Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2500: Getting Too Angry Is Bad for the Baby

"CEO Caddel, there’s no need for this. You’re a man; a bracelet won’t be of much use to you. I’m about to get married, so I can use it as a dowry."

Will Caddel chuckled awkwardly, "Who says the bracelet will be of no use to me if I buy it?"

He reached over to the box in front of him, opened the lid, and took out the exquisitely carved gold bracelet.

Before Jasmine Yale could react, Will Caddel grabbed her wrist and slipped the gold bracelet onto her slender arm.

"Hey, CEO Caddel." Jasmine Yale was astonished, not expecting him to do that.

"Great, it fits perfectly." Will Caddel released his hand, his attentive gaze lingering on Jasmine Yale’s arm for a long time, his eyes reflecting a deep shine.

The cool bracelet on her wrist made Jasmine feel dazed.

A three-million-dollar bracelet, she wore it cautiously, afraid to move for fear of scratching or hitting it.

Erin Janus suddenly grabbed the teacup, clenching her teeth.

"Miss Janus, I won’t sell the bracelet; you’re free to go." Will Caddel said leisurely, with indifference.

"Doesn’t CEO Caddel think that such a beautiful bracelet deserves a fine woman?" Erin Janus said disdainfully, "Even if you don’t want to sell it to me, there’s no need to waste such a good bracelet."

"Miss Janus is right. Such a good bracelet deserves someone worthy to wear it, as the saying goes, ’A flower deserves a beauty.’ That’s also why I decided not to sell it to Miss Janus." Will Caddel smiled, his words thick with tension.

Erin Janus angrily put down the teacup and grabbed Sylvan Cheney’s arm. "Honey, are you just going to let him bully me like this?"

Sylvan Cheney sat aside, glancing at Will Caddel.

After a moment, he said faintly, "CEO Caddel’s taste is not remarkable."

"Whether or not my taste is remarkable is none of CEO Cheney’s business. It’s enough that CEO Cheney has good taste." Will Caddel said coldly, "This is my lounge, and I’d appreciate it if the two of you give me some peace and quiet."

"If you don’t want to sell it, then fine. There’s no need to be so aggressive." Erin Janus stood up. "There are plenty of good things in the world; I don’t have to have this bracelet. Now that I look at it, this bracelet isn’t that special; it’s rather gaudy, and only suits tacky people."

Erin Janus’s gaze fell on Jasmine Yale’s wrist, her expression unpleasant.

Will Caddel stood up: "I won’t see you out."

"Honey, let’s go. I don’t want to get angry; too much anger is not good for the baby." Erin Janus pulled Sylvan Cheney, affectionately glancing at him as they headed towards the door.

Jasmine Yale’s eyes drifted to Erin Janus’s stomach.

Today, Erin Janus was wearing a light blue formal dress, slightly loose, so it wasn’t obvious she was pregnant. However, someone who usually loved beauty indeed wasn’t wearing high heels but a pair of white flats, and her makeup was quite light.

Sylvan Cheney took her away.

Just after leaving the VIP room, Erin Janus angrily and discontentedly sneered, "What’s he so proud of? Just an illegitimate child of the Caddel Family, yet he acts like he’s somebody."

For some unknown reason, at that moment, Jasmine Yale suddenly stood up from the sofa and instinctively ran to the VIP room door, closing it.

Once the door was closed, no sound from outside could be heard.

Will Caddel raised his head, a subtle brightness flickering in his eyes, his lingering gaze fixed on her face.

Jasmine Yale stood in front of the door, smiling: "The black tea here is really good. Would you like to try it? And the blue and white porcelain vase, can I take a look at it?"

Will Caddel withdrew his gaze, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips, and nodded: "Of course."

The bracelet was still on Jasmine Yale’s wrist.
