Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2501: I Haven’t Read Much, So Don’t Fool Me
The door closed, blocking out the rumors from outside.
The VIP lounge held only Will Caddel and Jasmine Yale.
Will Caddel showed the blue-and-white porcelain vase he had bid on to Jasmine Yale, patiently explaining the process of crafting blue-and-white porcelain, its ups and downs, and the meanings behind each pattern on it.
The vase he won had designs symbolizing longevity and happiness, making it an ideal gift for the elderly.
Jasmine Yale bent over, quietly admiring the exquisite vase, carefully refraining from touching it.
After viewing the vase, she removed the bracelet and returned it to Will Caddel: "You should keep it. I don’t know much about collectibles, but I know these things need to be carefully preserved."
Will Caddel glanced at the gold bracelet and smiled, "I heard that whoever first wears jewelry bought at auction becomes its designated owner."
"Is there such a saying?" Jasmine Yale was surprised, "I haven’t read much, don’t trick me."
"Don’t worry, I’ve read a lot."
Jasmine Yale laughed, "But I still can’t accept it, it’s too valuable for me to imagine."
"To me, it’s just a collection piece, but I still hope it can have a suitable owner."
"That shouldn’t be me, why not give it to your mother or grandmother?" Jasmine Yale knew he didn’t have a girlfriend and wasn’t married yet.
"My grandmother has long passed, my mother... Well, if you’re unwilling to accept it, I can help you keep it. It’s keeping it safe, not taking it back."
"You’d better keep it; I don’t have any experience preserving bracelets."
Will Caddel did not insist, taking back the gold bracelet and carefully placing it into a satin jewelry box, closing the lid with care.
Seeing he took it back, Jasmine Yale finally breathed a sigh of relief, "CEO Caddel, are we going to the second half of the auction?"
"Are you interested?"
"Not too bad, it’s quite interesting, it’s my first time at an auction."
"I can take you to more social events in the future, I’ll bring you along."
"You’re the most responsible boss I’ve ever met."
"Am I? I just want a loyal, diligent, and capable secretary, but I wasn’t satisfied with those I recruited, so I have to train personally." Will Caddel curved his lips into a smile, "Sit down and take a break, I’ll take you to the second half. Is there anything you particularly like?"
"Me? I like those little clay figurines and trinkets that cost two or three bucks on the street, haha."
Will Caddel laughed along, "You’re quite interesting."
"The black tea tastes nice, let me make you a cup." Jasmine Yale stood up and walked over to the tea table.
She poured a cup of black tea for Will Caddel, just as he had served her a cup.
There were only the two of them in the lounge, no one else.
Outside the window, green trees budded under the bright sunlight, casting moist light and shadows on the floor. The large lounge was very quiet.
Will Caddel stood by the sofa, looking up at Jasmine Yale as she poured water, her black hair shimmering with golden light under the lamps. She was intently focused on the water in the teapot.
When she was serious, wholly absorbed, not disturbed by the outside world, it was as if she was immersed in her own little world, even if it was just for pouring a cup of tea.
As Jasmine Yale turned her head, she found Will Caddel watching her, and she smiled slightly, "CEO Caddel, give it a taste."
"Mm." Will Caddel nodded.
Jasmine Yale stood beside him for a while, chatting over a few trivial topics.
Neither mentioned what had just happened, as if nothing had happened at all.
