel’s secretary.
Rather than being her boss, he’s more like her mentor, patient and personally teaching her many things.
Everything he teaches, Jasmine Yale learns earnestly.
He’s a meticulous person, never assigning projects that are too challenging, but instead progressing step by step, starting from simpler tasks.
Will Caddel is completely unpretentious, calm and gentle; no matter what Jasmine Yale asks, he always responds with patience.
Sometimes, accidentally, she interrupts him during meetings, yet he kindly says, "It’s okay."
This man’s graciousness is innate.
Being with such a man, it’s not exhausting.
Before long, Jasmine Yale became familiar with him, and from his every action, she could tell he’s a gentleman.
That afternoon, Will Caddel took Jasmine Yale to a restaurant.
As the weather warmed, Jasmine wore a black professional suit—a blazer on top and a black A-line skirt below, with her hair up, looking quite mature.
While dining, Jasmine Yale reported the progress of several tasks to him, and he nodded with satisfaction.
"Take the afternoon off, no work. I’m planning to attend an auction, if you’re interested, you can join me," said Will Caddel.
Jasmine Yale hadn’t been to an auction before; she looked at him, "Can I go?"
"Of course." Will Caddel smiled slightly, "I just worry you might find it dull; it’s mostly antique paintings, I’m planning to buy them as gifts for my grandfather."
"It’s alright; I’d like to see for myself."
"Interested in antique paintings?"
"Not really knowledgeable."
"That’s fine, you can come with me."
The waiter brought the dishes, and Jasmine Yale sat across from Will Caddel, chatting casually while eating.
They mostly discussed work matters; Will rarely talked about personal life, at most asking what she liked to eat or where she enjoyed going.
Jasmine Yale also didn’t proactively ask Will about his personal life, as she had no interest in others’ private matters.
During the meal, Will Caddel took a few phone calls.
Dressed in a suit, standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, he had a tall figure, distinct facial features, and an expression of calm confidence that suited his authoritative stature.
Occasionally, Jasmine Yale would look up at him.
She knew Will Caddel was President Caddel’s eldest son, and President Caddel hadn’t been to ZR; this place was practically under Will’s management.
Jasmine Yale thought, with Will Caddel being such an outstanding man, he would definitely inherit ZR in the future.
Following Will Caddel indeed promised a bright future, but she also wouldn’t disappoint Will’s kindness; she’d strive to assist him as much as she could.
Jasmine Yale ate her lunch, while Will Caddel was still on the phone.
After she finished eating, Will Caddel came over.
"You finished so quickly?" Will Caddel smiled, "Then you’ll have to wait for me."
"It’s okay, take your time, I’d like to order another portion of sweet coconut sago dessert."
"You like this too? I really enjoy it."
"Do men like desserts?"
"Who says men can’t like desserts? Hmm?" Will Caddel looked at her leisurely.
"True." Jasmine Yale smiled.
The waiter served a portion of coconut sago dessert, and Jasmine Yale enjoyed eating it with Will; the sweet dessert was refreshing.
She ate joyfully, her eyes filled with a sweet smile.
Sometimes, when Will Caddel looked up, he happened to see her smiling, and couldn’t help but smile himself.
