Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2499: Sylvan Cheney Sits Beside Erin Janus

  • Next Chapter

Coming out of the restroom, Jasmine Yale felt a bit lost. She asked a staff member and found out that Will Caddel had gone to the VIP lounge.

Jasmine walked down the corridor lightly.

The VIP lounge was especially quiet, so quiet that she could even hear her own breathing.

Everywhere was silent, Jasmine held her breath as she stepped on the carpet.

She reached the doorway and was just about to raise her hand to knock when she suddenly heard a woman’s voice.

"CEO Caddel, I’m sincerely here to discuss the price with you. I really like that bracelet. I just didn’t let my assistant continue bidding because I thought there’s no point in going higher. Thirty million is the limit in my opinion."

Upon hearing this voice, Jasmine frowned.

It was... Erin Janus.

"Miss Janus, the things we love are priceless. If you’ve set a price in your heart, it means you don’t truly like it," Will Caddel replied indifferently.

"Of course I like it. I want to take it as a wedding gift for myself. I just think there’s no meaning in it."

"When it comes to the word ’like’, what’s the meaning? Miss Janus, we are not on the same path. I won’t give up the bracelet. You need to understand that not everything you miss can come back."

"CEO Caddel, you don’t need to lecture me. I’m offering thirty-five million, transfer it to me."

"I said, I’m not letting it go."

"You! Then name a price, if we can negotiate, let’s talk about it," Erin said, exasperated.

Jasmine knew Erin had a fiery temper. She raised her hand and knocked on the door.

Her heart was beating irregularly.

She was waiting for Will Caddel to open the door.

For a moment, everything was silent, and the voices inside ceased abruptly.

The door opened.

Jasmine looked up.

To her surprise, it wasn’t Will Caddel or Erin Janus who opened the door, but Sylvan Cheney.

Her heart skipped a beat; she hadn’t expected him to be here too.

Since their official breakup before New Year’s, they had only seen each other a handful of times, and it had been a long time since the last encounter.

He still looked the same, unchanged, but after opening the door, his brow was slightly furrowed.

Jasmine gave him a surprised look.

Will Caddel walked over and said, "You’re here, come in."

"Okay." Jasmine withdrew her gaze, bypassed Sylvan Cheney, and followed Will Caddel inside.

The VIP room was luxurious and spacious, equipped with everything, styled entirely in European decor, extravagant and grand, shining with golden light. There were no outsiders in the room, not even waitstaff; the space was very private and hidden.

Will Caddel had already fetched his acquired collection, the Ruby bracelet, which was well-packaged in a red satin box.

Here, there were only the four of them.

Erin Janus was sitting on the sofa drinking tea. She suddenly looked up, saw Jasmine, and her eyes darkened, showing an expression of displeasure.

"Have a seat, what would you like to drink? There’s black tea, green tea, fruit tea, but none of the milk tea you like," Will Caddel said, as he took Jasmine’s bag and bent down to ask patiently.

"Then black tea," Jasmine replied, looking at him.

"Alright."

Will Caddel personally fetched the teapot and poured Jasmine a cup of hot tea.

Erin Janus’s gaze was fixed tightly on Jasmine, probably not expecting to run into her.

Sylvan Cheney sat beside Erin Janus, holding an unlit cigarette, his gaze deep, his thin lips tightly pursed, saying nothing.

"CEO Caddel," Erin Janus said impatiently, "let’s do this, name a price and I’ll see if I can accept it."

Will Caddel handed the white teacup to Jasmine, sat on the sofa, and looked at Erin Janus, "I already said, I’m not selling."
